bad soccer goalie When I was 9 years old, I played indoors soccer, everything was all good, I practiced with my team, our coach, had a lot of problems, tony was one of best members of of the team, he had of lot of foot power, I was bad I hated the sport, my mom asked me if I wanted to join, I said yeah because I did not want to hurt my moms feelings, my mom got all esatic, when we had our practices, I was okay, until, when one of our games. When I was in one the games our teams was one short, my coach suggested I be goalie, I was the feeling I hated, but I really didn't care about goalie, I would just stand on the side and let the other team shoot, but our coach changed his mind tony was goalie, he was good at it we won, to my surprise, …show more content…
I was pretty good. But that didn't change anything When I didn't do anything at home I would just practice soccer, I tried searching up some new tricks, I did a soccer trick called “rainbow”, where, I throw the ball up with my legs, and kick it backwards, my mom would be like “ Good for you” my mom wouldn't care about me sometimes, so I never told them what did, when we went to practices, I am scared that I would get kicked in the shin, so I would wear shin guards, but my teammates made fun of me, I really didn't care, when we fought(in soccer) each other I always pushed them to the side, and they would fall (of course), I laughed at them it was kind of funny, but then they got revenge, and they threw me like a feather, and like I said I really don't care anymore, I did this for my mom.(No less, and no more) But there came a time when we had to battle really good teams, but our team managed to get through the game quite well, until one of our best teammates resigned, his name was tony, he is one the best, and always kicked the ball high when we needed to score.
Until, our team faced a team which is going difficult because I was defense, I thought of myself as np position, I was to shy to play, because I thought was everyone as judgemental, literally everyone, which they are, so I'm not
going to play it my all, when the ball came I flinched, that I would get hit cause I didn't want to get hurt so I ducked and they scored, at my dad was giving me that omg-why-are-you-scared-of-that-ball-face, and I just look away I was pissed, and really angry, so I try to logically examine the opponent's weaknesses, and I didn't have because they had such a small goalie, but their defense was air-tight, so we tried. And I recognized someone on the team, I hated him, he used to go to my elementary, I was his nemesis(not really). During halftime I talked to my parents,”Why do you keep giving me that look,ヽ(゚〇゚)ノ,” I remarked loudly, “I would ask you the same question, instead why are you scared of the ball.” My dad said, I start laughing historically, then walk away, I think to myself did he just ask me this question, so I just walk up to our coach and say, “Okay, what position am I?” I ask quuestionl, “You are goalie,” he remarks lightly, I like at him blunt, “umm, are you sure, or I mean can you respect that,” “You are the goalie,” he says slowly, like I was deaf. “Okay, I understand, I am not deaf,” I remarked slowly,so I can backfire, but I added something quickly, “let me give you fair ⚠️ i'm not a good goalie,” I say, but they didn't answer me, when everyone got into position I just stood on the side of the goal, because I warned them I'm not a good goalie, and every time, the oppenent team got near they scored because I wasn't their to block, and told them I'm a bad soccer goalie, we lost of course cause of me, is was their fault,my mom and dad were mad, I really didn't care, all I was happy for was that I proved myself right.

It all started freshman year of high school. I really wanted to get involved in some kind of sport or club. I couldn’t decide what to do. Many people said I should join the lacrosse team and my response was “I have never played before, how am I suppose to make the team”. I always had an interest in lacrosse however I was scared to go out and buy all the expensive equipment and not make the team.. I went home that night and asked my parents what I should do. My dad encouraged me to go out and try. He said it doesn’t hurt to try. That next morning of school, I raced to the athletic office and signed up for lacrosse, and when that bell rang after school I went to the lacrosse store nearest to me and bought all of the gear so that I could make the first tryout. The fist tryout was the day after I bought all of the gear.
If I could ever go back and do anything different, I would not. After I began playing for boys, I developed a new style that made me a much better goalie for my girls team. Becoming the outsider helped me learn to overcome labels and that even if people doubt you, every situation is what you make it. This Spring, I will be playing my third and final year with the boys, and the experience will never leave
From an early age I always knew I would be playing soccer my whole life. My dad showed me the ropes of how to play and got me interested right away. By the age of three I had started playing, and to this day I have not stopped. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and I don’t know where I would be today if I never played. I met some amazing people playing soccer including my coaches who encouraged me and told me never to give up as well as my teammates who became my friends and were always there for me.
