In this essay I am going to discuss the climate change with the concept of sustainable development, meaning that I am approaching climate change with an economical way and I am going to solve the climate change problem with the new growth theory. I state that climate change is an anthropogenic phenomenon and that the natural economical behavior will in some point solve the climate change problem with creative destruction and with the new technology. This statement is approaching the utopian world but I think that it is still possible, because the human brain capacity is enormous and sufficient to solve this problem. However, are we having enough leadership to go through this process?
The definition of global warming states that there is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants. There are a lot of evidences, facts, and statistics to support that global warming is a real thing. A research, published in 2009 by Velicogna and ven den Broeke states that the ice loss rate of Greenland is accelerating and that the global sea level is rising on the side. Also the number of days with a record high temperature has increased in the relation to the number of days with a record low temperature according to the research made by Meehle, in 2009. Those studies are connected to the long-term climate tracking and thereby are right, without any doubt. H...

...w of demand and supply, and with the new growth theory. Economists stated that people will do inventions and innovations when the rewards are high enough. This means that when we are running out of oil, we will invent an alternative resource for oil or we start to search new oil sources because of the price increase. This was the case in Canada when the increase in oil prices caused innovations in oil industry and the firms started to separate oil from oil sands. The solutions for future energy problems are challenging and I will follow with interest that what will happen in the technology because many breakthroughs are close and human is starting to win the difficulties.
The conclusion of this essay is that the climate change is man-made problem and the solution for this problem is founded in sustainable economic growth, which is caused by new growth theory.
