I snuggled into my bed, smiling as I bundled myself in the warm blankets. I scrunched up my face, feeling something poke my back gently. I rolled over, nuzzling my face into my pillow once more. I ignored the soft hissing noises that were coming from behind me and started to drift off again. My eyes shot open, I feeling something land on top of me, causing me to wheeze at the sudden pressure.
I shrieked, rolling onto the floor with a loud thump, pulling my blankets and pillows to the floor with me.
I groaned, rubbing my thumping head hoping to ease the pain in my temples.
I shifted my gaze to the top of the bed, to where my grey tabby sat, licking her paw innocently. I glared daggers at the cat, knowing that she was in fact the exact opposite

I scrunched my nose in distain as I slid into the skirt. I buttoned up my top with a frown and slid on my blazer before grabbing my tie And stuffing it into my bag. I rushed out the door with my bag in one hand and my shoes in the other toward Karasuno High school.

I felt excitement flood through me as the last bell rang. I grinned, rushing toward the gymnasium for Volleyball practice. I couldn't wipe the excited smile off song face as I pushed through the crowded halls and out be back door.
I walked down the path with an extra pep in my step. My feet padded quietly as I walked on the sidewalk. My feet pressing little blades of grass that grew out of the cracks of the sidewalk.
Karasuno may not have been the most prestigious school in Japan, but it was still a good school.
I mostly came to Karasuno for their volleyball program. Karausanl by far had the best program for volleyball out of the schools that I lived near.
I had been playing volleyball ever since I could remember. I had always loved the court. The way the gym smelled before a match. How the shoes sounded as they squeaked noisily on the floor as people rushed to the ball. But most of all, I loved the satisfaction of Saving your team as you dived for the ball. Giving your team another shot at scoring a
I have played volleyball for 5 years. I have played school volleyball for five years, and club volleyball for four. Throughout my years of playing, I have recognized a significant difference between club volleyball and school volleyball. I have played for two clubs in my four years of playing club. The first two years, I played for a club named Platform Elite. The last two years, I have played for Iowa Select, and this year I am playing my club season with Infinity X. Personally, I prefer club volleyball over school volleyball. Club volleyball and school volleyball can be compared in three different categories: price, competition, and “politics” within the sport and its’ players.
Volleyball represents my most meaningful commitment not just because I have invested so much into it, but also because it it’s a passion of mine and has been a part of my life since elementary school. The impact my coaches and teammates have had on my life has helped make me the confident and determined individual I am today. Volleyball also takes up a lot of time and there are many sacrifices that come with the sport and playing on a team. To keep up my skills, I have had to give up a lot of my free time and parts of my summer. Balancing school with practices was also a challenge, but participating in one of my passions made it worthwhile. I have persevered through difficult times and learned new lessons along the way, so there is nothing that could make this sport less meaningful to me. (148)
While in high school, I played a variety of sports. By senior year, I found that the sport that I excelled in most, volleyball, was the sport that I spent the most time practicing. It was also the sport that I had the most passion for
I am sitting in the University of Georgia Baseball Locker room and as I look around I can’t decide what to think about all of it. The whole team is in here, music blasting and my teammates dancing. I’m watching and observing the things around me wondering how I got so lucky to be in this place with all these great guys. In the room there are 4 game systems all hooked up with their own televisions. On the opposite side of the room are 3 couches with a massive television above playing the little league world series. Japan is playing Canada and Canada is winning 10 to 4 in the top of the 6th inning. All the lockers are nice and neat with name tags with our numbers and all have the matching stools in our locker. There are baseballs trailing around
She passes, she sets, she hits. Kill! Volleyball is a very interesting sport and is the second most popular sport in the whole world falling behind soccer. The way volleyball was created, how it has changed over time, and the rules of volleyball give it a really cool and interesting history.
I love volleyball even though it has not always been easy. I have had a lot of problems during my volleyball journey that have helped me grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. I started playing volleyball in fifth grade on the middle school team and am now playing on JV. I did not get a lot of playing time when I first started, but I practiced and learned the basics of the game. I developed a love for the game with a great group of girls that I looked up to, during my first season. I have not always had the best team and coach, though.
Both teams are fighting for the win, only one point away, my adrenaline starts to run. I have adapted to live for the rush that comes with playing a sport. Volleyball has definitely been an outlet for me when it comes to school, family, and simply anything else. I have been on my high school volleyball team since freshman year. Although I loved playing, each year I struggled finding a balance between school and practice. I never let the struggle bring me down. I stayed committed to school and stayed on top on my assignments. I will admit there were times that i thought I couldn't do it anymore but i knew that to continue playing i needed to keep my grades up.
We can all agree that the first thing anyone thinks after waking up Monday morning is "fuck". If you don't do that, you're either really rich, psychopath or Youtuber. Or maybe all three?
Starting back in 6th grade Jackson Holmes remembers always loving to play volleyball. Holmes doesn’t recall exactly what spiked his interest when it comes to the sport but he loved playing it in the pool while he was young.
I slowly got to my feet. My leg was really hurting, but I didn’t want to look down for fear of what I would find.
I had mixed feelings towards volleyball for a majority of the season. Earlier in the year I was chosen to be a floater meaning that I would play on both the
My ninth grade school was called Josefina Ferrero. It was a small, public school located in a suburban, middle class neighborhood. The neighborhood was quite, I remember that in one of backyard of the houses that were in front of the school there was a little store with chairs and tables and we all used to go and buy candy, ice, cheese dogs and thing like that and there was also a pharmacy in the neighborhood and me and my friend used
Bonnie the secretary introduced me to my new teacher. As Mrs. Bonnie was leaving the room, my new teacher Mrs. Evaheart introduced me to the class. As I stared at the class I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. I wanted to go back to my old school where I had friends, knew almost everyone, a place where I didn’t feel lonesome, a place anywhere but here. As I saw each and every one of my new classmates faces the utter dread that I felt slowly began to fade as I saw a familiar face. Seeing one of my former friends give me a renewed hope that maybe being in this school won’t be so bad after
These Japanese children definitely have a competitive educational edge over a lot of the world. Although they are oftentimes pressured into their studies, they come out on top and have learned a great deal. And most of the children actually want an education. They are not just at school because they have to be. Senior High schools have over 90% admission rate to Colleges and Universities. Once they attain the College-level status, a lot of students describe it as a walk in the park in comparison to their previous years of education. These years of education allow them to become a major educated force to be reckoned with.
It seems strange that a simple sport can do so much to a person, but it is not just a simple sport. To an outsider it is just volleyball, but to a player it is love, commitment, and family. It is a way to connect with people who become people in your life that are unforgettable. I have spent the past five years playing this sport with many different girls and I watched them as they grew up and went on to college and other things in life, and now I am that girl. I am now a senior in high school playing volleyball for the last year and I could not imagine what my life would be like if I had never tried this
