DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY
According to Merriam- Webster dictionary, Delegation is the act of empowering to act for another or it is the act of giving control, authority, a job or a duty to another person. This therefore infers that power has been given to someone to perform a particular role or duty. Thus a manager alone cannot carry out all the tasks assigned to him. In order to meet the goals, the manager should delegate authority.. Delegation of authority can be defined as subdivision of powers to the subordinates in order to achieve effective results.

In a scenario; if Mr Jack is given a task with adequate authority, and Mr Jack delegates this task to Mr Ken and asks him to ensure that task is done, responsibility then rest with Mr Ken but accountability still rest with Mr Jack. The top level management is most accountable. Being accountable means being inventive as the person will think beyond his scope of job. Accountability means being answerable for the end result. Importance of Delegation:

In the process of delegation, managers pass work to the subordinates so they are free to concentrate on other important matters. The main job of managers is to get the work done efficiently and by delegating the authorities and responsibilities, therefore managers can get the work done effectively and efficiently from the subordinates.
2. Employees’ Development:
As a result of delegation employees get more chances to use their capacities. It allows them to develop those skills which help them to perform multifaceted task. Delegation help in making better future by giving them chance to use their skills and gain

In Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, Judge Danforth, due to his misuse of privilege as a naïve dignitary, is the most villainous character in the play. This creates the tragedy in Salem because his ill-judgement and desire for power leads to the deaths of the accused citizens who in reality are innocent.
If members of the team are not committed to the issues of the team, then no one can be held accountable for the outcome. The leader of the team has the responsibility to lay out what is expected of each team member and the leader must hold that team member accountable for that outcome. Avoidance of accountability is also when team members can accept constructive criticism, he or she should not wear their feelings on their sleeves and must accept it when other members hold them accountable for the responsibility that was given to

Accountability defined as the responsibility of an individual in a position of an employee or student. In this section, I am going further to mention some situations and how does this situation demonstrate the responsibility that reflected from the dimensions of my personality, including conditions from communication, diversity awareness, decision-making and problem solving. First am going to point at some of my situation that I experienced as a student and then build it up to the situation that I faced in the work placement program as an employee.

Delegating tasks is one area that I must work on in my leadership skills. When a leader cannot delegate task appropriately, this can lead to their downfall. My action is to learn more of the reasons why I chose not to delegate tasks. When that piece is understood, I can then move forward in correcting and adjusting my delegating. The employee specialist along with the Vice President of Nursing give me projects where delegating is necessary. They both follow these projects closely and challenge my moves of when and what I delegate and to whom those tasks are delegated to. Attending a seminar on delegation is also in my action
Accountability in the workforce holds each employee responsible for his or her actions. This can include getting to work on time, maintaining a work schedule, and being able to fulfill the requirements of the job.
This class has enlightened me to many topics that make up the subject of organizational behavior. However, there is one topic that has gained my attention, and that is Autonomy. Autonomy gained my attention because it is when management lessens its controls on the way employees complete their tasks, sometimes even allowing employees to do their jobs without any supervision at all. Autonomy is interesting to me because it is breaking the traditional mindset of micromanaging and that it was the only way to improve productivity.

To compete in a global economy, organizations of all types are focusing on improving productivity, quality, and service. In each of these areas it is important to tap the talents of the available human resources in these organizations. Effective leaders must understand and depend on the interrelationship among organizational structure such as power, authority, influence and leadership. In addition how it abides in organizations and how it move others to accomplish the organization goals.
As a business person, should be responsible for himself by practicing compelling administration aptitudes. The one should know the procedure with a specific end goal to effectively execute the procedure. It's less demanding to maintain a strategic distance from errors when you know how to evaluate esteem and decide him next strides.
