Every student has a diverse learning style. I believe that students should learn in a safe, caring, and understanding environment. As professional educators, we should provide this safe and open-minded environment. The ways to ensure this environment is to make sure students are actively involved in their education, to make sure teachers are providing the best materials for students to learn, and to make sure parents and the community are involved in students education.
To be in the education profession one is signing up to be a trustworthy, knowledgeable, devoted, and understanding individual. They must guarantee equal opportunities for everyone. Their primary concern is their students' learning and potential. One has to “sustain the highest degree of ethical conduct” (1). The first list of obligations in the Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in Florida contains 9 rules that are involved with the educator and their students....
The most important part of the grading process for the AP English exam that I learned about through this assignment is that the readers are not looking for perfection. Rather, they are grading the essays as drafts and looking for your understanding of the prompt. I also learned that even numbers are benchmarks, and odd numbers are a step up for the higher scores and a step down for the lower scores. I think this has helped me to understand how others will be grading my essays and what I can do to achieve a higher score.
As an educator, I have numerous learning goals for my students. In this unit, I have four that are the most significant. Students will be learning about descriptive statistics using the Engage NY curriculum. They will be deepening their understanding of descriptive statistics concepts they learned in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. Since this is a complex topic, the learning goals I created for my students are very specific and direct. These goals are aligned to the Common Core State Standards, have measurable objectives, and also have a condition, a behavior, and a criterion.
I wanted to apologize to SSgt Pedregon, Colonel Wehunt and other members that I cause this inconvenience by showing poor judgement on my behalf. I will take fully responsibility for my actions and understand the importance of the offense I had committed as sexual harassment towards SSgt Pedregon. My intentions was never to offend SSgt Pedregon or to cross the line of unprofessional relationship.

It was until you said the words “You won’t make it at Kutztown.” Your words cut like a knife, deep and leaving wounds. I was shocked, hurt, and confused as to how your mouth could spit a sentence so demeaning towards a student. To this day, I have nothing against you. I truly wish you the best and would like to thank you for shaping me into the student I am now.
In the summative course assessment, the anonymity of John will take place for my student. He is currently a sophomore with a learning disability at Roosevelt High School, given an anonymity, and taking World History. John has had four to eleven missing assignments over the past fourteen weeks in his second semester and currently has a 68% overall grade in the class (AERIES). Over this past semester, John regularly brings his chromebook to class, but never brings his laptop fully charged, therefore being unprepared for class. Consequently, this has led to causing class disruptions and allowing for himself to become his teacher’s primary focus to make sure he is on task. John has had trouble participating in class activities and completing in-class
This essay will explain how I have learned and met the course objectives from the syllabus. For starters I will explain have I have improved on all the aspect of my work and the things that I need to work on. Nevertheless, I will then address the games played in the class and talked about if they met the course objectives or not. Last, I will address what competing factors helped shaped the roles of diversity of social identity in the United States and how they have tied into the concepts of justice, liberty and equality.
While we were completing the sinking ship activity, there was a student who was raising his voice, saying “you shouldn’t be part of this table group”, “my ideas are better than yours”, and “we are bringing the axe not the bow and arrows” to his table partners. His face sagging with arms crossed across his chest. I went to sit at their table and discuss what was going on. When I sat down there was two girls to my right at the table and two boys to my left. They were at the southern coast table. They quickly blurted out that the problem was they couldn’t agree on whether to bring an axe or a quiver of bow
In the 21st century, teachers experience many behavioral issues with students in the classroom and face challenges that are very difficult to resolve. School districts have different expectations about how students must behave during school and teachers have their own expectations about how students must behave in their classroom. Every educator has different classroom expectations and students must follow specific standards; therefore, the responsibility of the teacher is to discuss the standards with all students and make sure those expectations are clear. According to Jones and Jones (2016), teachers whose students made greater achievement gains were observed establishing rules and procedures, and carefully monitoring student’s work. In
The school that I visited was new. It was the first year of the school opening. The school board had combined two schools into one, so the students had to adjust to their new environments and new individuals. They seemed to be getting along well with each other. Since the school is new the teacher has to adjust to new problems that araise. Times for the subjects and times for using the computer labs change. So the teacher must always be fixable for anything. In this observation of this classroom I learned about the enjoyment of teaching. How you have to adapt to each of the students.
