We live in an age of technology. Like it or not, technology is quickly changing the way people access information, communicate, and learn. So with this new tool in just about everyone’s hands, why shouldn’t schools use technology to provide better education to students'? Schools should keep in mind the type of technology, the future of human interactions, and the high quality of learning provided by tech. The world is ever becoming smaller thanks to technology.

We as a global community are approaching a fully technological world. We have access to information just in the palms of our hands which consequently, leads to new learning methods. Personally, I attend a school where pads are handed to each student. With this technological advantage, students are able to perform in ways undocumented before. Student-teacher relationship expanded greatly, allowing students to ask and receive help for all hours of the day. Due to the power of technology, there are a

plethora of ways to interact with students and teachers “giving educators,... Students, and parents and each other [a way to interact] in ways they never had before”(B). Students like me who thrive in the age of technology cannot fathom going to a school before a time where you can shoot a quick email. With Technology, learning has been all to new measures not only in the school I attend but all over the world.

Technology allows us to cross borders, giving us access information that would have taken years to get.

However not all technology is created equal. Developed countries reap the most benefits when it comes technology, with developing countries often playing catch up. But provided reasonable technology(tablets and computers) that can act as a shortcut and provide students higher education and provide different opportunities. By focusing on practical tech, “ling mak[ing] the laptops the key ingredient of the cake… it truly changes the way schools operate”(A). By having an immense amount of knowledge given to students, students can take an advantage of this; becoming the leader in their own success. This completely changes the school dynamic by having students be directly responsible for their education. The amount of accountability technology offers to students pressures students to take the wheel and stir themselves to

success.

It is completely understandable why people are against the introduction of technology in schools. After All, the internet is web filled with distractions like “glossy magazines, videotapes, CDs, etc.”(E). But we should not let technology’s multifaceted nature stop us accelerating the advancement of society. Many people believe that technology is poisonous, only bringing unproductivity and laziness in teenagers (B). But on the contrary, technology ushers in a new era of learning and connecting. Although the actions and methods drastically differ from previous generations, “the basic shape of the circuit is unchanged”.(E)
