Class Pet Research

I will be presenting to you what type of class pet i think the first graders should have and love. Everyone’s always wanted a pet before, so, why not just get one for your classroom? It would make class so much more fun and want the children to go to school more to see the class pet! But, it won’t distract the class too much.
The animal I’m going to present to you is safe to be around, and won’t be loud to distract the lessons during the class time. They only sleep for, at most, two hours a day, so they’ll most likely be awake during the class. And, cleaning their cages are super easy to do.
THE GUINEA PIG
Guinea pigs, you might think they’re just bigger hamsters, but they’re way better and have hearts of gold! They’ll fit perfectly into your classroom, and I’ll tell you why they are just so perfect. …show more content…

Their diet remains of high protein and and fiber, some fats, carbohydrates, and vitamins and minerals. So, if they kids ever want to feed the guinea pig, they can feed it bread, or for a treat, fruits. Or for an everyday snack, they can have hay or oats.
For their cages, they aren’t too expensive, and can cost up to twenty dollars! Also, their cages should be up to thirty to sixty centimeters long. As for their bedding, it should be changed weekly and should have activities in their cage, like tunnels and
