Pets. You might think that it would be a good, fun idea to have them in class, but, is it really that good of an idea? While some experts say that having pets in school is helpful, some argue, however, that it is not such a good thing. I think that we should not have pets in school because it is bad for the animals, and has bad effects on students.
The first reason why I think that we should not have pets in school is because it is bad for the animals. For intense, In the article, “Leave Animals out of the Classroom”, it says, “Classroom pets are often neglected during school breaks and holidays. Many suffer from missed meals, unsanitary living conditions and lack of climate control.” As a result, this is bad for the animals because most cannot go without food or water for weeks. That means that they could die from starvation or dehydration. In addition, some pets need to be in certain temperatures to survive. If there is nobody there to keep the temperature at a comfortable level, then the pet could overheat or get too cold. The article also states, “Animal’s health can also be compromised when caregivers fail to address their nutritional needs. Inadequate veterinary care also leads to failed

health of classroom pets.” The first reason why this is bad for the animals is because if they are not getting the proper nutrition that they need then they could become very weak, not have much strength, or have as strong of bones.
Also, if they are not getting proper
veterinary care, the animal might have a deadly disease that no one knows about. In the same article, it also states, “Going from five days of noise to two days of isolation is particularly traumatic and confusing.” This is also bad for the animal because it could confuse them greatly or it could hurt their ears from the constant on and off again noise. That was the first reason why we should not have pets in school. The second reason why I think that we should not have pets in school is because it has bad effects on students. To illustrate, in the article, “ Leave Animals out opf the Classroom” it states, “Students with asthma or allegories can be adversely affected by the presence of an animal in the classroom.” This is bad for the students’ health because some kids’ allergies can get very bad if they are near an animal that they are allergic to. Kids with allergies can get very sick or could be hospitalized just from being in the same room as the animal. According to the article, “What’s The Problem With Classroom Pets” it says, “ Animals such as guinea pigs, sugar gliders, spiders, and snakes can also easily nip of bite students threatened, frustrated, or even hungry.” This is not good because the animals could have diseases or may be venomous, such as, snakes and spiders. They could also just hurt a student badly. From the website, www.petsintheclassroom.org, it says that classroom pets could carry diseases, as I have somewhat mentioned before. If the animal has a disease, then it could get into student’s immune system or could possibly cause a condition that the student could end up with. That was the final reason why we should not have pets in school. In conclusion, having pets in school is not a good idea because it is bad for the animals, and has bad effects on students. These reasons are why I think that we should not have pets in school. So, after hearing these reasons, will you do something to keep pets out of school, or will you leave students to be in danger or in harm?
“As the birthrate dropped, pets came to take the place of children in some families.” I think this means that pets are basically replacing children in some people's lives. In his article, Bilger says that a man refused to come back from Europe when his son died of a brain tumor, but he had a vet flown in when his dog got cancer. He cared more about his dog than his child.
The main reason why people should accept these dogs in school, is because the Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA, is an act that includes a part where dogs who are trained to help people with disabilities, are allowed into public spaces. School is considered a public space and the ADA considers service animals as important tools for people with disabilities.
Throughout the world, wild cats, reptiles and primates live peacefully in their natural habitats. Despite this, every year more and more of these exotic animals are becoming domestic pets. Keeping exotic animals as pets is unsafe and should therefore be made illegal. They pose a risk of injury, disease and invasion of the natural environment. Some people believe that keeping a pet does not pose a risk if properly kept and trained.
C.: Pets help reduce loneliness, lower stress, which both can lead to mental health issues, and help people become physically and socially active. II. :A pet can reduce loneliness, which can then reduce the risk of evolving certain mental health issues. A. 1.: ¨In part, interactions with pets alter the tendency of those with mental problems to focus on themselves.
I think pets should not even be allowed to even be in a workplace due to the fact that some people are actually terrified of dogs and bring them into a workplace can cause a lot of problems. The only reason I feel this way is because of the fact that animals can be huge a distraction to the workers and customers, they will require a lot of attention like stopping to feed them, give them water, taking them to use the bathroom. Plus, not all dogs are good dogs, you have the nice dogs and the mean dogs, how can a person do their job if you see dogs running back and forth, barking, ETC. Another reason can be that some people suffer from allergies. You really can’t bring one if you work in a fast food restaurant. I fully understand if a person that has a physical disability.

Evidence shown that each year in the U.S, an estimated of 20 million animals are abused for cruel, archaic teaching exercises. There is really no reason for abusing an animal
Keeping animals locked in cages, bored and cramped up in such a small space is an awful sight to show the children. It creates an image in the little minds of children that animals are to be treated like they don’t matter. They say Zoos are a place where children can learn about the wild, exotic animals, but in reality it doesn't teach them anything only that they are meant to be caged up, which is wrong. Also, it is really painful to see the animals bored and lonely, so why should people keep letting them do this to these beautiful creatures. Animal captivity for entertainment should end to let them go to their rightful home.

Exotic animals kill and injure people each year, and are very dangerous in the wrong conditions. The animals are kept in housing that doesn’t suit them, and are kept away from the other animals in its family. They aren’t fed their natural foods, don’t have proper sleeping conditions, and don’t have enough space. Exotic animals are animals that most people think shouldn't be kept because of a few reasons: they are dangerous, they need proper housing, and they aren’t very expensive to get, but are expensive to keep.
If society could imagine a place where students do not think school is a prison, they would notice students actually want to attend school every day. The answer to this problem is simply a dog in schools. Therapy dogs must be allowed in high schools to make school a better place for students and teachers. In high schools around the country, there has been two major problems, a growth of teenage suicides, and students skipping class, which results in dropping grades. On the other hand, parents and teachers fear too many students might have allergies to dogs, but to avoid that issue, the therapy dog will be a breed of dog like a goldendoodle that is non-allergenic. The solution to these problems would be to allow a therapy dog to enter schools.
As stressful as school is for college students, most agree that they should be allowed to have pets in their dorm rooms. When the argument comes up that pets should be allowed in the dorm room, that does not mean that students only want to be able to have a pet fish. Most colleges now only allow aquatic animals such as fish and turtles and they even have to be in a certain size aquarium tank. Many would agree that when they come back from a very stressful, hard working day at school they would like to be able to cuddle up next to their pup. It is a known fact that dogs, and other furry pets, relieve stress and anxiety, they’re fun, they brighten people’s mood, and they also teach responsibility. So the question here is, should pets be allowed
Over 71 million American households (62%) have a pet, and most people think of their pets as members of the family. Some research studies have found that people who have a pet have healthier hearts, stay home sick less often, make fewer visits to the doctor, get more exercise, and are less depressed. Pets may also have a significant impact on allergies, asthma, social support, and social interactions with other people (Casciotti) .
Pets are all over the world, and a part of many people's everyday lives. After seeing my grandmas dog close to death about a week ago, it reminded me of how impacted I was when I lost a pet in the past. That’s when I realized that pets leave a very impactful mark on other people's lives. Then, I remembered not everyone has had pets in their lives due to various reasons like allergies and seeing them as dangerous. This led me to my research question; Should kids have pets in their lives? Weighing the options, I can see both sides to the question at hand. I was a child who grew up with pets by my side, but I also had been greatly harmed by one. When I was just a preschooler, I was critically bit by my own dog in the face, just inches away from a fatal vein in my neck. I still have the scar to this day, yet I still surround myself with animals everyday.
