All,
What a week! From Trick or Treat Street to One Homeless Night, our week was fairly successful. As a council, we should be proud of the work we have put in and results we have gotten out. From the 175+ kids who came through our doors on Monday night to the 49 successful blood donations to the $650 worth of products we raised, organized and donated to Synergy as apart of One Homeless Night. While our hard work has paid off up to now, we still have a lot to accomplish to continue making this a successful year. This next week is a vital part of that success as we take on week one of food drive and the Veterans Day breakfast and assembly.

Locally, Feeding the Valley Food Bank is preparing for their grass roots movement, Empty Bowl to help feed the hungry. Kids locally are being effected by hunger and lack of funds, so the day is a wonderful opportunity to eat all you can for a great deal. The benefits for Empty Bowl will go towards the food bank and their
I have met the goals outlined because of my continuous diligence and exceptional performance throughout the year. I have, in my humble opinion, exceeded the substantial qualifications for teaching, service and research as set forth by my Faculty Assignment Document. I am pleased to be part of the West Virginia University Extension Service and was honored to receive the 2013 WVSE4-HA and NAE4-HA North East awards for Urban Programming for an individual. As 2013 comes to a close, I am proud of my excellent accomplishments and quality contributions to 4-H and look forward to creating additional programming for youth in West Virginia.
Thank you again to all the volunteers you are our cornerstone of our organization and make it so this is all
A Positive of the experience I saw the amount of people who came to Aid the drive. This is because I thought many people would not answer the call to service the less fortunate shortly before Thanksgiving. I also felt a positive impact when I saw many fellow pallotti students at the food drive. This is because I did not expect student to be willing to serve the community and give up time in their morning to serve the less fortunate as well. Another experience I had was when I was labeling letters for seabury. This was because I saw the amount of people that this organization was aiding and who i was aiding through providing service.
To attain this vision, the Board of Directors identified five strategic goals. The Board of Directors will develop, execute, and be accountable for an Action Plan based on these five goals.
5. Plan to have my 2017 goals put together by 1/27, giving myself a whole extra week right now due to the kick off meeting next week. Sent to Keith on 2/3 and spoke quickly about them with him today.
I have realized through packing backpacks filled with school supplies, collecting non-perishable items, making food for Teacher Appreciation Day, organizing dinners for Thanksgiving, and holding clothes drives for children in the midst of winter creates experiences that can enrich people's lives. These endless situations make me want to invite my whole dorm and as many others as possible to make benevolent impacts on the Villanova campus and
One of the most meaningful achievements that I have recently participating in was dedicating six months of planning and time into a civil engagement project that have impacted families during the holiday season. With a group of individuals who are willing to make a difference in our community, the amount of efforts that were contributed into the task created a lifetime worth of memories in the lives of the mothers and children who came to the event. Throughout the event, it was rewarding to see smiles on the faces of the mothers while watching their children play Christmas-themed carnival games and enjoying the activities that were planned the team. Personally, I believe the event was a complete success considering the type of responses that
Besides academics, fine arts and sports in school, I have attained leading roles in different groups. This year, I am the Spirit Leader of Student Council encouraging monthly goals and themes and assisting in school events. From creating a student council with a group of peers three years ago we have had success in many events and have found new ways to spread spirit, gather important information and assist with financial groups. Recently, I stepped up to be the leader of the fundraising committee for our ...
This past weekend was Easter weekend. A weekend that we spent at the Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes convention held in Louisville, Ky. This was one of eight conventions held around the US and the Philippines.
In the process of creating my vision board in the beginning of the semester, I kept my goals in life as well as the semester’s in sight. This semester was an important clean slate for me, because I struggled with my grades at the beginning. I really wanted to lay out what were the main goals and expectations for not only schoolwork but in all aspects of my school involvement. Most of the aspirations and goals on my vision board were well thought out and ideas I intended to accomplish. Although all of the shown goals were not met, I am extremely content with how a majority of them turned out.
My goals for the coming year are to continue to improve all round and solidify my
I completed my first internship experience in Demokrasi Senior School. During this internship, I had an opportunity to observe the teacher called Mrs. Sayılı and her students. Although , I faced some difficulties, it was good teaching experience. First, I thought that teaching was an easy job. Then , I realized that it actually was not. So, it helped me to learn how to manage the class successfully and how to handle students misbehaviors easily.
I feel we succeed in trying to make a difference with the Salvation Army. We faced several tasks in this project. The first problem we had, was that half of my team left the class, leaving Issiah, Jasmine and myself to take on the project. Time became a major problem because we all worked part-time, so we had to cut some things from our original plan. We also didn’t have the money or the connections to fund our bake sale after the other students left. Also, finding a place to have the bake sale became a huge issue as time was running out, so we decided to ring bells instead. Even though we ran into some obstacles, the rewards far outweigh the
