Chapter One 30 years ago I was born, on July 7, 2003, Omaha, Nebraska Jennie Edmundson Hospital. I have decided to write this auto-biography because I wanted to send out a message to everyone who ever thought they weren’t good enough, or that they didn’t have everything everyone else did. I want everyone to be a trend setter not a follower. Chapter Two My real mom is Shannah Draman, My real dad Mark Addison. They were broken up when I was born. My siblings from youngest to oldest are… Markus, Breanna, Dailin, Janyce, Kennyannah, Me, Tasha, Halley, Alexis, Austin, Shaila, Hailey. My grandma used to tell me that when I was younger she and my uncle would take me out for ice cream at midnight just to make my mom mad sometimes. I am not going to …show more content…
My friends were great and I got to do some very fun things in school and in band. In middle school band was a very cool thing to do. Almost everyone had an instrument. I played the flute right along with my best friend Laci. We were moderately good. And we got to do a lot of cool stuff like play at the football game, march in the parade and try out for honor band. I actually had a lot of friends in middle school my 2 best friends were Laci and Kaylle. My table at lunch is normally filled with kids. But it wasn’t always easy. My real mom was a drug addict and my parents were drinkers. So I always tried to find some way to escape. Then I went back to school the next day had to act like I was so glad to be there. Which I was but then again I could never …show more content…
I was an E.M.T., which can be very stressful. I typically work on the ambulance assessing the problem, giving them the medicine they need to make it to the hospital. When I work in the hospital I work in the intensive care unit (ICU). I do it because I just really like the idea of saving someone's life every single day. But then there are the downs to this job, when you have to let someone go. It is the hardest part. I live in Brownsville, Texas. I live in Texas because it is near the beach and I love it. It is always warm and rarely snows here. I wanted to be near family but not so close that we were neighbors. I go on road trips a lot just to see around the state. I’m not very familiar with it but I came here as a kid a lot. I go to the beach with my best friend Laci all of the time and we just have so much fun down here. I’m even starting to get a little bit of an accent. I live in a house. It has 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms. 115 Shoreline Dr. is the address. I live here with my best friend Laci and are 2 adopted australian kids. It is just great down here. I have a great and safe
The roles and responsibilities of an EMT is to be on time to the job and have a positive attitude when you come to work. EMTs work with different, that have very different attitudes and people sometimes aren’t that nice in the ambulance and sometimes, if not most of the time, can or are very rude so I have to be ready to deal with all types of people while I’m on the job. EMTs have to know what type of care to give the victim weather it is giving an IV or simply taking blood. They have to know all these things.
Growing up in Virginia was great. The house I lived in for the entirety of my life there, was right on the water. With this location, of course we had it all; boats, jet
Well, my brother's a golfer, so we moved partly because of him. But also my mom wanted to give me a chance to have more opportunities in acting, and so we moved here so that could happen.
Because of some of the circumstances that make me who I am, it is hard to say I have any one definitive home. Instead, I have had two true homes, ever since I was a young child. What makes this even more of a conundrum is that my homes have always had little in common, even though they are only a few hundred miles apart. Between the big city of Houston, Texas, and the small town of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, I have grown up in two very different towns that relate to one another only in the sense that they have both raised me.
I haven’t always wanted to live in a different state when I was older. The thought never even crossed my mind until a couple years ago when one of my friends had been living in North Carolina. Around this time I had also been traveling to different states for some missionary work so traveling around really started to interest me. After hearing about North Carolina from my friend, I thought I wanted to live there; after some research I realized that maybe it wasn’t the best place for me, because I found Greenville. Although not perfect, Greenville, South Carolina would be a great place to live because of all the history, affordability, and easy-going way of life the area brings.
Throughout my four years in high school I have been fortunate enough to fulfill many of my aspirations and my thirst for knowledge. One goal that I would like to achieve is to become an international attorney. I have aligned my involvement in specific academic and extra-curricular activities to aid me preparing for the long road between my present situation and the day I pass the bar exam. Through my high school activities I have learned three virtues that I have deemed necessary to achieve my goal, passion, self-discipline, and perseverance.
ER doctors require intensive training to know how to shoulder their intensive responsibilities. You have to go to school longer than any other job but you make a killing. If you make it you have a great life a head of you.
I moved to Augusta, from Arizona, twelve years ago when my mother took a conference office job with the Peach Belt Conference. I was five years old then, and my father wanted to retire from coaching baseball to spend more time with me, so we moved out here so my mother could work and my father could spend his time raising me. This move helped me have an easier time as I grew up, because I still got to see my mother every day when she came home from work and my father was now always around instead of being gone for multiple days at a time. This area also has great schools at all levels of education.
Most nurses that work in hospitals will re-bandage wounds, fill out patients charts, and/or accompany the doctor or surgeon when they have a consultation with the patient(s). Now there are also nurses that will only work with patients that have a heart disease or newborn babies. If I were to become a nurse like I've dreamt to be, I would most likely choose to be a trauma nurse. They have to work in fast-paced and often stressful environments (“how to become an emergency nurse”). I've always enjoyed watching trauma nurses do their jobs. Good thing they get paid a lot to deal with that many people at
I would switch back and forth between loving school and despising it. Often times I would be bored by the school work that was too easily completed. This was changed by a once a week class that was named Individualized Learning Opportunities (ILO). This class gave me a reason to enjoy school. The teacher Mrs. Krebbs was the most amazing person that I had ever known. She would let us play with glue and be messy and give us the attention we often lacked from our other teachers. During this time is when I made my first long time friend, Alex. I met Alex when I was in second grade. She was my first best friend and would remain in that position until we both moved away for college and lost touch. She always brought out my best qualities when we were
My sister and I would often play or hangout with them but my mother was very strict with these visits and would only let us hangout once maybe twice a week. Despite this however life was good to me, I had good friends, lived in a nice house across the street from my elementary school.
As 4th grade came around, I only had a select set of few friends. These friends are the same friends that stuck by me all throughout first grade up until now. With being socially deprived and craving friendship, I grew lonely. Just to get my mind off of feeling avoided, a quarter of the way into my 4th grade year, I took up learning an instrument. I spent all my 4th grade year digging into music, playing the clarinet and learning the ins and outs of the wood winds.
Let’s flash back in time to before our college days. Back to then we had lunch trays filled with rubbery chicken nuggets, stale pizza, and bags of chocolate milk. A backpack stacked with Lisa Frank note books, flexi rulers, and color changing pencils. The times where we thought we wouldn’t make it out alive, but we did. Through all the trials and tribulations school helped build who I am today and shaped my future. From basic functions all the way to life-long lessons that helped shape my character.
There are beautiful sunsets and sunrises here too. Utah -though so different when compared to Hawaii- has become a land of paradise for me too; even if it’s in the
As soon as I got to the floor one of the nurses pulled into a room to see an SVT. She said the ambulance would be bringing the patient in and this would be a good thing for me to see. At that moment I felt some my anxiety lessen. I was happy to see that the nurses wanted me to learn and see whatever I could. I loved it in the ER. I got to see a variety of cases that were new to me. The nurse I shadowed would explain everything to me when we left the room and if an emergency came in she would ask the other nurses if I could observe. I loved the way the staff worked together. A patient would come in and the primary nurse would be in the room and another nurse would be on the other side of the patient helping. Nursing is by far a career that takes teamwork and in the ER you could really see it. I like that in the ER you see all different cases and this helps keep your skills
