I honestly love dogs myself, but I don't support Bring Your Dog to Work program. First of all, I strongly believe that not everyone will feel comfortable with this because they might be allergic or scared of the dog and not everyone likes animals.
Even though some people may agree to this we also have to think for those who don't like dogs. During work hours many are busy doing things for work, getting things done would be hard with a dog around. Dogs need to be fed and walked to handle their buissness every couple of hours, making it hard on people to concentrate and do their job. In the essay Against Bringing Dogs to Work states "Even pets that are well-behaved at home may act unpredictably in new enviorment or around unfamiliar people", I agree with this because I've seen how dogs act around people they don't know; in most cases dogs bark at people and will end up biting the person. The company can't risk hurting an employee. This would be a downfall for the company because their risking people getting hurt. Allowing dogs in the office would stress people out and create an unhealthy enviorment.

It's very stressful when your dog snaps and decides to throw a tantrum it makes it difficult to take them out and bring them around other dogs and people. It'll make it difficult for people to get things done. Also, many people are allergic and are scared of dogs. I know a friend who is allergic to dogs and starts getting a rash and runny nose when she's around any dog. For those who are afraid of dogs, it makes the dog anxious and distressed. Dogs may have bacteria and spread it through licking or kissing their loved ones, and some people might not like that. It'll cause people getting sick. Work is suppose to be a healthy enviorment where you can feel both comfortable and productive to work. So I strongly
Have you ever had the pleasure of sitting beside an animal on the Skytrain on your commute to work or stood in line beside one at the grocery store? Did you know that there's a difference between service dogs and emotional-support animals? These are one of the many struggles that individuals are faced when in public. The article "Pets Allowed" written by Patricia Marx gives you an inside look on the struggles people are faced with while also explaining the rules and laws regulating emotional-support animals that many aren't aware of. Many business owners are being taken advantage of by pet
The main reason why people should accept these dogs in school, is because the Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA, is an act that includes a part where dogs who are trained to help people with disabilities, are allowed into public spaces. School is considered a public space and the ADA considers service animals as important tools for people with disabilities.
Dogs should be trained to be around people and other pets at an early age. Training a dog to listen and obey is the most important factor (Marketwire). A dog can simply be bored and want to play aggressively. No matter the breed a dog can always be trained not to be violent (“CAUSES OF DOG”). An improperly trained dog can turn out to be mean and aggressive. Also allowing your dog to practice these behaviors will cause them to adapt to them. Exposing a dog to new things will help it become comfortable with them and recognize them. Dogs use their bark as an alarming system (Marketwire). Knowing when and why a dog is aggressive is a key factor for changing this
Everyday in the United States, there are pit bulls be banned, and euthanized.. There are approximately 937 cities in the united states that has some sort of a Breed Restriction legislation. To me this is absurd! People are getting these dogs and are trained to fight. It 's so wrong. Every time I hear about a dog fight or seeing a pit bull chained up makes me really upset and I 'm tired of it. How would those people feel if they were treated like that? I personally love Pit bulls, but some people don 't. I personally own a brindle pit bull named Boosie. I always say how a dog turns out depends on their owner. I had my dog ever since he was a puppy, and I raised him very well. He 's so sweet and loving. I don 't see how people would want to ban
Dogs are being taken for granted, and people need to realize the importance of why they have dogs as pets. Dogs are more than lazy animals, dumb creatures, or ways of showing off to others. Dogs don’t help with social status, rather they help with companionship, loyalty, trust, and a bodyguard. In my opinion, dogs don’t help determine how poor or wealthy a family is. Maybe people spend lots or little money on a dog, but that just depends on what type of people they are, not what type the dog is. Nothing more, nothing less.
I think pets should not even be allowed to even be in a workplace due to the fact that some people are actually terrified of dogs and bring them into a workplace can cause a lot of problems. The only reason I feel this way is because of the fact that animals can be huge a distraction to the workers and customers, they will require a lot of attention like stopping to feed them, give them water, taking them to use the bathroom. Plus, not all dogs are good dogs, you have the nice dogs and the mean dogs, how can a person do their job if you see dogs running back and forth, barking, ETC. Another reason can be that some people suffer from allergies. You really can’t bring one if you work in a fast food restaurant. I fully understand if a person that has a physical disability.
