In my personal opinion, I don't believe dogs should be brought to work with employess. I agree with the second article that it is not a good idea.
First of all, I work in a restaruant kitchen. If another employee brought their dog to work it could be a health code violation. For example, the dog might eat or lick some food or urinate on the floor. Also, like the second article stated, it can compromise with legal requirements to provide a safe environment for employees. A dog can bite an employee or customer or affect people's allergies.
In addition, I strongly agree that bringing dogs to work will distract pet owners and other employees from doing their job. In my life senario, other employees would be leaving the cook line or waiting their
Have you ever had the pleasure of sitting beside an animal on the Skytrain on your commute to work or stood in line beside one at the grocery store? Did you know that there's a difference between service dogs and emotional-support animals? These are one of the many struggles that individuals are faced when in public. The article "Pets Allowed" written by Patricia Marx gives you an inside look on the struggles people are faced with while also explaining the rules and laws regulating emotional-support animals that many aren't aware of. Many business owners are being taken advantage of by pet
Service dogs in school, what do you think of when you read these words? Bad occurrences of allergic reactions or people being scared out of their socks? Actually, these special dogs should be allowed in schools.
It does little to address the main problem: irresponsible owners. As animals, dog’s do not have the same moral compass as humans. It is an owner’s job to train, socialize, vaccinate, neuter, license, and provide all necessary living essentials for their pet. Establishing and enforcing leash laws is also important in ensuring the safety of others. Citizens should be educated in knowing dog body language, behaviors that are safe around a dog, and what to when a dog shows hostility. Children not old enough to understand these guidelines should require adult supervision. Taking these steps will help prevent more victims from experiencing the physical and emotional pain related to a
I think pets should not even be allowed to even be in a workplace due to the fact that some people are actually terrified of dogs and bring them into a workplace can cause a lot of problems. The only reason I feel this way is because of the fact that animals can be huge a distraction to the workers and customers, they will require a lot of attention like stopping to feed them, give them water, taking them to use the bathroom. Plus, not all dogs are good dogs, you have the nice dogs and the mean dogs, how can a person do their job if you see dogs running back and forth, barking, ETC. Another reason can be that some people suffer from allergies. You really can’t bring one if you work in a fast food restaurant. I fully understand if a person that has a physical disability.
Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based in love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns it, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can make them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day. Dog parks are a great place to take the dogs because it provides a space where they do not have to be with leash every time, while they can interact with other animals of their specie in a pet-friendly environment. Every city in the country should have at least one of these places, in order to help their inhabitants with their pets and because it is a good part of the life in community.
Some human beings take their work serious as well. Most of the time an aggressive dog will make your job harder.
Companies are required to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for their employees. Therefore, I don't think it is legally possible to allow employees to bring their dogs to work. There are simply too many variables that could go wrong. For instance, some employees might be allergic to dogs. Also, dogs can be very unsanitary and that is not acceptable at a workplace. There also may be owners who have not trained
In the essay Against Bringing Dogs to Work states "Even pets that are well-behaved at home may act unpredictably in new enviorment or around unfamiliar people", I agree with this because I've seen how dogs act around people they don't know; in most cases dogs bark at people and will end up biting the person. The company can't risk hurting an employee. This would be a downfall for the company because their risking people getting hurt. Allowing dogs in the office would stress people out and create an unhealthy enviorment.
Animals on a college campus can pose many problems, however most of those issues can be solved with a little time and effort from those that feel strongly about the issue. Some people say “having a pet is not fair to the other people that are in the building because they may be allergic to dogs or are afraid of them.” An easy way to fix this issue would be to have couple dorm buildings that are specifically pet friendly. Colleges all over the world are starting to welcome pets in their dorm rooms and have created living spaces for students who want to bring their pets. These schools argue that allowing students to take their dog or cat to college allows them to take a little piece of home with them which makes the transition much easier. Schools could also invest in dog parks outside and pet friendly areas that students can take their pets to use the bathroom, similar to the way apartment complexes are set up. This would eliminate any problems that people have with allergies, being scared, or simply just not wanting to deal with dogs in their dorm building. Also, for those that want to live in the pet friendly dorm buildings there should be an extra fee for having a pet which would pay for extra maintenance in those dorm buildings and the pet friendly areas
Dogs are friendly and protective animals that are obediant to thier owners. Dogs love attention and being pampered by thier owners. Dogs must be fed and taken outside to urinate or to poop. So, this why bringing an pet of any sort to work is most certainly a no for me.
To many families worldwide, your dog is not just an ordinary "pet". These are memebers of your family and they deserve the same love, care, affection, and protection as other members of the family. We want our loved one's to be with us each and everyday, and we want them to feel healthy and happy while in our care. Just as you feed your dog high quality food, and provide high quality health care, your dog’s safety is of equal importance.
It’s all about the owners and their egos not about the dogs. These dogs have rough lives because they’re often denied a normal life. This means they don’t get to have to social lives that most dogs have. They may become overwhelmed with all this attention.
For this assignment I decided to follow around my neighbor, Marie Yaeger. I decided to follow her around because I enjoy being around her. She’s funny, interesting, and very nice. She also volunteers for multiple animal rescues as a transport driver. Some of them include: Martha’s Mutt Movers, The Liberty Train, American Black and Tan Coonhound Rescue, and Hartman’s Haven Rescue.
The eating of companion animals is a taboo, but dog is not the only companion animal. I believe Foer stops at dogs to preserve the man’s best friend angle. Foer sites research that shows dogs have very similar mental capacities of a pig, cow, and chicken. Ethos kicks in due to the fact that researchers say dogs have mental capacities similar to other animals, yet people think it is immoral to kill dogs but moral to kill chickens, cows, or pigs; Furthermore, Foer states “if we let dogs breed on their own, the country would have a local meat s...
