This is to inform all employees that due to recent incidents, all employees are now required to wear closed toe shoes effective as of April 11th. As I am sure most of you have heard that in the past month we have had two separate incidents where both Deborah and Richard have experienced accidents in the workplace due to their choice of shoe wear. Both Deborah and Richard are fine and expected to make full recoveries and hopefully return to work by the end of the year. As a result of these incidents, all employees must wear appropriate show wear at all times while on premises. Examples of shoe wear that is not to be worn include, but are not limited to; flip flops, sandals, loafers, slippers, wedges, heels, platform shoes, crocs, and etc. Any
Although dress codes promote safety there are some negative affects of it. Dress codes don’t prepare kids for the jobs in the future. “Some employers—some dotcom companies, for example—care less about how their employees dress and more about their work.” (Wilder 4) Even though a lot of jobs don’t require dress
“God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good” Genesis 1:25. When God created the earth he uniquely formed each animal with different characteristics, yet each special in their own way. Not one animal possess the same construction like another. Referring to the majestic species of horses, many owners find a multitude of issues they face within the care of horses. Specifically, the ongoing debate of placing shoes on a horse verses leaving them barefoot. Frankly, the decision comes down to the expense of the shoes, the discipline in which the horse engages, and consideration of the advantages and disadvantages to both sides of the argument.

When I was 6 years’ old all I ever did was play in my yard. Especially on a beautiful summer day like this one. I was doing what any six-year-old would running, jumping, and playing (barefoot I might add). I don’t know about you but where I am from in Indiana we have these plants called sticker bushes, it looks like a little patch of crab grass with pointy needles in it. Unless you have come across one before or have a history of injury due to said plant you are likely to not notice them. I being the naïve six-year-old I was thought nothing in nature could hurt me, boy was I wrong. So there I was running and playing barefoot and what do you know I stupidly run right into the world’s largest sticker bush. I am talking a giant bush. About 100

Clubfoot can be diagnosed from 18-20 weeks of gestation with the use of ultrasound, this however has an 80% accuracy, as the ultrasounds beam is not able to penetrate all the bones [5]. Dr Nanda Kumar research focuses on the 3 dimensional aspect of the foot's deformity, where the “relationship of the calcaneus to the talus is characterised by abnormal rotation in the sagittal, coronal and horizontal planes” [5]. A 3 Dimensional scanner has been designed to help determine the elasticity in tissue of the affected foot, a method of diagnostic which is much preferred as there is no need for sedation and lacks ionizing radiation from other diagnostic technologies that are available. Multiple images will be captured simultaneously then stitched
Many nurses appreciate the comfort and stability that the shoes offer. Longtime nurse Lynn Laidlaw from Alloa, Scotland agrees, stating that “they are by far the most comfortable pair of shoes [she has] ever worn, especially on a busy 12-hour shift” (Laidlaw). Concurring with this opinion is Harold Glickman, the former president of the APMA who gets “the sense [he is] standing on water -- no leg pain, no back pain, and no arch pain when operating for three or four hours at a time” (Hatfield). However, most models of Crocs have holes in them, allowing fluids or sharp items to penetrate one’s foot ("Nurses Unconvinced By Crocs Danger Claims”). Furthermore, Crocs Inc. issued a safety caution warning nurses that Crocs cause static to generate, potentially hampering with medical apparatus like heart monitors for example ("Wear Anti-Static Wrist Bands, Say Crocs Manufacturers"). The company even advised medical practitioners to wear anti-static wristbands while on duty in spite of the fact that most hospitals do not allow the staff to have anything below their elbows. Mike Hayward, a professional nurse adviser at the Royal College of Nursing, declares that they are not appropriate in areas with technical equipment because safety supersedes
Many businesses have begun using a casual dress policy on certain days. Implementing dress-down days may be an effective way to boost employee morale. The question that seems to pop up too often is whether dress-down days are a benefit or burden to the company. Many companies have adopted Friday as a casual or dress-down day, while others have made casual business attire a full-time policy. Some employees view wearing casual business clothing as an employee benefit. To others, it is a disaster. Both men and women are often confused about what "casual" means and about how to dress casually and still look professional. Some people in management positions feel employees goof off on casual dress day. This report will look at all these issues as well as a conclusion about the effectiveness of casual dress days.

[1] Socks have been worn by both men and women for centuries to stylishly protect the feet and keep them warm. Today, socks serve much the same purpose, along with a few additional purposes, and they come in many different styles and sizes depending on the wearer’s needs. [8] Though socks have been worn since ancient times, they became a representation of personal style during the fifteenth century and went on to symbolize social status and wealth for centuries following. Socks have always served as a protective barrier for the feet and were meant to keep the feet warm, though later they were used as a fashion statement as well.

Year by year, shoes have been improving and becoming more and more popular. Now, we have all the equipment and all the materials we need to make the shoe better than ever.
Everyone in the laboratory needs to wear splash goggles for eye protection at all times, and safety goggles are uniquely designed to protect lab used in case of an accident. Company policies and procedures should be easy to follow, to minimize confusion and disputes. When new employees join a firm, during their introduction procedure they should be informed of all necessary policies and procedures so they can work in a correct and safe way as soon as their job begins. If any employee is found to not be following any official guidelines or legislation, they should be appropriately reprimanded. In most cases, this should in the first instance mean a warning. If an employee breaks the rules again, more serious discipline may be given (Portsmouth City Council, n.d.).