Are Pit Bulls deserving of being banned from the United States? Are breed specific laws effective? Is there a better way to handle dangerous dogs? Pit Bulls have many people who believe that all should be put down and that they are a dangerous breed. These people do not understand that there are many other ways to handle the situation, that having these laws can make things worse or not change anything, and that each dog is an individual. I believe that breed specific laws against dogs, Pit Bulls especially, are ineffective and I will explain why exactly these laws should be removed and how alternative routes would be better.
I stand here before you to speak about whether or not dangerous dog breeds, such as the Pit Bull, should be banned from being kept as pets in Australia. I strongly believe that dog breeds such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Bull Terriers are the nastiest type of dogs that anyone can even decide upon keeping as pets, and for any purpose whatsoever. These vile, vicious and violent animals are a huge threat, not only our community, but other animals too. They spare nobody, from children to adults! I am the victim of a traumatic dog attack, myself, and scars left on my body remind me of the terrifying incident every now and then. The existence of these types of dogs in Australia is definitely worth being illegalised.
Most cases of anxiety or depression can be triggered by specific things. In the article “Stressed out student? Get a dog (or cat, or rabbit)” written by Carli Teproff, a student explains that he was diagnosed with extreme depression after his girlfriend died suddenly. He said that he was getting used to being on his own, but was really struggling with the thought of losing her. Teproff writes, “Depression led to a short stay in the hospital, and after speaking with a therapist, he decided that a pet might help him get back on track” (Teproff 1). Some people are affected by a mental illness. These animals not only help those in need, but they can save lives too. There are disabilities that cause owners to have uncontrollable actions and can be extremely harmful to them and those around
Malcolm Gladwell says "these very breeds as a whole have proven their stability and good canine citizenry by becoming search and rescue dogs ,therapy dogs working in side hospitals ,herding dogs and family companions for years." I agree that we should not ban any dog breeds. dogs just need the right owner and the dog will be nice.dog are not born mean
Animals on a college campus can pose many problems, however most of those issues can be solved with a little time and effort from those that feel strongly about the issue. Some people say “having a pet is not fair to the other people that are in the building because they may be allergic to dogs or are afraid of them.” An easy way to fix this issue would be to have couple dorm buildings that are specifically pet friendly. Colleges all over the world are starting to welcome pets in their dorm rooms and have created living spaces for students who want to bring their pets. These schools argue that allowing students to take their dog or cat to college allows them to take a little piece of home with them which makes the transition much easier. Schools could also invest in dog parks outside and pet friendly areas that students can take their pets to use the bathroom, similar to the way apartment complexes are set up. This would eliminate any problems that people have with allergies, being scared, or simply just not wanting to deal with dogs in their dorm building. Also, for those that want to live in the pet friendly dorm buildings there should be an extra fee for having a pet which would pay for extra maintenance in those dorm buildings and the pet friendly areas
Dogs are very common in the world we know today. Many households have one or more. Dogs are trained to be pets. Not only trained to be pets, dogs are also trained for work. Dogs are getting used more and more in our work environment. House dogs can also be considered a working dog depending on why the dog is there. There are many jobs for dogs. Dogs make a big impact on our working and social lives.
Dogs are not pets to most of us, more so, they are family. But, just like family, they should be kept separate from the work environment. Some people may think bringing your dog to work would be a job perk, but it brings more problems than relief. There would have to be more maintenance needed in the work facilities, other employees or customers may feel unsafe, and employees would have to watch their dog while on the job.
With all sides of the argument considered I believe that dogs should not be allowed in the workplace. Dogs are unsanitary and many people are afraid of them. They may cause distractions and ultimately do more harm than good. Furthermore, when the dogs were at work with their owners, they would likely have no place to be kept and if they did it would likely be unsanitary. When their owner went to the restroom, to get food, or talk to a coworker, the dogs would be tied up, left alone, or taken with, all options of which do not sound very appealing.
Having a dog as a pet help the owner stay connected with the social life. The owner needs to bring their pet go out for exercise, take the pet to visit the pet groomer and also having the veterinary checkups for their pet. All of these need the owner to communicate with others and involved themselves in the social activities. [1] Besides that, people can get more friends with those who having the same habit which is taking their pet go out for some exercise and activities.
