The job outlook of professional soccer is and will be continue to increase over the years. The employment of professional sports athletes and competitors is on par with its schedule to grow seven percent by 2022 slower than the average growth for all occupations (Applegate). The growth of the employment is due to the population growth and the extreme interest in professional sports with that being said it might have to end up leading to an increase in professional sports teams (Applegate). The major leagues will have to strongly consider expanding to new parts of the united states making new teams which will end up meaning new jobs for more professional athletes nationwide (Applegate). However on the on the other hand for a professional league …show more content…
to expand itself is rare creating and making a new team is a very expensive task and if it doesn’t have the local support it could be a major bust (Fields 21). In Actuality a majority of teams relocate to different cites that is more interesting about the sport or having a bigger fan base too back up the team therefor a move would be adequate to make in order to make more money (Applegate). To conclude the future of the occupation looks bright. Professional soccer players has been around since the early 1800s.
The federation international de football association (FIFA) the game we all know has evolved so much over the years (Applegate). FIFA had become a member of the international football association board in 1913 and over more than 240 million people around the globe regularly play soccer everyday (Fields 20). England was the first to put actually rules into the sport which was no tripping the opponent on purpose and no hand may touch the ball as the time progressed the more rules were created and historical milestones was set (Applegate). Red and yellow cards were created during the 1970 world cup finals, goalkeepers (Keeps) was banned from handling deliberant back passes in 1992, tackles (Slide Tackles) from behind becoming red carded penalties in 1998 (Applegate). In 1982 West Germany and France played where West Germany won on penalties kicks which was the first time in world cup history it had ever happened and before that in 1953 a match between England and Hungary where England lost for the first time in history at their home field (Applegate). Arguably the greatest soccer player to ever play the game goes by the name Pele (Edson aranthas Do nascimenta) from Brazil who scored six goals in 1958 to help Brazil win its first world cup in the history of the world cup and he scored six goals on his own that’s two hat tricks which is insane (Applegate). sport it is now. Soccer requires much dedication it’s not something you can just jump into it and be great at it.
Being a professional soccer player has no educational requirements but being trained is on the other hand required (fields 21). Several people have this training by playing in college or amateur playing at a college with a major team has a better time to get their skills and techniques this way they have to work out every day for several hours per out the day in order to get better (Applegate). It is not required but it is recommended for athletes to attend a gym with a daily routine going to the gym to focus on their overall body muscle to not only get better at the requirements they need but overall as a athletes for example Gareth bale is one of the fastest players throughout every league and he runs miles upon miles a day just to keep his speed up along with his endurance (Applegate). In order to be a professional soccer player you need to be in the upmost of shapes in order to be successful at your job due to the constant running and unlike any other sport they are very few breaking points from first whistle there’s halftime which is a 10 minuet break and from there on out there is no other breaks unless there is a injury on the field (Applegate). In order to be successful at this career it is something you must constantly work
on. Professional soccer is something anyone could get into. Soccer is extremely popular overseas where the audience is most vibrant and the money for not only the owners but the players are more rewarding than in the United States (Applegate). As soccer is played in high school in the united states and for the most part college if the athletes chooses to go into college most athletes look to play professional soccer overseas in different countries if they are great enough they may get lucky enough to be scouted out to be a member of their international team (Applegate). If chosen he will have to relocate out of the country at least for the season they are able to play for only the best of the best gets chosen for the international teams of their respected countries (Fields 21). Every four years a new world cup is chosen to be held in a different country which is the equivalent to the playoffs and the super bowl

Soccer (Football) is said to be the world’s most popular sport in the world, USA are one the few countries where soccer isn't the main sport. The beautiful game is a game of passion; fans coming together to form a ‘religion’ but all this fun and excitement come down to money. The football business is one that generates a great deal of revenue from betting to tickets, TV and shirts sponsorship and transfer deals. You can argue it’s the richest sport in the world. Here in America we are late boomers to the soccer craze, which is why our league isn't as strong as other like the Barclays Premier League, LA LIGA, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A etc. In the year 1996, MLS was founded and the association was not favorably disposed to by the general public. As time went by, more Americans accepted and grew interest in sport. The Major League Soccer and United States Soccer Association (USSA) have since had hard time attracting revenue due to numerous problems.
In the United States, major league professional soccer has attracted little interest from the fans. Either indoor or outdoor proved to be successful, even with stars coming from Europe and Latin America. American Soccer League was the longest running professional league in the United States soccer history, going from 1921 to 1984. The North American Soccer League only existed until 1985. Some of the worlds' greatest players competed in this league, such as Michael Platani and Giorgio Chinaglia.
