In the triangle, why do planes and ships seem to vanish? The area known as the Bermuda Triangle, covers roughly 500,000 square miles of ocean off the southeastern tip of Florida (History.com). Supernatural theories are the causes of the strange activity in the Bermuda Triangle. With science one is able to determine the cause of the activity in this area. The Bermuda Triangle is not an enigma the strange occurrences can indeed be explained by science. The Bermuda Triangle is the world’s heaviest traveled area. For centuries, boats and planes have been known to vanish from this area without any trace. These disappearances under mysterious circumstances in the Bermuda Triangle, earned the Triangle the nickname, “The Devil’s Triangle” (History.com).The …show more content…
The Bermuda Triangle incidents are due to the cause of some sort of extra- terrestrial activity. Atlantis the lost city, the Atlantis story tells about a rock formation underwater on the ocean floor that is known as the Bimini Road. The rocks are located near the coast of the Bimini Islands in the Bahamas. People had predicted that the “Lost City of Atlantis” would be discovered and the road found eventually. Researchers had found stone along with some other rock formations in this region, but then referred to them as naturally occurring (Bermuda Triangle-Supernatural Explanation.). The reason, experts were never able to find anything other than natural occurring formations, is because there is no such thing as Atlantis. The “Lost City of Atlantis” was just something they talked about in movies and is nothing more than a myth. Unidentified Flying Objects or UFO’s were described by Christopher Columbus, when he explained he had an encounter with strange lights dancing along the sky in the area referred to as the …show more content…
Methane Gas which has been trapped under the sea floor can possibly erupt, resulting in a lower density of water and causing the ships to sink to the ocean floor. Planes that fly over can even catch on fire, causing mass destruction with such an eruption (“Top Theories to Explain the Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle.”). Electric Fog is a grayish cloud of electromagnetic fields that formed above the ocean. This fog can just appear out of nowhere and completely surround the aircraft or boats patrolling the area. This fog causes the instruments and all the electronic systems to go crazy, causing the ship or plane to vanish without any trace of evidence.(“Electronic Fog- A Hutchinson Effect?”) In 1979, John Hutchison proved that if electromagnetic fields of different wavelengths interfere with each other, then eventually at some point there will be some sort of strange occurrences happening. Water swirls in a cup, certain objects like metal and wood can start rising off the floor of the vessel and float around in midair; some objects could even possibly take off at ridiculous velocities. John has demonstrated the weird encounters of various objects more than over 750 times and proved that due to interference of such electromagnetic fields, odd stuff will indeed happen (“Electronic Fog- A Hutchinson Effect?”). Sargasso Sea is a large patch of ocean named after
On March 13, 1997, an inexplicable phenomenon took place in the sky over Phoenix, Arizona. Thousands of people witnessed the occurrence, and a few dozen even caught it on camera. The event was so astonishing that the most world-renowned news source, CNN, broadcast it on national television. Disappearing, the mind-boggling event left thousands, or even millions, in disbelief at what they had just witnessed. What was it? The world may never know.
The disappearance of Flight 19 has been the longest standing mystery in aviation due to the fact that no sign
Ever since the idea of Atlantis being a city explorers and scientists have looked for Atlantis. One idea is that the Mid-Atlantic Ridge was caused by the sinking of Atlantis. But this is disproved because if Atlantis did sink in the Atlantic Ocean then it would not have created a ridge or ridge like area. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge is caused by Divergent tectonic plates in the ocean which creates the ridge. The sinking of Atlantis could not have done this. Not only is this impossible but the descriptions given by Plato would also be off. The Mid-Atlantic ridge is a mountain like area going from north to south for a few thousands of miles; Plato described Atlantis a circular island that was maybe one hundred miles in diameter. Therefore this theory does not work.
The Bermuda Triangle is best known for its strange phenomenon and unexplained disappearances. It is located off the west coast of Florida. As stated in the article “Bermuda Triangle: Where Facts Disappear” written by Benjamin Radford, a deputy editor of the scientific magazine Skeptical Inquirer, the points of the triangle are located in Miami, Florida, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda Island (qtd. in NOAA). The Bermuda Triangle covers roughly 500,000 square miles of the deep Atlantic Ocean (Radford “Bermuda Triangle: Where Facts Disappear”). This great span of ocean and its abnormal phenomenon is often credited for the disappearances of boats, planes, and their crewmembers.
This was allowing large waves to build. Unfortunately, the ship was no longer protected by land.
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is the cause of many unexplained disappearances that happened within its boundary. One of the many mysteries of the triangle is Flight 19. Five Avenger planes vanished without even a single trace. What happened to Flight 19, did aliens actually abduct the planes? Or is there another explanation as to how they disappeared?
