It's a strange world. Some people don't need to make any effort to feel happy about themselves all the time, while others never quite enjoy what they see in the mirror under any circumstance. Why is that? What are the psychological factors at play? If you analyze these questions and reach the inevitable logical conclusion, you'll realize that the only thing preventing someone from being happy is nothing. Literally nothing. It's worthwhile to explore the subject and see where it leads to debunk some misconceptions about happiness. Obviously, people are not all the same, but everyone can agree that everything is secondary to how you genuinely feel about yourself. Because without the right mental framework to be happy with yourself, your life Where to go from here? Now that you've spent all the fuel that kept you going, you don't have anything else to look up to. Ennui begins to set in, and you'll start mulling over things that shouldn't be mulled over. The feeling of a stagnant life is a very common occurrence in the lives of those who have everything. They have nowhere to go, nothing moves them. And, little by little, their happiness begins to fade away because in their stagnation they are swarmed by the feeling that there's nothing interesting at all about life. Life begins to look like nothing but a pointless struggle. Boring child play in the dark void of purposeless existence. Existential crisis is pretty common at this extreme stage of pseudo-fulfillment. So make sure that you have something that keeps you interested and moving forward in life. It doesn't matter what it is nor how you could achieve it; the important thing is to have something to fight for. Got that job you always wanted at your favorite company? Rewrite your priorities and find something else to push you forward. Find new interests. Explore hidden talents. Or develop new areas of Nor on whatever flaws they might recognize in themselves, or how they compare to others on some arbitrary metric. Too much self-consciousness or low self-esteem can be degrading and get in the way of happiness.
