To be a good leader you must learn to take orders before you can ever hope to give them out. Every great leader in the military has been at some point in time the lowest or one of the lowest positions there is. That’s just how it is and for the ones who don’t understand that or think that they are above that will fail as the leader they should be. Taking and giving out orders isn’t just what a good leader should do, they should be a good listener as well. Listing to your subordinates is just something a good leader has to do to insure that everything moves smoothly and functions to the best it can. Setting the example for the subordinates and show them how it’s done. It is important to that the ones who are watching learn the good hobbits that you have years of experience while they are still in their leaning stage. Talking about your experience can a very helpful too as well. Talk about your past without showing off, let your subordinates understand how long you've been in and what you have achieved while you were there. Have a code of conduct or a rule book that you can point to which shows subordinates how to act, really make them fallow the army standards or really whatever branch you’re in. If you're working on a project, your goals and expectations should be clear from the beginning. Then your subordinates will be more motivated and not confused. It is preferable to have your goals down in written form or somewhere where they can see it, forcing them to take a mental note of what it is that they have to do isn’t a bad
