BCSPCA Commercial stands for British Colombia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals it includes pictures of animals that need shelter or a person that will give them love. Well a best known for describing this commercial is that these animals are in need of a home. These animals have been abused, left out in the streets, and many other things. This commercial shows the right amount of Logos, Ethos, and Pathos it can reach out to many.
Upon first receiving this assignment I was honestly not sure what I would do it on. Then I remember a very well done commercial from 2006. If you’re not sure what commercial I am referencing it is the ASPCA commercial with all the injured animals and "arms of an angel" playing in the background; furthermore, Sarah McLachlan voices over and stars in the commercial. The commercial does a good job of appealing to animal lovers sense of emotion (Pathos) through the photos and videos of helpless and beaten animals. Sarah McLachlan also appeals to animal lovers through the fact that she has been a longtime supporter of the ASPCA (Ethos). Also, the video includes statistics that can easily be proven these statistics help to support the commercials cause (logos). Finally the sun comes back out and the man has both his dog and his horse back at home. There are many rhetorical strategies that Budweiser uses in their advertisement. The biggest being pathos. They use pathos in almost every aspect of their commercial. By changing the lighting, music, and overall relatability they are able to change the audience’s emotions. They also use ethos in their commercial by always reminding you of their brand.

Budweiser, one of the first national beer brands founded in America, is currently the number three beer brand in the United States. In their “Friends are Waiting” commercial, the viewers see the emotional connection between an affectionate owner and his playful dog. This commercial mainly targets young adults because it is more likely for them to go out and drink. By using these rhetorical appeals: ethos, pathos, and logos; the Budweiser team persuades the readers to always come back home because someone is waiting.

Advertisements try to get consumers to buy their products by getting their attention. Most advertisements don’t have anything to do with the product itself. Every company has a different way of getting the public’s attention, but every advertisement has the same goal - to sell the product. Every advertisement tries to appeal to the audience by using ethos, pathos, and logos, while also focusing on who their audience is and the purpose of the ad. An example of this is a Charmin commercial where there is a bear who gets excited when he gets to use the toilet paper because it is so soft.
The advertisement by the Office of National Drug Control Policy strongly persuades the reader not to dabble with marijuana. In the image, the close-up of a crooked bicycle wheel sits on an asphalt road. At first glance, maybe the reader does not recognize what the image explains to the reader and what it is about. However, the viewer figures that there is a sad story in the ad. The viewer reads the story of this wheel in the upper right hand corner of the picture.
This essay shall attempt to analyze the series of "Energizer bunny" advertisements. There is a current trend in modern television advertising for a series of commercials for the same product. An excellent example is the ad sequence for "Taster's Choice" coffee brand, where a man and a woman share (cups of) coffee amid alluring looks and sexual innuendos. But I digress. The Energizer camp decided to run a series, but the ingenuity in the Energizer series is that in every commercial in the series, not one begins or ends with suggestions or hints that there was, or will be, another ad before or after it.
The picture of the advertisement is very moving itself.The very noticeable pitch dark background denotes terror,misery and despair giving us the idea of how appalling the situation is.The young boy’s depressed and innocent expression adds to the dreadful image and makes it’s viewers emotional.We can clearly see a black eye on his face showing he is a victim himself and this injury focuses on the fact of how gruesome and painful it can be to be a victim of such abuse.In the middle in white text is written,”HE HAS HIS MOTHER’S EYES”.This is the main and the most highlighted part of this advertisement and the font size and bright color makes it more visible than any other text in the image.The line is presented in a sarcastic manner adding slight humor to the criticism of this issue.When we say someone has his mother’s eyes we mean that person’s eyes resemble that of his mothers’.In this case,the young boy not only inherits his mother’s looks but also the sufferings and hardships that his mother had to go through due to physical abuse.I thought the way this message was presented makes the argument even more compelling.The ugly truth hidden under this sarcasm hits the viewers the most as they realize how easily this damage can transfer from one person to another,in this case from a mother to her son.In a smaller text at the bottom right of the picture it says to “report abuse”.This shows civic engagement that as a responsible citizen we should raise our voices if we