“‘The ‘Bermuda Triangle’, or ‘Devil’s Triangle’, is a mythical geographic area’, states a fact sheet issued by the U.S. Coast Guard” (Gaffron 17). One of the most influential groups in the United States believes that the Bermuda Triangle is only a myth. “Most rational explanations for the incidents in the Bermuda Triangle, including the explanations given by the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, include human error and environmental effects” (Obringer). The U.S. Navy has lost quite a few ships in the Bermuda Triangle region and believe that the reason behind those disappearances involved either human or technical difficulties. “Plane ditchings or explosions in flight may result from many causes; lack of visible evidence being explained by the truism that ‘It’s a big ocean’” (Berlitz 6) The reports from the people that actually lost lives believe in that something bad but normal happened which is a sound explanation for the
“In total, six airplanes and 27 men appear to have vanished” (How). On December 5th of 1945, five U.S. Navy bombers went missing without a trace of why. Later a rescue plane was sent to search for the plane and the survivors, but those planes disappeared as well. That incident is one of the most famous and well known disappearances in the area (How). The Bermuda triangle is an area in the Atlantic Ocean which many people believe mysterious disappearances have taken place. It reaches Puerto Rico, Florida, and Bermuda in a triangle shape that covers approximately 500,000 square miles (History). The mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda triangle are myths as evidenced by people who travel the area safely every day, there is no scientific proof of the mysteries, and there are scientific reasons why people have disappeared.
The mystery of The Bermuda Triangle has proven time and time again to be one of the world’s most bewildering phenomenons, and has kept scholars and conspiracists alike scratching their heads. It has defied all aspects of logic, science, likelihood, and probability. According to a late September, 2017 article by Holly Christodoulou, a writer for “The Sun”, “The Bermuda Triangle seems to have laid claim to at least 1000 lives via the mysterious disappearances of massive man-made vessels such as planes, boats, and cargo ships that remain unfound to this very day” (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/2021520/bermuda-triangle-ships-planes-conspiracy-theories/).
You might know that the Bermuda Triangle is a legendary place where numerous disappearances have occurred, but how much do you really know about it? Some people don’t believe in such a place, but some do. Research has been conducted to try and figure out what could possibly be happening here, but with no hard evidence. The mysterious Bermuda Triangle may be more than just a myth though; the Bermuda triangle has a long history with disappearances, few people live through it to tell the tale, and possible theories have been made over the years; leaving scientists questioning this strange phenomenon.
Electronic Fog will be the first theory discussed in this paper. Electronic fog is a theory first publicized by Bruce Gernon, and several others have claimed to witness the fog, as they call it. Generally, it is described a gray fog which causes instruments to go crazy, pilots and passengers become dizzy or unconscious, and in some cases, time warps. This is the main theory analyzed in the book Gernon co-authored with MacGregor, and in it, he recounts the descriptions of the fog as given by different people. He recounts that he had flown through a tunnel in a strange cloud that had formed a large ring around his plane, and as he exited, he felt disoriented, so he asked his father who was a good navigator to check their position. Then he saw that all the instruments were malfunctioning and the compass was slowly rotating. They exited the tunnel into a dark fog, and flew through it until it dissipated while they were over Miami Beach . He claims that apart from the instrument malfunction, and the strange doughnut cloud, the flight would have ...

In conclusion the bermuda triangle is an imaginary triangle with a deadly reputation. No explanation has been proven correct and the mystery is still to be solved. After countless events of paranomal activity being reported, it is difficult to believe that the triangle is a safe place with nothing peculiar about it, even though most researchers believe differently. The sense of mystery, publicized occurances of paranormal activity, and attention from scientists and researchers has continued to fuel interest on the matter.
The series of these incidents started centuries ago and in continued since then. More than 1000 ships and planes had vanished in the marred area over the past five centuries and all the incidents happened with no apparent mistake of human beings, or any kind of instrumental malfunctioning or even any kind of natural disaster. It 's a strange thing that all the ships and other vehicles, including air craft’s got vanished without any issue in the situation where everything looked ok. Many people believe that the devil is in power in that area and all the games had been played by him, this is the reason why this place is also called as devil’s triangles.
During these two hours radios on land were trying to get a hold of the squadron but had no luck until they heard an unclear radio transmission at 6:20 p.m. from the leader of the squadron, who was telling his men to jump off the aircraft (Edwards 1 of 15).... ... middle of paper ... ... Without a doubt, there are many incidents which have taken place around the Bermuda Triangle that nobody in the world has answers to.
