Dogs are friendly and protective animals that are obediant to thier owners. Dogs love attention and being pampered by thier owners. Dogs must be fed and taken outside to urinate or to poop. So, this why bringing an pet of any sort to work is most certainly a no for me. In the passage [Against Bringing Dogs to Work] it states,"not everyone likes dogs or is comfortable around them". If everyone is not comfortable around dogs they should not be allowed to be in the facality. People could be highly allergic to dogs which could cause them to go to the emergency room. Dogs likes licking and sniffing people and could lash out if they feel like someone is a threat, even if they are not. In a workplace it should be quite and noise should be
Have you ever had the pleasure of sitting beside an animal on the Skytrain on your commute to work or stood in line beside one at the grocery store? Did you know that there's a difference between service dogs and emotional-support animals? These are one of the many struggles that individuals are faced when in public. The article "Pets Allowed" written by Patricia Marx gives you an inside look on the struggles people are faced with while also explaining the rules and laws regulating emotional-support animals that many aren't aware of. Many business owners are being taken advantage of by pet
What words come to mind when one hears the words “pit bull?” How about aggressive, violent, or dangerous? In many cases, this isn’t actually true. Because of the negative media attention for attacks on humans and other dogs that pit bull breeds receive, many Americans place a stigma on pit bulls, tagging them as dangerous and vicious. This stigma typically applies to all pit bulls, not just the ones that are actually dangerous. To remedy the issue of dangerous dogs attacking other beings, the legislative act known as breed-specific legislation is being debated throughout the United States. Gary J. Patronek, a veterinary doctor, defines breed-specific legislation as a law than “bans, restricts, or imposes conditions on ownership of specific breeds or dogs presumed to pose greater risk of biting people” (788). Breed-specific legislation is commonly debated in communities that have recently experienced a dog-bite related injury or fatality (Patronek, Slater, and Marder 788). However, this law would ban all dogs of the pit bull breed or any related dog based solely on their breed, rather than disposition. Therefore, breed-specific legislation should not be enacted throughout the United States because is biased against pit bulls and is ineffective in reducing dog-bite attacks by ignoring other aggressive dog breeds.
The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 was put in place to make the public feel protected from dangerous dogs. The act was put in place due to the figures of dog attacks been on the rise. The act came into force on the twelfth of August 1991 and relates to dogs that are bred for fighting.
The main reason why people should accept these dogs in school, is because the Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA, is an act that includes a part where dogs who are trained to help people with disabilities, are allowed into public spaces. School is considered a public space and the ADA considers service animals as important tools for people with disabilities.
Dogs have impacted the lives of 44% of American families and homes. People use dogs for much more than just a family friend. Dogs are used for special needs, assisting police, and hunting and tracking. Dogs should be appreciated and never taught to fight or be neglected. Dog fighting is unethical because man’s best friend shouldn’t have to fight for their lives.
Pets can have real jobs like people. Dogs-rescuers save lives together with people. For instance, when people get in appalling avalanches courageous dogs-rescuers help to find them. Also, some breeds of dogs, e.g. sheep dog, badger-dog, labrador, spaniel, and so on, serve at customs. More than that, they can find illegal things like drugs, dangerous weapons, or explosive stuff. What’s more, they help to control order and assist in avoiding terrible acts of terrorism. Some people literally can't live without pets. For example, blind people need guide-dogs to move around their homes. The connection between such masters and their pets becomes really strong and truly close and a person gets pet-dependent in this case. Enthusiastic owners devote their life to pets. They try to make the best for them and like to take part in exhibitions. Pet's clothes, food, houses, brushes take on special value for
I think pets should not even be allowed to even be in a workplace due to the fact that some people are actually terrified of dogs and bring them into a workplace can cause a lot of problems. The only reason I feel this way is because of the fact that animals can be huge a distraction to the workers and customers, they will require a lot of attention like stopping to feed them, give them water, taking them to use the bathroom. Plus, not all dogs are good dogs, you have the nice dogs and the mean dogs, how can a person do their job if you see dogs running back and forth, barking, ETC. Another reason can be that some people suffer from allergies. You really can’t bring one if you work in a fast food restaurant. I fully understand if a person that has a physical disability.
There is probably nothing more for pet lovers than taking their quadruped to work with them. The latest researches have proven that taking pets to workplace has resulted in lot happier and less stressed environment in the job. Scientists found that people who take their dogs to work reported lower stress throughout the day than employees without dogs or those who had dogs but didn’t take them to work (International Journal of Workplace Health Management). Many previous studies have linked the presence of pets with less stress and better health. For example, in hospitals and nursing homes, animals have contributed to faster recovery from surgery, controlling blood pressure and depression levels of patients.
Some human beings take their work serious as well. Most of the time an aggressive dog will make your job harder.

One is that just because their dog is nice towards other people and dogs does not mean the feelings reciprocate from other people and dogs. I do not know about you, but when I am walking my two dogs on leashes I would be terrified if I saw someone else’s dog, off leash, running up on my two. I would definitely expect my younger dog to become protective over herself and I and could end up injuring the other dog, which would not end well for me or the other dog owner. The other thing dog owners could overlook when their dog is off leash is that their dog, friendly or not, could disrupt families with small children or non-doggy people while they are on a walk, for example, I do not think a mother of two little children would like a big German Shepard running up on them, even if the dog is friendly.
Animals on a college campus can pose many problems, however most of those issues can be solved with a little time and effort from those that feel strongly about the issue. Some people say “having a pet is not fair to the other people that are in the building because they may be allergic to dogs or are afraid of them.” An easy way to fix this issue would be to have couple dorm buildings that are specifically pet friendly. Colleges all over the world are starting to welcome pets in their dorm rooms and have created living spaces for students who want to bring their pets. These schools argue that allowing students to take their dog or cat to college allows them to take a little piece of home with them which makes the transition much easier. Schools could also invest in dog parks outside and pet friendly areas that students can take their pets to use the bathroom, similar to the way apartment complexes are set up. This would eliminate any problems that people have with allergies, being scared, or simply just not wanting to deal with dogs in their dorm building. Also, for those that want to live in the pet friendly dorm buildings there should be an extra fee for having a pet which would pay for extra maintenance in those dorm buildings and the pet friendly areas
Dogs are very common in the world we know today. Many households have one or more. Dogs are trained to be pets. Not only trained to be pets, dogs are also trained for work. Dogs are getting used more and more in our work environment. House dogs can also be considered a working dog depending on why the dog is there. There are many jobs for dogs. Dogs make a big impact on our working and social lives.
Have you ever felt like why have a classroom pet? Besides to “help with learning” I think that there shouldn't be classroom pets because all they can do is distract kids maybe they can help with your learning but at the cost of what? I think that there should not be classroom pets because they can cause problems and could be bad for the pets health.
The first reason why I think that we should not have pets in school is because it is bad for the animals. For intense, In the article, “Leave Animals out of the Classroom”, it says, “Classroom pets are often neglected during school breaks and holidays. Many suffer from missed meals, unsanitary living conditions and lack of climate control.” As a result, this is bad for the animals because most cannot go without food or water for weeks. That means that they could die from starvation or dehydration. In addition, some pets need to be in certain temperatures to survive. If there is nobody there to keep the temperature at a comfortable level, then the pet could overheat or get too cold. The article also states, “Animal’s health can also be compromised when caregivers fail to address their nutritional needs. Inadequate veterinary care also leads to failed
