words and documents aren’t enough. We need change, change that will give us a more reliable government and a more renewable, environmentally friendly resource. For the past year China has let out great amounts of carbon emissions, due to their rapid economic growth that is taking part at the time. The world has to realize that now isn’t the time for development because development will only quicken the clock that is counting the seconds until our destruction. We have to be like Bhutan, carbon neutral because now our future depends on our commitment to change.

Nobody should be forced to move from their home. Not for a problem that they didn’t contribute to. Not for a burden that we forced upon them. We are the reason for their problem so why should they be punished? Nations need to understand that Kiribati is just the first to get hit by climate change and that soon their problem will become our problem. We can’t keep running away because reality will catch up to us.
Nations need to realize that climate change will continue to evaporate their land if it continues into the future. It will have an effect on our food, our water, our health and our homes. All the things we need to survive and all the things that could lead to our extinction if lost to climate change. Ignorance is like closing your eyes, you refuse to see what’s right in front of you even though you know it's there. So let’s open our eyes. Let's forget ignorance. Let’s stop before it gets worse.

Nations have to realize that we are united in this problem and that together we will suffer if we don’t listen to our “wake-up

call”.
So, climate change, real or made up? Real. It's not just a word in the newspaper anymore. It now holds our world’s future in its clutches and it has already started to touch small islands like Kiribati and large nations like Alaska with its rising tides and warm temperatures.
