One day I was skateboarding down the ramp. The gripping was peeling off and my front wheels hit it and almost broke one of my arms. The skate park is falling apart and this community needs to do something about it. Axpessually before someone gets hurt really bad. This community could have a lot safer and a lot more fun skate park. This skate park is to dangerous for a lot of people because of the gripping. Updating the park would take all that away and make it a lot safer. It would also encourage kids to get up off their couches and ride First, it would make the skate park safer. If anyone wrecks they will not have to worry about getting a tetanus shot. Everything up at the park is all rusted. Once the Bager Park gets an update, it will make
it smoother. The gripping on the equipment is peeling off everything which it is sticking up. Then, it would make it a little sturdier. Everything is very easy to move. People would not get hurt as frequent as they do now if the park equipment was not as efficient to move. Next, it would get kids off their couches. There would be more things to do. There are very few things to do at the skate park. It would make it safer for more than just skateboards. People could bring more than just skateboards. People would become more social. With an update on the park it would attract other people from other towns, So there would be more people at the park. A lot of people would become more active in this community. Yes, it would cost a lot of money to update the park, however, there is a solution. A solution would let the people of this community beside on what they on have done with the skate park. There is two ways you can approach this. One way is to just hold a vote on rather to keep the skate park or destroy it. The second way is to have them right what they think should be done with it. There would be a lot more people that would want to get out of there house and go to the park. There are a lot of people who do not know how to ride a skateboard, but a lot of people do know how to ride scooters. Which will work on that park just as well anything else. There are a lot of people who love skateboarding in this town. They do not want to go to the park because how out of shape the skate park is.
Another reason that scooters shouldn't be allowed at the skatepark is that the skatepark are getting overpopulated. A lot of things get more dangerous when they are busy. For example highways, streets and especially skateparks. You always hold your kids hand when they cross the street so why would you just let them free? Skateboards are like cars flying out and could hit you.
parks system is a great way to get away. If we continue to allow our parks to
Ever wonder why people have fears of height? People have been pondering this question for who knows how long, maybe since man was able to climb. The author John Tierney has a genuine way of looking at it. He even has an article about it called “Can a Playground Be Too Safe?” It explains that it has been scientifically proven that children who take healthy risks early in life are not as fearful as those who don't.Lake Stevens should build a risky playground because children can overcome fears.
During the 1950’s when skateboarding first got it’s legs it was a very popular activity to take part in during vacations to ocean side tourist attractions, or as an activity after surfing. Yet, by 1965, skateboarding had diminished in popularity completely, therefore almost every skateboard manufacturer went out of business. . During this time the only people who even wanted to skateboard were surfers who needed something to ride to practice their surfing while the waves were flat. Due to the fact that there were no skateboards being made or sold, those who wanted to skate had to take it upon them-selves to manufacture their own boards. Using any kind of scrap they could find to build a usable board out of, such as metal scrap pieces or old planks. These determined surfers had to unscrew the trucks and wheels off of roller skates and attach them to the bottom of their boards. And because these kids were from very poor families for the most part, and next to non had jobs of their own, they had to resort to taking the trucks and wheels off the roller skates secretly in the stores. Although.., the clay wheels th...
The result and the final decision court will depend on the laws of that state. While a majority of states has chosen to institute a rule where they hold amusement ride operators and owners to the standard of ordinary care in operating their rides, a growing minority of states, including Illinois, hold those same operators to the duty of utmost care. The importance of a consistent standard for roller coasters is imperative to raising the expectation of safety, thereby preventing many of the accidents that occur every
Have you ever felt stuck? Wherever you are, it’s the absolute last place you want to be. In the book Into the Wild, Chris McCandless feels stuck just like the average everyday person may feel. Chris finds his escape plan to the situation and feels he will free himself by going off to the wild. I agree with the author that Chris McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with many people very well, but he did seem somewhat incompetent, even though he survived for quite some time.
As skateboarding evolved, it was once something kids do in their free time, later became a prospering sport. This started many new changes to our local cities. “No skateboarding” signs are being posted places that skateboarders would go to practice. Architects are finding new ways to redesign structures like benches and handrails in the city, in order to lower the abundance of skateboarder in an area. All these changes have resulted in a good amount of money spent redoing everything to prevent skateboarding, but nothing is being done to give skateboarders a safe place to skate. For young teens whose only transportation is a skateboard, they can only travel so far, and skateparks are not close enough. To eliminate the amount of skateboarders in heavily populated areas, I propose that cities invest more money into building skateparks so skateboarders have a safe place to practice the sport.
