The principles of relationship building with children are to make clear key points as understanding is the key aim of most communication. A good way to achieve this is to get the children to repeat back to you they key points you have made. In addition to this being considerate and trying to take into account what situations children maybe experiencing outside of school that could cause them to become stressed to even act out. Also being able to listen to what children are saying and being respectful by promoting the type of behaviour that shows courtesy and respect. Showing you can remember things that are important to children can aid in building a positive relationship with them.

There are many ways which help build rapport with children and young people. One of them is to ensure to actively listen to what they are saying. There may be times were you unintentionally brush aside what a child is saying perhaps it is because you are preoccupied or tired, however, even this can be enough to make a child feel unvalued. Being responded to appropriately reinforces a child's self-esteem. This will in turn help build a trusting relationship. Talking with children, asking and answering questions also helps build their language skills. If pupils are distressed and need to talk about it, they will more likely open up to the person who has made them feel that they have a voice. This is why it is very important to build a respectful and trusting relationship with students, as it can have an impact on most areas of development.

Culture influences the appearance of a person and in this period of time, appearance is essentially everything. Culture makes people heavily judge others in the world because of their appearance, their race, and the languages they speak, which is part of their culture.
There are many different relationships that children develop as they grow, babies know that they cry to get attention from their parent for food or just a cuddle this is the beginning of learning to build relationships. Every child and family are different in how they believe relationships should be made and who children are allowed to talk to or be around so everyone is different when it comes to who they trust or get along with. In providing this children and young people will feel they are able to join in and it also provides positive experiences in variety of situations. Through these experiences, a person is able to develop the same cultural psychological views due to the social psychology of the area. If there was a change to a culture that added something new to the customs that were not included before, there would be a result of the new custom that would change the way the people of that culture would
I think that one of the greatest things that I can do for my kids is to take them seriously and listen to them. My five year old is constantly showing me everything that he learns and it’s very easy to tune him out sometimes, but I think its very important not to. It is important to listen because if you don’t give your kids enough attention they might try and seek it in a negative way. It is important to listen to your children when they have learned something new or want to tell you something that they are proud of. Children seek your approval, and that gives them confidence.
