Sequence 30 (use first) – Oh how this fits me to a T. At my current job, I have to be well organized and on top of my job duties. Each day I go to several classrooms to provide in class support. With this job come many tasks. I feel like I always need to have a clear understanding of the instructions. This way all reports are correct and misinformation is not given to the school district. I do tend to find myself seeking praise from my superior. Not for my ego but because I doubt my abilities. So I think this one hit the nail on the head.
Precision 32(use first) –Oh wow how this is so true. At home, I like to read articles and research many different things for fun. My family jokes with me about being full of useless knowledge. They say

just ask Bethany she knows everything. I am teased by my family because they say when I meet someone I can get their whole life story just by talking to them. Therefore, yes I ask many questions and like to be accurate all the time. Confluent 25(use first) –I agree with this to some extent.
I am a rule follower and I do not take many risks. However, I do agree with the other points such as doing things in my own way, not doing things repeatedly, and seeing situations differently from others. I have phobia anxiety. Taking risks is extremely hard for me to do. I like to control the situation because of my fear of death. I have had a hard struggle with my anxiety since the age of thirteen. So in order to not have so much anxiety I tend to do things in a controlled way. This also makes me view things in different situations. Mostly because of being a control freak.
Technical 23- (use as needed) I agree with this completely. I typically find I work better with writing down things. The best way I study for tests or memorizing things is to repeatedly write it down. For, example I had to study a book to take a test. I went through that book and copied it word for word two or three times. This is just how studying works for me.
Being labeled a strong willed learner works for me. I see now that going to school online is the best solution for me. I can work alone; do things my way when it comes to projects and study using my own way. This survey opened my eyes to also see what needs to be changed about myself as well. Such as, learning to let go and not control the situation so much. Also, be more of a team
player.
The Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) may have its faults, but it is by far the most efficient option.
One of my studying techniques is to have one of my family members verbally assess me on the topic of examination based on information in my textbook for the given subject. This compares to what I have just learned because I sometimes alter the location of study during these sessions, such as one time in the dining room and one time in another room of the house. However, I would always stay on one subject for a long time, which may not have been a very good idea. Another studying technique that I used to have was studying the night before or the morning of the exam because I thought (with the influence of a girl from my fifth grade class) that the information would be easy to retain since it was so recently reviewed. This compares to the article since all of the material comes back to me, but is mostly forgotten long after I take the examination. This goes along with the scientific study mentioned in the article that students who had two studying sessions did exceptionally well on a test given right after the sessions, but gradually forgot the material (Carey, 2010). An additional studying condition I have is to do practice problems and tests on the material I will be tested on. This connects to the reading for the reason that I am being exposed to a variety of problems, which, according to the text, is a brilliant way to review. My studying habits will be adjusted to
The Taco Bell and KFC “micro brand” known as ZAK Family Foods is successful for three important reasons: a concept of family, a passion for progress, and a dedication to social responsibility. These three elements have evolved organically from the brand’s very beginnings. In 1979, Jerry Zakaras, now CEO and Franchisee of ZAK Family Foods, began his journey to support his family as a Restaurant General Manager for a Pizza Hut in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. His cooperation with those working with him in the restaurant expressed itself in a way that was very familiar; it was the restaurant family. His value for family was what motivated him to explore the restaurant world, and it was what opened the doors to his business success.
You’re a senior in college and you have a huge Chemistry exam coming your way. Studying for an exam can be very difficult to remember every little thing. Memory Mnemonics is a way of studying and remembering things. According to Patten “Using this system, verbal memory increased dramatically”. Patten, 1 ) It tells us that the Mnemonic system is inspiring and growing rapidly at the college level.
Do you ever look at the sky? When the sun makes a pink hue inof the sky and you think to yourself that nothing could go wrong. What if I told you that you could never see that great big ball of gas ever again? There is a story about a hero who saved the world. This is how it begins.
One behavior that I tend to exhibit is stress. I often worry about things, like the future, and anticipate on this going wrong often. “You think about how your choices and their consequences could affect you down the road.” (“My Virtual Life” Emerging Adulthood) “You’ve thought about the future some, and will probably be feeling worried the more you think about it.” (“My Virtual Life” Emerging Adulthood) I need to relax a little about things, and let life happen as it does. The majority of things that I worry about are beyond my control. This might serve as obstacles later in life because stress can lead to health problems. A lifetime of stress can hurt your heart and blood pressure, along with other things.
The different types of techniques we learned had helped improve our studying ways to be better and more efficient. One of my studying techniques is through body movement. I learn through body movement to help me retain most of the information I took from my classes. This helps benefits my grade by if a test is coming up, I know the study techniques I need to apply. However, I have to manage time through the day in order for me to study.
A psychological assessment places each person into one of eight risk types based on those characteristics of their personality that influence risk taking behaviour. Once your risk type has developed, it is believed that it remains stable throughout your life. However, in each particular situation, people decide on taking that particular risk based on their experience and knowledge. The risk type compass has been tested across more than 7,000 individuals. The eight Risk Types are as follows: 1.
The next teaching principal to jump out at me was in habit three, Put First Things First. As I began to read and look at the four quadrants it was very easy to see where I fell. Well, if I am honest with myself I suppose I should say I walked, right into quadrant 1. My life is one big urgent, “need it now” issue after another. I am bombarde...
I've been memorizing for over seventeen years now and there's no stopping point in sight. In fact, my mind has become keener, more logical, more able to assimilate data than ever before. It carries over into everything—my work, my home, and my hobbies.
Two of the most important study skills are setting goals and taking notes. A student may set a time goal, such as studying a few hours a week; set a general goal, such as trying to study hard and stay on schedule; set a specific performance goal, such as getting at least 80% of the homework problems correct. Another important study skill is taking notes. Students generally make two kinds of mistakes in taking notes. One is to try to write down everything the instructor says, which leads to confusing notes. The other is to copy concepts that they do not understand but hope to learn by memorization. Good notes are compromised of the following: 1) written information summarized in your own words; 2) outline the important concepts; 3) try to associate the lecture notes with the material text; 4) asking yourself questions and making up questions from the notes.
I also identify what are my learners strengths and weaknesses by using assessments
The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People is a book written by Stephen Covey. In the book he writes about seven habits that highly effective people have. The seven habits of highly effective people are: be proactive, begin with the end in mind, put first things first, think win-win, seek first to understand then to be understood, synergize, and sharpen the saw.
These traits have helped me to accomplish many career and educational goals as well as helped me to develop long lasting relationships that have sustained me up until the last year. It seems that hard work and determination are essential in accomplishing almost any goal that a leader sets their sights on. It is my hope that these characteristics will help me to persevere through the difficult times that life and school will thrust upon me. Thus I hope to use my strengths to help me steer the course of my educational and personal goals thus learning how to lead others and myself through turbulent times with grace and dignity. Consequently, my biggest weaknesses and hindrances in leading myself and others are my stubbornness and hesitation to recognize when I am wrong. Good leaders need to know when to admit they are wrong thus allowing them to reevaluate the situation and ask for help if needed. It seems that effective leaders know where their weaknesses lie and can ask for help when needed. This helps them to effectively achieve tasks leading towards long term goals because they know what they can and cannot do. I tend to be a control freak and want to do everything myself, and this is not an effective way to lead. I will need to learn to trust and rely on others to pull
Typing notes instead of writing them out is better. Most people like myself can type a lot faster than they can write. This way when your taking notes, you dont miss anything the teacher has said. Also when you type notes you mostly like wont miss spell word because of your autocorrect.