In the 19th century, soccer started to come to life in America. Some colleges started to play the game in the 1820s, with the first contest taking place at Harvard in 1827. Then, a huge invention took place in 1855. That year, the Charles Goodyear soccer ball was invented. Charles Goodyear created these soccer balls with vulcanized rubber. 12 years later in 1867, soccer took two huge steps. The first standardized soccer rules were published that year. Now, graduates from different schools could play together and had proper rules to follow when playing a game. But later that year, another just as, if not mor...
Coaches play an important role in the development of children. Approximately 35 million children who range from the ages of 5-18 years old participate in organized sports. Coaches have a variety of roles, they serve as advisors, mentors, teachers, and more. The soccer field is a place where the child is able to develop as an athlete and as an individual. Coaches help children learn new experiences, learn about themselves, build relationships, and overcome obstacles. Coaches aid in the four stages of intellectual growth of children proposed by Jean Piaget, the sociocultural theory fundamental ideas proposed by Lev Vygotsky, and also in intelligence and achievement in soccer. Soccer coaches are able to have a positive impact on children through
Soccer was globalized when the FIFA World Cup was established in 1928. Being the single most watched sporting event in the world, the World Cup is a way to bring the world together in a delightful way. According to FIFA’s website, “It fulfills FIFA’s objectives to touch the world, develop the game, and build a better future through a variety of ways.” They also mention, “As of mid-2007, FIFA has grown to include 208 member associations, thus making it one of the biggest and certainly the most popular sports federation in the world” (“FIFA World Cup”). The World Cup has been held every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when WWII stopped it from being held (“FIFA World Cup”). Countries compete against each other in these tournaments in a process of elimination until one country comes out on top and is titled champion.
No other country can compare to the great nation of Brazil when it comes to the beautiful game of soccer. Since their entrance as full member of FIFA, or Fédération Internationale de Football Association, in 1923, the country of Brazil has accounted for numerous trophies as well as individual awards for its players (“Brazil”). Brazilian futebol, or soccer, has reached international stardom because of its history consisting of ground breaking teams, revolutionary players, and winning performances in competitive tournaments.
Our book defines a group as a collection of people who are perceived to bond together in a coherent unit to some degree (Baron 241). Making a decision isn’t always easy depending on how many people are in the group and if there is any conflict within the group. The basic aspects of a group include roles, status, norms and cohesiveness but when viewing my soccer team I see only certain obvious aspects being present. When thinking about the process in which we, as a group have to make the decision of where to stop for food after an away game, it is obvious that many theories and/or topics can be applied. These theories or topics include evaluation apprehension, social decision schemas, authentic dissent and conflict. The four subjects listed above help explain how a group can come to a decision together.

The FA spent decades, making the game better and developing rules and regulation for the games. The sport was spread all over the world, as far away as Australia and Canada. The FA brand of soccer stayed popular until the establishment of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in 1904. Today FIFA, being the sport’s international body consists of more than two hundred nations. All these nations seek to send their best team to the FIFA World Cup every four years (Auerbach). Teams all around the world are already getting ready for the next FIFA World Cup, which is going to be in Russia in the year
Soccer has proven to be a notable sport throughout the years starting with its unique history. Soccer began all over the world tracing back thousands of years. The Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Ancient Greek, Persian, Vikings, as well as other nationalities all played a form of the game soccer. In China and Rome, games that were similar to soccer were played around 200 B.C. (Helmer and Owens, 5). People believe that soccer started more than a thousand years ago when villagers killed attacking pirates by cutting off their heads and kicking them around (Helmer and Owens, 5). As time went on, people in Europe also played a game similar to soccer during Medieval Times. In fact, soccer was used to prepare warriors for battles in Ancient Greece and Rome (Dilov-Shultheis). In later history, the English called the game “Football” because soccer was played by kicking the ball with the foot (Helmer and Owens, 6). The name “soccer” came to be when the American’s Association Football was shortened to assoc., and later to soc. Eventually in 1895 it was called soccer (Helmer and Owens, 9). By the late 1700s and 1800s, soccer was played in many universities, but the rules were not ...
The history of soccer has been changed quite a bit throughout the times. The records trace the history of soccer back at least three thousand years ago. They have traced it back to ancient China, Greece, Rome, and also parts of Central America claim to have started this sport. Many historians have tried tracing the individual person that
The goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands, while it is in play and then only in their penalty area. ’’Outfield players mostly use their feet to strike or pass the ball, but may use their head or chest to strike the ball as an alternative. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is equal at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time or a penalty shootout depending on the format of the competition. The laws of the football game were initially classified in England by The Football Association in 1863.’’
The game of football is an essential determining factor that turns boys into men, and every boy at some point should learn to play the game. Not for the game itself, but for the things it teaches about working hard to achieve a goal and how to find another way to reach that goal if failure ensues the first try. The fundamentals of football were drilled into me as a three year old, along with tremendous off season workouts and being able to coach little league football and passing down my knowledge to others, are the key factors that lead to my breakout season and being one of the best players on the team.
