I believe a lot of people have a pet dog, and most of the time people are wondering what they are thinking. The art of racing in the rain will be a really good choice for them, it is a fiction written by Garth Stein. Throughout the book, the author used an Irish terrier as the main character who talks about his life experience through the whole book. The dog’s name is Enzo, Denny is his master, who is another main character in the book, he works in an auto shop, but he really wants to be a professional racecar driver. Denny has a wife named Eve and Daughter Zoe, Enzo and Denny have overcome a lot of challenges together, which made Enzo a really special dog for Denny because he could understand Denny.
The story start with a sense of sad emotion,

Enzo is getting old and he cannot move, he is waiting for Denny to Come back. Soon He started to recall every single moment of his life, begin at the farm where he was born, and end at Italy when Denny won the championship and him reborn into a human after his “dog’s life”. Even though Enzo is a dog, but I still can find it a lot similar to me. Enzo is really sensitive to the environment and people’s emotion, for instance, he can feel Denny’s wife Eve does not like him that much when she first met him. Same as me, I can notice someone’s emotional changes maybe just in a really small action. One thing I want to point out is that the every single major turn in this story somehow has to do with the “Rain.” Rain played a major role in this book.
When Denny goes to a race, he seems to do extraordinary good in the rain, other than that most of the important cases also happened in the rain such as Eve’s funeral, when Annika trying to have sex with Denny. Another significant point is the book’s title is called The art of racing in the rain. I feel like Denny does everything well in the rain is because rain makes him calm. For example, at Eve’s funeral, Denny was not welcomed there. Eve’s brothers were being really rude to him and tried to blame that Denny had sex with a 15 years old girl. Denny was really mature and I am really impressed what he did after, he gives a hug to his daughter Zoe, and held her in the air then he told those guys that “tell me I like young girls.” In the race, Denny can do really well in the rain. The reason is that he changes his tire that works in the rain, while he is driving, his hands are really important. Later in the story Denny’s hands are always shaking because he got into some difficulties, he wants Zoe to live with him, but he cannot do anything about it, he is nervous. Rain made him confident and calm that he can use his hand well to control his car. Rain not only favored Denny, Enzo also liked rain. When there is little raining outside, Enzo always wants to take a walk outside because he likes to smell the sense of freshness. Without “rain” this special feature, this story will not be as
good. I really liked this book, if I have the chance to change some part of this amazing story, it would be the ending part. In the story, Enzo has said that after he reborn into a man in his next life, he will go shake Denny’s hand and tell him how talented he is, but in the ending Enzo did turn into a young boy and met Denny, Denny pet on Enzo’s head as he would pet Enzo as a dog, The ending will be a lot better if Enzo gives Denny a handshake rather than Denny pet his head. I loved this book because it is from a dog’s view, so I would recommend people that like pets to read this book, also people that like to spend time with family will also enjoy reading this book. I am pleased that I had a chance to read this book in my life, this book made my life better.
The movie begins with self-centered, materialistic Charlie Babbitt (Tom Cruise), learning the death of his father. To settle his dad’s estate, he and his business partner/girlfriend, Susanna (Valeria Golino) travel to his home town Cincinnati. While he was hoping to inherit all of his dad’s estate, all he got was a car and a collection of rosebushes that he simply has no use for. The remaining $3 million fortune was put into a trust for an unnamed beneficiary. Charlie demands to know the identity of the beneficiary and finds out that it is a mental hospital where his long-lost autistic brother, Raymond (Dustin Hoffman) resides with a caretaker, Dr. Bruner (Gerald R. Molen).
Barrel racing is categorized under the sport of rodeo and is most likely to be associated with the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association and the National Barrel Horse Association. The sport of rodeo also includes bull riding, team roping, and tie down roping and can be mostly associated with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Even though the sport of rodeo in mainly dominated by men, barrel racing is the biggest outlet for women to show their skills in such a male dominated sport.
The Art of Racing in the Rain is, by far, the best book I have ever read. The story takes place in Seattle, Washington. It is told completely through a dog’s eyes. This special dog, Enzo, is adopted from a small farm in Washington when he is just a puppy. His view of life is interesting; Enzo only has gestures. He cannot communicate like humans can. Life is very humble and simple through the eyes of a dog.
In the chapter the “Rainy River” of the novel The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien, O’Brien conveys a deep moral conflict between fleeing the war to go to Canada versus staying and fighting in a war that he does not support. O’Brien is an educated man, a full time law student at Harvard and a liberal person who sees war as a pointless activity for dimwitted, war hungry men. His status makes him naive to the fact that he will be drafted into the war and thus when he receives his draft notice, he is shocked. Furthermore, his anti-war sentiments are thoroughly projected, and he unravels into a moral dilemma between finding freedom in Canada or standing his ground and fighting. An image of a rainy river marking the border between Minnesota and Canada is representative of this chapter because it reflects O’Brien’s moral division between finding freedom in Canada or standing his ground and fighting in the Vietnam war.
The rain used in the beginning of the story symbolizes sadness. The drunk man thought Andy was drunk laying in the alley. But Andy was really stabbed. "The boy laying in the rain bleeding. He was 16 years old," (1). The rain symbolizes sadness, and it is sad when the drunk man is too drunk to help Andy. If the drunk man wasn't drunk and would've helped Andy it would've prevented murder. The sidewalk is a
When one reads The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, one will most likely only see the obvious parts of the story. They would see a story of a young boy who grew up too fast after he witnesses a horrific event in which he feels like he could have saved someone else. Once someone reads a book like How to Read Literature Like a Professor by Thomas Foster, they will realize that all of the parts have in the book, are there for a reason and have an almost unknown effect on the reader. The use of a quest, which is present in most books when travel occurs, gives The Kite Runner a climax, adding intrigue. Hosseini also used snow to show feelings throughout the story, along with violence, to move the story along. All of these elements were spoken

Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based on love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns them, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can help them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day.
Love has the power to do anything. Love can heal and love can hurt. Love is something that is indescribable and difficult to understand. Love is a feeling that cannot be accurately expressed by a word. In the poem “The Rain” by Robert Creeley, the experience of love is painted and explored through a metaphor. The speaker in the poem compares love to rain and he explains how he wants love to be like rain. Love is a beautiful concept and through the abstract comparison to rain a person is assisted in developing a concrete understanding of what love is. True beauty is illuminated by true love and vice versa. In other words, the beauty of love and all that it entails is something true.
A bond like no other exist between a man and his dog. In the book Spill Simmer Falter Wither, by Sara Baume, we follow the two main characters Ray, an introverted man, and his adopted dog One Eye. Both Ray and One Eye are the same in a lot of ways but are also different in many others. As we continue to study both Ray And One Eye we see why they are alike and unalike through their actions. One important point is, the happiness they bring to each other.
...o be correct. Hemingway uses rain as a sign of death, sadness or to give one of his characters the state of being afraid. The despair brought by rain, Frederic says „ good-bye to [Catherine], and then „[leaves] the hospital and walk[s] back to the hotel in the rain". The rain described as he walks home represents again a cleansing in which Tenente will be forced to start a whole new life now.
Love is part of human nature, everyone knows what it is, and feels it during some point in their life. But what is one willing to do for the ones they love? What are you willing to fight for? What are you willing to give up, all for the ones you love? Throughout the novel “The Art of Racing in the Rain” there are characters who are forced to make difficult decisions, such as Denny, and the Twins. But these decisions are driven by one thing: love. Throughout the novel, Denny is fighting for custody of his daughter, and he keeps fighting, because he loves her. The Twins on the other hand are trying to take her away from him, because they love her. Both sides are fighting for

If you can slow down your bike in shortest distance you have more time going faster. These are important things you need think about in a race are acceleration, steering and brakes. Make your own path in life, it is a dangerous one, but sometimes it is the risk that you have to take in order not to be stuck in the same rut for your entire life. Standing in rain like a bunch of cows perfectly describes how a crowd of people are going to conform and feed off of each other. We accept our miseries and the disasters that come upon us. It shows how intelligent the people are who paths down the road of disaster are following each other’s. They sit around and watch each other fail while trying to get ahead in life. There is no point in following behind the troop of people all you are going to do is follow in the mistakes that they make and watch the disasters occur. Wilson is trying to tell us in this quote "The average man is a conformist, accepting miseries and disasters with the stoicism of a cow standing in the rain" that we need to stop following the crowd, there is other options besides accepting your
