As I walked onto the beach the sand kissed my feet. Immediately, I was taken in by the soothing atmosphere which encircled me. The golden expanse invited my bare feet to stroll along it. The elevated ball of fire blinded my eyes, yet it felt warm on my skin. I let myself absorb the intense rays of the unforgiving sun, while the gentle sea breeze rustled through my hair; the sugar-like sand beneath my feet glimmered like jewels and seemed to continue for miles. I shut my somnolent eyes and appreciated the gentle breeze that accompanied the humid weather. The velvet-silk sand squished between my toes and collapsed under my weight with each step I took making my calves ache. I looked around and could hear the joyous laughter of children; they were bursting with vigour and excitement! They constructed architectures utilising the coarse sand. I looked even further and noticed that fathers were lugging picnic baskets; mothers were coating their children in sunscreen; teenagers were playing games of volleyball; old people were reading books under the shade. The lifeguard was looking down intently from his high, god-like position. He was watching over those below and protecting people from danger. Beneath him were the children who stumbled as they sprinted across the warm sand to the edges of the cool sea. They collected sand in their buckets and remoulded it into magnificent images of their wild
