When thinking of the beach, I think of it as a warm and relaxing destination. A beach is a place to step away from the world for a few hours and enjoy oneself. Little did I know my perspective of the beach will change. I lived in Florida for a year, two of my good friends Shane and John decided to come down for a week. It was John’s first time traveling to Florida so I tried to think of as many fun and interesting activities as I could to have planned for them. I thought we could explore the wet lands, travel to Key West and spend time at the beach near my house. The night they flew in we all decided that we would wake up the next morning and would enjoy some time at the beach. We woke up the next morning ate breakfast and put on our swim
As my family and I walked into the plane, we were excited. The plane ride to jamaica stopped in L.A. and, after that, it went to jamaica. When we arrived in Jamaica it was really hot, but it was wet. I immediately took off my sweater I was wearing on the plane. We took a bus to our hotel. Then we started swimming in the water park. Every night there was a show in the main stage. The next day we woke up early to go to chukka. It was awesome. We saw a great house, rode on horses, and did a challenge course. After we came back from Chukka, we went to the water park and swimming pool at the hotel. Then we ate at fresh, which we went most of the time. The next day we woke up earlier to go to the dolphin cove. The bus was an hour late, but the wait
After spending years of his life researching, teaching future medical students as Professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, and being recognized as an international authority in microbiology and infectious diseases, Dr. Donald Low was about to face the biggest challenge of his life. On February 7th, 2010, he was diagnosed as having a brain stem tumor. As an intern he knew that his prognosis was not good, and although he could accept the idea of his own death, his most difficult task after diagnosis was telling his family.
As my car turns into the parking lot, I can smell the crisp seawater air.I have finally arrived at the Wildwood Boardwalk. When a person steps onto the boardwalk, they see millions of colors zipping around.Carnival games are at the front of the boardwalk. My favorite carnival game is the watergun game.Once I beat all of the other contestants at the game stand, and won a huge plush Spongebob. While playing the carnival games,I can smelll food coming from a couple of feet away. The sweet and salty scent of popcorn, zeppolis, and ice cream, balances perfectly with the freshness of the seawater.Boardwalk food is greasy and delicious. If I walk farther down the boardwalk,I can see the mall.Boardwalk malls are different than normal malls. At these malls you
The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is one of the guiding moral documents of Canada, which states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice.” (Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, 1982) In the opinion of the Supreme Court, current law infringes upon section 7 and this means that the ban on assisted suicide unjustly and immorally denies the human right to life and liberty and therefore, it is immoral to ban physician-assisted suicide outright. Law and ethics are closely related and often what is legal is ethical and what is illegal is unethical. (American Medical Association, 1994) Denying a mentally competent and terminally ill patient the right to a quick, painless and dignified death would be blatantly disregarding the foundational medical principal of autonomy. This would also make sense from a libertarian standpoint, as the person would be able to live their life the way that they want to with almost no harm to others. Research shows that doctors often agree with physician-assisted suicide and believe it is the moral choice especially in cases where the patient is terminally ill and has no treatment options

An Analysis of Dover Beach Dover Beach intrigued me as soon as I read the title. I have a great love of beaches, so I feel a connection with the speaker as he or she stands on the cliffs of Dover, looking out at the sea and reflecting on life. Arnold successfully captures the mystical beauty of the ocean as it echoes human existence and the struggles of life. The moods of the speaker throughout the poem change dramatically, as do the moods of the sea. The irregular, undesirable rhyme is representative of these inharmonious moods and struggles.
Euthanasia in Canada should be legal in cases of patients suffering from terminal or chronic illness. Euthanasia falls under section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms as a constitutional provision that protects an individual's autonomy and personal legal rights from actions of the government in Canada. As well as that, Canadian citizens reserve the right to die on their own terms, or, “die with dignity”. Finally, the addition of euthanasia to the end of life care program in Canada will not reduce the presence, nor the quality of other palliative care procedures.
Firstly, The Government of Canada should not consider legalizing euthanasia because the very principles of medical ethics are ignored. There are many medical principles
A new day has begun. Slowly ascending into the cold dark sky, the sun glows vibrantly with delight. The passionate colours fill the sky with warmth like the pink grapefruits, zesty lemons, citrus oranges and cherry red. The sea so subtle sparkles preciously as it strolls up against the shore. The crystal water that stretch out far into the horizon gets darker and deeper but stays very calm.
They are both wonderful places to go, relax and have fun with friends and family. The most wonderful thing about beaches are that you meet new people and spend time with yourself. It shows you that the world is not all destroyed it is one place that is beautiful and kind. Sometimes people like to watch the sunset and the sun rise because it is so relaxing and satisfying, the waves crashing and the sounds of laughter and people running and having fun.
Ever since Sunset Beach has been officially opened to the public, there has been a drastic increase of tourists present. Television programs concluded that at least a thousand people visit the beach everyday. Reasons for their stay are that they feel comfortable with the environment that surrounds the beach front, people who are at the beach are joyous and numerous activities to enjoy, and the fresh scent of the sparkly waters, make the visitors feel calm and pleasurable. So I decided to take a trip there.
Everyone has a place where they go to escape the pressures and the worries of their hectic lives. There’s always that one place that you can go to, to clear your head and soothe your problems away when you are stressed. For me that place is the beach, it is my ultimate cure for stress. When I’m there, all my worries and obligations are suddenly lifted and I feel calm and free. Thoughts of living at a beach house, for most of us, bring about images of clear blue skies and beautiful tropical blue beaches as we dream up fantasies of ultimate relaxation and well-being.
It was a cool morning, and the breeze was blowing in my face. The air was fresh and full of oxygen. That day, we were going to the glass sand beach, our most wanted place to visit. But then… (Start of Vacation): “Can’t you wait to go to the glass sand beach?” I said to my sister.
Summer Vacation After graduating high school my friends Kenadee, MaryKaitLyn, Madison, and I had planned a trip to Panama City Beach. The only way our parents would allow us to go is if they went with us; Kenadee and Mary’s moms went and promised us it would be like they weren’t even there, but to save money we all stayed in the same room. We knew it was going to be crowded because a lot of other graduates would be there too, Panama is like party central. None of us had ever been to a legit party so we promised ourselves we would do something fun and exciting but nothing completely stupid. We arrive in Panama and do nothing but lie on the beach all day and work on our tans.
I use any excuse to walk along the ocean, especially alone and without my phone. The wind blew cold air, but the sun’s warm rays kept my body at a perfect temperature. It was three in the afternoon and I was calm.
