In the workplace, it can be a challenge to juggle several different responsibilities that you may have to complete within a certain time period. Time management is an essential quality for a person to have wherever they work. "Whatever your reasons for doing what you do, better time management at work means you continually strive to improve your effectiveness and your efficiency," (Tom Wilson, 2017) In otherwords, time management improves an individual's overall work ethic and helps them to succeed. In order to gain a greater understanding of the importance of time management in the workplace and improve my skills of time management, I am inserting myself into one of the scenarios that was given to me and state what I would do in that situation. …show more content…
I believe that, even though the day would stay the same, I would use my time by attempting to figure out how the issue started. I would not immediately panic; rather, I would stay calm and try to find a solution. I would look at the smaller details of the day to gain a greater understanding of what exactly is causing the day to repeat itself. When overviewing the tiniest details of that particular day, it would give me a greater perspective and knowledge of what exactly is happening. However, even though I'd want to figure out what is causing the repeat of the day, I would still want to enjoy the day that keeps on occurring. I would want to go on a morning run by Concordia and watch the lake while the sun rises. I would spend time with my loved ones and enjoy myself thoroughly as well. I would attempt to fix other people's unethical situations, as long as I know the person. For example, if I oversee a friend making an unwise choice, I would try and protect them by resolving their issue. Although I'd be more than willing to help a friend, I would not go out of my way to help every single person, unless it was life threatening or made a major impact on the world as a whole. Even though I would desire to assist every single person, it would not be beneficial for me because it would make a repeated day incredibly stressful every day. In summary, this scenario has allowed me to practice decision making skills that may impact the entirety of my
“We are in a remote country house, toward evening, a cold blizzard rages.” [Cite] The short, simple, and beautifully written murder mystery play The Blizzard, written by David Ives, begins in a somewhat cliché state. Inside the secluded house in a forest, with the predictably unfavorable weather outside, and no access to technology primarily no external communications. The starting leads to a feeling of unremarkability, that soon the play may become another no name story that hardly leaves a dent in your memory. This dreary beginning in part fits into the themes of the play and in some ways better compliments the more creative middle and end. Ultimately, The Blizzard is a meta play primarily referential to murder mysteries on a whole rather

We could go back to the past. I could lose this easy job I have. Just talking and using a shovel, a. hoe, a broom that takes everything away. All my daughter does is worry. She touches my hand and we eat snow cones from a roadside vendor in the shade.
While searching the South Dakota Art Museum for potential paintings to use for this assignment, I found various paintings that appeared to interest me. However, Harvey Dunn’s “After the Blizzard” really intrigued me and grabbed my attention. This partially because of the recent snow that fell around the area. But the main reason it sparked my interest is due to my experiences I have received from taking snowmobiling trips to Centennial, Wyoming. When my friends and I take this trip, I enjoy comparing the landscape from the bottom of the mountain, to high elevations. I would say this painting definitely reminds me of some of the cabins and houses that are at high elevations on the mountain.

As I look back on my life, I can see how a lot of certain events have shaped my life. Where it They helped me become more independent, have some of the greatest accomplishments, and understand the importance of living your own life.
In the workplace, time management is an important factor in everyone’s day-to-day work. If a person’s time is well managed, it is possible to achieve a greater amount in a shorter space of time. How effectively people manage their time has a major influence on aspects of their working lives and their personal lives. Effective time management can have a hugely positive effect on a person, it can lead to a focused and disciplined mentality, giving a higher level of productivity, greater efficiency and an all round positive attitude in life. This benefits the individual, their team, the company they work for and also their friends and family. An example of this is an employee who prioritises their jobs at the start of the day; this gives them a structured day and ensures they have time to complete all of the important jobs. ...lead to stress-another thing that is so common. If one chose to live simpler lifestyles and slow down their lives a bit and relax rather than overwhelming themselves with so much, maybe they would be able to enjoy their lives more. Managing time will lead to extra time to go out and create memories, and focus on living and being happy. When one departs from this world, they will think of their past and recall memories and become content with they fact that they did not let their time slip away being overwhelmed and completely trapped in the world while working their lives away to simply satisfy their materialistic needs. One will look back and remember that they lived a life of meaning, a true everlasting joy to know that they lived a great life.

Time management is the control of an individuals actions for the purpose of improving efficiency. It involves setting goals and requires, establishing priorities, planning and scheduling steps needed to obtain these goals. The concept of time can be very hard to understand. It is a force that waits for no one. Individuals that do not know the importance of time end up wasting it or spend it doing nothing, especially people with mental health or substance abuse disorders.
The problem of time management can be said to be universal not only affecting students but also other people in careers. This problem is seen to transition from a person’s life from different cadres of his or her engagement specifically from home, school and at work. It is also a problem that is internal and not external.
Time management is not only important to supervisors or managers, but it is involved in everyone’s life. From the day a person is born to the day a person leaves the earth, there is a schedule for everything. Planning and scheduling items help to improve our desired goals rather it is for day-to-day tasks or long term tasks. In the business or corporate world, demands such as production numbers must be met by a specific deadline. Although there are other skills required to accomplish these goals, time management is the key to achieving these goals with less ripples.
There are many different parts to time management, such as procrastination, strategy, organization, expectations and being prepared. All of them contribute equally in many ways. All of the things that we have spoken about in this paper are highly recommended. The best thing to do when it comes to time management is to set a strategy, become organized and do your best to avoid procrastination. When you manage your time make sure you include the following; studying, sleeping, eating, relaxing and other necessary things. No matter what our circumstances are, we can all use some time management skills in our lives.
Learn to manage your time wisely. Plan ahead! Time management can help you stay calm and focused regardless of the current situation you are in.
Time management is not a new idea and many methods have been proposed regarding the best way to handle time management issues for business students. These suggestions can often be quite simple, such as writing down lists of things to do in order to support people in making good use of their time for work or recreational purposes. When time pressures are high, planning tasks and actions does not always lead to the completion of the work. It is in recognition of this that time management training programs have been designed, aiming to give an insight into the time required for activities, ways to make time plans, and increasing the efficiency of people by teaching them how to plan properly, how to prioritize tasks, and how to handle unexpected tasks. This is increasingly easy, particularly for students, as “books, articles, and time management training programs that were initially developed for managers have been made available to everyone”.(Claessens, Brigitte J.C. 2004).