I started playing soccer when I was four years old. At the time I had a lot of problems. To name a few, I was bad at working with others, I was a sore loser, and I did not handle pain or disappointment well. When I started to play soccer I had a low self esteem and was terribly shy. Going up and talking to people was not on my list of things to do. This made it pretty hard for me to fit in with all the other kids and make friends. It was hard to enjoy playing soccer when I felt as though I had no friends on the team. My parents noticed my dislike in the sport, but urged me to keep playing anyway.
I have been playing ice hockey since I was seven years old. By age ten, I knew I loved being a hockey goalie more than anything else. I dedicated my time to achieve my goal of playing at the highest level possible. Over the years, I worked extremely hard to learn my position. I took private lessons,
In 2014 I was determined to make the high school soccer team. Every day at 8 am at the beginning of a dreadfully hot August morning, I would get to the turf fields for 4 hours and participate in “hell week”. After a long week, I made the JV team. I was never put into the game and felt like my hard work was put to no use. My sophomore year rolled around and I tried extra hard to impress the coaches. Anything and everything was a competition to make it to the top. By the end of the week, we all gathered around the paper that had names of the players who made it. I didn’t make the team. After tears and telling myself to move on, I went to the field hockey tryouts. I knew nothing about the sport and was terrified that soccer wasn’t my go-to
I woke up and got dressed for the game, I put on my shorts, gathered all my equipment, and made a game plan for the big game. I thought to myself, “I need to play the best game of my life and never quit.” I went downstairs and heard a car honking outside. I went to the door, put on my cleats, and went outside. My friend George and I got out of the car and put on our equipment, and went to start practicing. I was the goalie so of course I have the biggest responsibility on the field. I knew I had to step up and make a lot of saves.
As a sophomore on the varsity basketball team is was placed with the toughest position of all, point guard. The point guard is the general of the team his actions affect the team's performance the most. Coming in I never played the true point guard spot before so it was a new experience. Being the youngest starter also put heavy pressure on me. I was awful,I just couldn't let the game come to me. Everything was way too fast for me and our team's performance showed. I turned the ball over countless times per game. In my mind I was hopeless but as my sophomore season went
November I went to Platinum Club so I could interview some soccer players first of all I headed to the football pitch and I wanted to look for teens because I’m only going to interview teens. I study my questions well so I can ask them, the first guy I saw on the football pitch was 17 years old, he didn’t play in any club before, he just played in the club. I asked him when did he start playing soccer and he says I started playing soccer when I was 7 years old, I asked him if he had any mental issues coming from soccer, he says NO because he didn’t take football professional so he hasn’t had any stress coming from this sport. The next player was 19 years old he played in al Ahly club I asked him if he has any mental health issues coming from soccer and if you have state them, he says I have a lot of mental health issues from soccer like getting stressed when the ball comes towards me afraid of making mistakes so the coach yells at him or gets him subbed out of the game.
Why Are People So Crazy About Soccer? There are plenty of reasons why soccer is as popular as it is. One of the biggest reasons why people in South America and Europe love soccer so much is because they played it as children and in school. When you realize how difficult something is to do well, it often makes you appreciate the talents of the people that do perform well. Playing the game, and then watching professionals play it with honed and well-crafted skill, is often pleasant, enjoyable, and even exciting.
The job outlook of professional soccer is and will be continue to increase over the years. The employment of professional sports athletes and competitors is on par with its schedule to grow seven percent by 2022 slower than the average growth for all occupations (Applegate). The growth of the employment is due to the population growth and the extreme interest in professional sports with that being said it might have to end up leading to an increase in professional sports teams (Applegate). The major leagues will have to strongly consider expanding to new parts of the united states making new teams which will end up meaning new jobs for more professional athletes nationwide (Applegate). However on the on the other hand for a professional league
Some parents don't want their children to be in that mess, so they don't sign them up for soccer from the very beginning. Sometimes it’s the parents fault that the child doesn't treausre soccer. It could also be the other way around. It doesn't matter how old you are or how young you are you could think soccer is a waste, not worth it, or something that shouldn’t be treasured at
and what if’s, and it’s definitely not boosting my self confidence. But I can’t help but make it hard on myself. I put so much pressure on myself, to take the responsibility, to lead my team. But I’m not big.
