The latest researches have proven that taking pets to workplace has resulted in lot happier and less stressed environment in the job. Scientists found that people who take their dogs to work reported lower stress throughout the day than employees without dogs or those who had dogs but didn’t take them to work (International Journal of Workplace Health Management). Many previous studies have linked the presence of pets with less stress and better health. For example, in hospitals and nursing homes, animals have contributed to faster recovery from surgery, controlling blood pressure and depression levels of patients.

The reason why I feel like it’s the right decision to make is because not all people like animals. Normally, people who don’t like animals don’t like to be around them, I know I like animals but I don’t like dogs jumping on me, and I sure don’t like having dog hair all on me and some other people may feel the same way as I do. I believe that allowing dogs to be taken to the workplace by their owners could be a very good way to boost productivity. The owners would be less stressed because they wouldn't have to worry about their dogs at home. Also, they could want to stay later and get more work done; because, they don't have to go home to walk the dog.

I honestly love dogs myself, but I don't support Bring Your Dog to Work program. First of all, I strongly believe that not everyone will feel comfortable with this because they might be allergic or scared of the dog and not everyone likes animals. Even though some people may agree to this we also have to think for those who don't like dogs. During work hours many are busy doing things for work, getting things done would be hard with a dog around. Dogs need to be fed and walked to handle their buissness every couple of hours, making it hard on people to concentrate and do their job.

When a small business is trying to become larger, having employees who are healthy and stress free is important. Losing a member of an already small number due to being ill is not the way to succeed. Working in an environment that is happy and productive is the perfect place to work, regardless of what the job is.
Sure, having your dog at work may help some employee's cope with stress, However, it may have an even bigger toll on others, a negative one. Finally, dog's are high matineance. They have to be let outside,fed,watered, and played with throughout the day. Bringing them to work would require workers to take more breaks then those without dog's.
Is bringing your dog to work necessarily a good idea? There are many pros and cons to having an animal in the workplace. I can clearly see the advantages and disadvantages in this scenerio. Bringing an animal, such as a dog into the workplace is unpredictable, as well as hazerdous for some people, and maybe even a psychological distress to others. In my opinion, there are just too many likely problems and distractions with the Bring Your Dog to Work Program.

In the hectic and fast-paced world we live in today, pets are actually saving our lives. Pets provide an excuse to be active, dogs live an active lifestyle, wanting to play and run around outside. By making us more active and improving our health, dogs often provide a good workout! I strongly agree with the researchers about empoyees feeling less stress and anxiety. I aslo, can see where some coworkers would be bothered by the Bring Your Dog to work program. I think if they allow a transition room for the dogs that might not be as well as behaved as others that might help ease the coworkers with negative views.

An organization may spend millions of dollars to create a pleasant work environment for its employees. However, in spite of these expenditures, if an employee believes that his or her job that assigned to them is lousy and feel unsatisfactory, that employee will behave accordingly.