The Turn of the Screw by Henry James has been the cause of many debates about whether or not the ghosts are real, or if this is a case of a woman with psychological disturbances causing her to fabricate the ghosts. The story is told in the first person narrative by the governess and is told only through her thoughts and perceptions, which makes it difficult to be certain that anything she says or sees is reliable. It starts out to be a simple ghost story, but as the story unfolds it becomes obvious that the governess has jumps to conclusions and makes wild assumptions without proof and that the supposed ghosts are products of her mental instability which was brought on by her love of her employer
The reasons for these signs are that so bystanders don’t get hurt but can a skateboard really hurt someone more than a hard ball moving 5 times faster than a skateboard. A baseball or a football has a better chance of hitting someone then a skateboard because people on skateboards can grab their board before it hits someone but the wind can change the movement of a ball and hit a window breaking it or hit someone in the head knocking them out. People tell skateboarders to go to a skatepark all time and that is why they put signs up to have them skate somewhere else. There really aren't enough skateparks that are close enough for most people to use so they go to skate spots but then people put these signs up and now they can't skateboard anywhere. Not only can skateboarders not skate in a lot of places but they also get labels on them just for the culture that skateboarding
Skate boarding is a popular sport amongst today’s modern teens; it provides them with a sport other than the conventional everyday sports as was mentioned earlier. If there was to be a skate park here in town it would give the local skaters a feeling of acceptance, as well as let them know that their talents do not go unheard. A park pacifically made for skaters would give the skate boarders of our community a sense of ownership, as well as pride for the park. I n conclusion, I think that the idea of a skate park would dramatically increase the acceptance of the skaters in the community. Along with this it would adequately relieve many of the undesired results that arise due to the lack of a skate park, in addition to this it would help skaters to use their amazing talents to prosper.
The grip tape is needed for a skater to maintain control over the board by the means and the uses of friction, Unforttmately grip tape helps wear at the ollie area (an area of the shoe that is just behind a person's smallest toe on the outer side of the foot) and the sole rapidly. Grip tape is necessary for street skating tricks (examples: ollies, kick flips, nose grinds and nollies) and ramp skating. If there was no grip tape vert skaters (skateboaders who skate on ramps) would lose control over their board easily, there by raising the risk of danger and serious accidents. Vert skating is already rather risky. Who needs more broken bones? Street skaters depend on their grip tape for special moves lik...
All these cons could be solved and worked around. There could be a fee placed if you do not follow the laws of the dog park. You could also have the dog park in a location that is not near too many residential homes. The community could have fund raisers to earn the money required to build the dog park instead of taking the money from
First, parking on campus needs improving. . Baton Rouge community college needs to expand their parking lot because it be complicated trying to find a parking spot on campus. With every new freshmen students that’s just coming out of high school is taking up most of the parking spaces. I believe parking passes should be free for students because students have to park sometimes in Mc Donald parking lot because they don’t have no other choice. Also there needs to be additional parking on campus and also for those that are visiting the campus. The parking lots have also plenty of pot holes that can damage student car and can cause a flat tire. If a student hit another student car it’s hard to find out who did it because there isn’t enough policemen out in the parking lots looking. Brittany
I would like to see the parking and traffic crunch on and around this campus eased. Unless a student arrives before 8 o'clock in the morning or in the afternoon, cruising the parking lots or streets for a place to park is routine. Even buying a parking sticker does not mean you will have the privilege of a space. Competition for spaces during the rush hours of 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. is cutthroat. Would-be parkers stake out sections of a parking row and sit in their cars hoping someone in their section will leave. The other ploy is to try and catch someone who is just walking back to their car in order to plead for that space. lf these tricks fail, the only thing left is to park far away on the street and walk.
Just as important as the tiny details of the park that were overlooked, if not more important, was the technical failures associated with human stupidity. When the park was designed, the humans controlling this aspect of the Park obviously didn't consider that there could be problems in the system.
