Mission and vision statements communicate strategic goals. “To provide superior patient-centered care using appropriate and innovative evidence-based practices” is a mission better aligned with Amedisys new direction. Additionally, “Drive growth by delivering a full range of holistic health care services, while cultivating a culture of compassion” is a vision that could be used to inspire employees to achieve Amedisys’ purpose.
The last three years have marked historical growth for MyEyeDr. the company continues to expand into new territory going from just three states and fifty offices to eleven states and over three hundred offices. Since my first day of work in the company, many things have changed or evolved into new initiatives. Among those evolutions, we will find the mission and vision statements, included. Did you know that the CVS in “CVS Pharmacy” stands for “Convenience, Value, and Service?” CVS is a known pharmacy innovation company with a simple and also very clear purpose: helping everyone on their road to better health. Tracing back there history through there retail, pharmacy benefit management and retail clinic roots, today CVS health is a pharmacy innovation company that is reinventing pharmacy. Their company has drastically grown and improved over the years, but their commitment to their customers, clients and communities has never wavered. Centura Health has done a good job with their mission and vision statements. The mission statement is short and does not encompass all characteristics. The vision statement is outdated and needs to include more specifics on the technology and timeline. However, they have created their values with helps to reduce the missing aspects of the mission ad vision. These are more telling on why the organization is around, and what they are doing that is different than the other hospital systems in the area. Overall, with the help of the values, the mission and vision statements are useful tools for the employees and the community to understand the organizations priorities and performance goals.
So what is CVS? The full name is Consumer Value Store. It was founded on Merrimack Street in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1963; by the Goldstein brothers and Mark Stephen is as well as Ralph Hoagland. They are used to help their potential members, employees, or buyers understand their passion. It is of great importance that the mission statement is upheld or it becomes ineffective. These statements are written differently, but they are used for the common objective. The mission statement at Spring Hill College is a well written statement that uses effective style, has a clear focus, and can be interpreted by a varying audience.

According to its website, it states, “At JPMorgan Chase & Co, we want to be the best financial services company in the world. Because of our great heritage and excellent platform, we believe this is within our reach” is the company’s vision statement ("JPMorgan," 2013). This vision statement effectively communicates JPMorgan Chase & Co values, purpose, identity, and primary business goals.
The mission statement of the Optum organization is “to help people live healthier lives, and, to help make the health system work better for everyone” (Optum, n.d., “Our Mission,” para. 1). The focus at Optum is centered on five values integrity, compassion, relationships, innovation, and performance that are used to inspire the staff (UnitedHealth Group [UHG], 2017). The vision of the organization is to function cohesively, where each department or team embodies the mission statement and values in their goals and work practices.
Patients make up a huge part in achieving service excellence for the healthcare industry. My healthcare facility helps the patients redeem themselves and correct with sensitivity. The patients are my customers, and my healthcare facility must remember our mission and vision of giving spectacular healthcare to our customers who are our priority. Staffing Confidence by the market in Kmart is created by the achievements of its staff and management. With the turn-around strategy in place, new blood has been put into the top management structures. In any renewal there will be retrenchment as unprofitable stores are closed. This can be used as an opportunity to retain and move high performing staff to where they are needed and to get rid of non-performing staff. Anderson the chairperson of Kmart is well supported by Wall Street and the board of Directors. These new staff members enter the company with needed skills to address problems in certain areas that previously were poorly managed such as inventory control and merchandising. Store locations, layout and Performance Stores conveniently located away from competitors like Wal-mart and Target therefore less to compete for customers face-to-face. There are 250 non-performing stores who have already been identified as being more cost effective to close than continue with running costs. Expertise exists in-house for the planning of store layout and appearance to meet different customer segments. This concentration of effort will enable focus on key areas Technology Kmart has already invested in good retailing systems. The system can be use to control inventory, supplier payments, track customer buying and monitor income versus profit margins across all stores. Research and Development The planning department is well established and in cross-functional to provide various perspective. The planning department to ensure that strategies at all levels are executed can further use the access to past data and knowledge of changes in buying patterns. Financial Backing JP Morgan Chase has agreed to support Kmart to avert the current threat of closure due to bankruptcy.
One of the first steps in developing an organization is to develop the vision, mission and philosophy of the organization. Vision statements are used to define the goals of an organization. The mission statement of an organization is a brief statement that explains the purpose that an organization exists. The organizational philosophy outlines the set of values and beliefs that controls the operations of an organization (Marquis, 2011). UMC’s vision is “to be nationally recognized for excellence in patient care, medical education, and biomedical research.” Their mission statement is “to serve through healing, education, and discovery.” The philosophy of UMC is “to value integrity, excellence, compassion, innovation, collaboration and dedication.” (www.mc.uky.edu)
Another thing to consider is a statement made on CNNmoney.com in regards to Dollar Generals consistent store growth that they are only "cannibalizing sales at their other stores and eroding their profits"
The first challenge that we face is how to give the best service to our patients. We need to take care of our patients the best as we could, by doing it, they will be happy that they are cared for. Not only our clients, their families, relatives and friends will be satisfied of the care we give to them too.
