The report communicates the career action plan and its overview related to the position of general manager of the restaurant. It is divided into 3 sections. In first section, the report demonstrates the current situation of the career explaining the graduate and employability skills, and marketability analysis. The second section explains ideal situation of the career in comparison to the industry demands. This section explains the career SWOT analysis and career goals on short term and long term. The last section communicates the steps to success: work placement that demonstrates the activities that will be carried out to achieve the goals.
INTRODUCTION
Restaurant manager is a responsible position and career which has several opportunities to accomplish. The manager has to manage the whole restaurant staff, has to be flexible in approach and promote motivation and performance among them for better restaurant productivity and profits. Complete dedication is essential to reach highest position in management and for this the person has to settle certain goals and improve the skills, values and qualities with time and market demands (Brawer eta l., 2012).

The two different industries within the hospitality industry are the Hotel and Lodging industry and the Restaurant industry. Depending on specific occupation acquired, several different softwares can be learned. Skills such as administration, customer service, human resources, and accounting are imperative for this career as interacting with people is the majority of this job. I did not know what to do at first time. Then I searched on the Internet for those jobs for MBA grads, I found lots of jobs that suggested to me. Such as software development, information security analyst, financial manager, management analyst, operations research analyst, interpreter and translator and product manager. However, I do not like accounting, analysis and consulting things. I am an active person and do not want to the things with numbers every day. After I talked about professor- Dr.Perez, he gave me some advises, which one of the job could be considered as product management. And I have done some research on that job. It requires and job duties are all I think I am suitable for this kind of jobs, which is managing things and do the marketing things. That is interesting for me.
