When I was 6 years’ old all I ever did was play in my yard. Especially on a beautiful summer day like this one. I was doing what any six-year-old would running, jumping, and playing (barefoot I might add). I don’t know about you but where I am from in Indiana we have these plants called sticker bushes, it looks like a little patch of crab grass with pointy needles in it. Unless you have come across one before or have a history of injury due to said plant you are likely to not notice them. I being the naïve six-year-old I was thought nothing in nature could hurt me, boy was I wrong. So there I was running and playing barefoot and what do you know I stupidly run right into the world’s largest sticker bush. I am talking a giant bush. About 100
needles go into each of my teeny tiny feet. The pain is very unique to describe I guess if I had to call it anything it’s like getting 100 shots at the doctor with those thick needles they use to draw blood. Now getting caught in my foot wasn’t the worst part having them pulled out of my foot 1 by 1 was definitely the worst part here. I screamed at the top of my lungs for a total of 2 hours while my mom, uncle, and his friend took tweezers and individually pulled those stickers out of my foot. Why is this fundamental to me? I know now that even on your best day’s bad things can and will happen. Also I never go outside without shoes on anymore.
It was a sunny day the trees had no leaves because they were all on the ground. It was a little chilly and the sun was slowly going down. We went to my aunt's house and put the vest and leash on him. At first Joshua was scared he just stayed still not moving. Then curiosity occurred and he started running around the yard really fast. My dad said “ just follow him don’t pull on him! Just follow him around.”He was happy he did a binky. A binky is an expression of joy from a bunny. Bunnies jumps into the air, often twisting and flicking its feet and head. I remember him running and digging in the leafs. Then Joshua ran into a bush. He really scared me his leash got tied he panicked and started pulling. My mom screamed “ let go, let go.” I slowly let go while my mom unraveled it. I remember my heart beating really fast it all happened so fast His leash was almost undone, we picked him up and redid it. After that he wasn't affected by the event he was fine. I was really glad we caught that the vest almost came off because if it did he would just keep running and we would never be able to pick him. Even though it was a scary situation i was glad he still got to run around and be happy. Joshua was fine he was really happy later. I'm glad i connect with “Dirk the Protector” it made the story
One of the most well-known urban legends told is the story of Bigfoot. Much of the research has shown that there are several names assigned to the mammoth ape. According to Napier (1973), Bigfoot would be the creature found mostly in Northwest America, Sasquatch would be a creature named in British Colombia, the 49th parallel in the north-west states of America and Northern California, and the Abominable Snowman, or the Yeti would be the creature named in the Himalayas. Of course, “Wild Man” and “Savage” have also been names used to identify the creature. There’s been thousands of sightings across the world, but there have also been many misidentifications where those who think they have seen Bigfoot have really just seen an ordinary animal or person. Arment (2006) states an individual’s perception may color the eyewitness account. Such misidentifications include: hermits, fugitives, refugees, bears, gorillas, and simply people making up stories or rumors. In addition to sightings, there have been photos, videos, movies, and TV shows that strongly indicates the possibility of the existence of this creature. Though there is much evidence from sightings, myths, and recordings that Bigfoot exists, there is also much proof that it could all be a hoax. Incorrect sightings have led skeptics to argue over the existence of this being stating Bigfoot is really just a fable. So one has to ask oneself, does Bigfoot really exist or is it just another urban legend?
Traditions in Chinese culture are long-rooted and are taken very seriously from generation to generation. However, there must always be room for modern change in order for society to grow and strive across the globe. In Bound Feet and Western Dress the conflict between Chinese traditions and modern change arises. With this conflict it is important to discuss the different meanings of liberation for men and women and they way in which Chang Yu-I was able to obtain liberation throughout her life.
I lost my grip on the handle bars and began to fly over the front of the four wheeler. My dad quickly reacted and grabbed me and pulled me back onto the seat. We came to an abrupt stop as we struck the opposite side of the ditch. The sound of the muffled four wheeler echoed in our ears as we sat there in disbelief. What have I done.

Our enemy was the Japanese, but when the war ended, it also had another story to it, and it was Louie, a survivor of the American army, and a survivor from a prisoner of war camp. Louie’s life was that he was an athlete in his childhood, and the one who made Louie into an athlete was Pete, his big brother in the family, which his brother was the one that encouraged Louie the most. When Louie was older, he joined the army, and when he joined, he was still running and practiced like an athlete. When Louie was growing up, he kept on changing his personalities, and was growing new traits as he learned from others, and had joy with loved ones too. In the book Unbroken, the author Laura Hillenbrand described Louie as
On a summer afternoon in my hometown of Hemet, California is like every other day in the summer where everyone is in their houses cooling off or in their pools. When standing in the middle of the street in front of my house I notice four trees in the front yard. Two of the four trees stand on the right side of the yard. An Elm tree twenty feet from the road the height of a two-story house with an unfinished project of a tree house up in the branches from years ago. And an apricot tree that is the height of a one-story building that is about 35 feet from the road with branches easy to climb up. On the left side of the yard I see two more trees; an old nectarine tree half the size of a one-story house about ten feet from the road, and a lemon tree about 30 feet from the road that is about the size of a one-story house. On the curb

It has long been believed that humankind owes its survival to bipedalism, which is the ability to walk on two legs. This is the first human characteristic to distinguish human from other primates. It is habitual, meaning that it is the primary form of transportation. This characteristic thrived in a time where forests were shrinking and the environment consisted of grasslands. The feature bipedal locomotion leads humans to manipulate their surroundings, bypassing their biological features and being given to the ability to live anywhere, and in any environment. Although developing into bipedal organisms hominids were taking a big gamble. With all the benefits of bipedalism, there are also many disadvantages. In some cases these disadvantages

In today’s day and age, almost all kids have a smartphone and know how to work technology. Kids are able to browse the internet, sign into Netflix, twitter, Facebook, etc. It is a great idea that kids are expose to what the future maybe, and are learning from technology, but parents should limit what their children use the computer for and how much time they spend on it.
