For the times in life where the automobile doesn’t work like it use to before. This is the person behind keeping the automobiles in top shape so in any weather, and always making them start under any condition other than if the gas tank was empty. The automotive technician is needed for society because this person corrects one’s automobile problems in all shapes and sizes; he or she performs regular maintenance, major engine repair, and other unnoticable problems not seen to the naked eye.

“First and foremost you must have a GED or a High School Graduates degree in order to complete any further training. High School courses in automotive repair, mathematics and electronics provide a good background for prospective for future bosses”(Summary). “A post secondary program in automotive service technology is considered the best preparation for entry-level positions. For a person with none of these becoming a Trainee technicians/helpers, or lubrication workers also helps get the certification. 2 years of experience and a passing of an exam, along with passing all foregoing areas like light vehicle diesel engine certification may earn an ASE Master Technician status.(Summary) “Certification program includes 11 basic automotive classes. They can take advanced classes at night while working in the industry during the day if they choose” (McGee). “The places that an auto technician would work is the same as you might expect; either from a normal garage, mechanic shop, automotive dealers, and parts stores (Summary).” “1 in 10 are self employed (Summary).” Injuries and illnesses are common, heavy parts and tools are sometimes needed and, accidents happen including blisters, small cuts and bruises, major injuries aren’t present
