Logos is a major factor when writing the plot of any mystery story. “The logic you use as an author or composer also significant when you tell a story. Usually follows a pattern in which the plot and characters unfold in a logical manner to the reader.”In some instances the detective, or person trying to solve the mystery is an average person. The story is laid out so that you know what they know and if you are smart enough, you can solve the mystery as quick, or even before it is revealed, without reading the end. My boyfriend is quite good at this when watching one of my favorite shows, Bones. It is a type of mystery where the story gradually unfolds and the big reveal is shown at the end tying it all together. Quite often I have to tell him to keep it to himself so I can watch the story unfold. In some instances mysteries are derived from real
Hitcock states, "Every maker of mystery movies aims at getting the audience on the edge of their seats. The ingredient to keep them there is called "suspense." Producers cry for it, writers cry in agony to get it, and actors cry for joy when they do get it. I've often been asked
In the novel The Stranger by Albert Camus, the narrator’s monotonous tone makes the reader experience a lack of emotion and feeling. The novel starts off describing Mersault’s current job and how he must go on leave in order to attend his mother’s funeral. He and his mother have been disconnected for some time as they had come to a mutual agreement with her staying in an elderly home. Mersault, the main protagonist, did not have the money or time to tend to his mother. The elderly home was the best option for the both of them. When he returns home from the funeral, Mersault gets caught up in external affairs he should not be in. He ends up writing a break up letter to Raymond’s girlfriend, which drives the rest of the story. Raymond beats his

Mystery stories capture our attention and makes us strive to find out and understand the story and this is why we keep coming back to them.
Romeo and Juliet and The Outsiders Argumentative Essay The scared and bewildered look coming off of Johnny’s face, and the repentance and sorrow of Romeo. These were some of the unaccustomed feelings that not only the characters felt after they had just brutally murdered someone, but the audience felt as well. If only Romeo or Johnny knew what their future was going to be like, they could have saved themselves from the tragedy. Johnny is a character from a young adult fiction novel, The Outsiders, that took place in the mid-1960’s.

I. Marlene King’s Pretty Little Liars (PLL) has been airing on ABC Family since June 2010 and is one of the most crowd-pleasing shows on social media. The teen mystery drama is based on the popular novels written by Sara Shepard and follows four high school girls; Aria, Hanna, Emily and Spencer living in fear of the unrevealed “A”. Given that PLL is the top rated show amongst female millennials, keeping their Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest accounts updated is key. Social media is an effective and cost-efficient way to distribute information to different networks and audiences of all sizes (Ciprian, 2015, p. 96). Understanding the relevance of photos, videos and other social media support can make or break a show. Actress Troian Bellisario who plays Spencer admitted that: “Pretty Little Liars exists because of social media” (Zemler, 2016). With over twenty two million combined followers, PLL definitely masters the art of social hype.
The Stranger by Albert Camus constructs the book to a unique and new interpretive perspective. Having the story develop in first person perspective advances the story in a new way that could not be seen without the first person perspective. The stranger without the first person perspective portrays Meursault’s life in a particular view that does not show the whole story of what is surrounding Meursault throughout his life. The decisions, and plot developments would not reflect who Meursault truly is, if the first person perspective was not present in The Stranger. An illustration of applying first person perspective in Meursault’s life would present who truly Meursault is as a person. Discovering the ideas, life choices as who Meursault
What do shows Spongebob Squarepants, Orange is the New Black, Scandal all have in common? They all possess extremely vast audiences and loyal viewership that they are referred to as having a “cult following.” These shows have influenced today’s pop culture and formed the way audiences expect to receive forthcoming media products. This essay will explore how Netflix’s new series Stranger Things’ production and distribution lead to new and innovative exhibition practices, how their integrated advertising helped create a new wave of cult followers, and lastly, how it’s popularity makes it a cult classic.
Camus demonstrates that the world of The Stranger is irrational by excluding from the text any logical explanation for the events of the novel. Meursault’s murder of the Arab is the most obvious example of an event that occurs for no apparent reason. Meursault has no reason to kill the Arab, nor does he construct one. His action is completely random and purposeless. Another occurrence that holds no rational meaning is Thomas Perez’s exhaustion at the funeral. Perez, possibly the only person who really cares about Madame Meursault’s death, ironically cannot move quickly enough to stay with her coffin. His inability to keep up with the funeral procession—to act in accordance with his feelings—frustrates him to the point of tears. A third inexplicable
We meet strangers everywhere we go. They come from all walks of life. We can choose to ignore them or to talk to them. I have judged people based on the way they walk, talk, dress or the way they approached me. These judgments tend to stick with me even if I find out who they really are. I don 't think it is right to get judgmental when I first approach a person. I feel so bad when I find out who they really are isn 't who I thought they were. It just seems to happen so naturally. I guess it is just human nature. I can relate this to my senior high school days. Most of the judgments I made about people never helped me because it got me into bad company. In a short story ‘Strangers’, a stranger hurt and lied to Toni Morrison about who she was. She was really hurt by the stranger because she had misjudged her about who she was. She did not expect a woman, who looked so humble, would do such a thing. I can relate to her story because I also misjudged someone and ended up getting hurt.
Pakistan and America have one of the strangest allies. It is a delicate relationship built on paying big bucks for protection and security. “For instance, U.S. lawmakers should not be surprised that billions of dollars in development assistance over the past decade failed to win Pakistani “hearts and minds,”” (Markey, 2) Pakistan is a friend to the United States to the extent that they keep the lid on the box of nuclear armaments. The Cartoon in in the Unworthy Ally article on page two really does depict the strangeness of this relationship.
This creates a lot of opportunity for the creators and authors of mystery to manipulate the story. This allows other genres to be added into a mystery story such as crimes and detective. These there genre of mystery, crime, and detective seamlessly blend in with each other making the mystery genre even more impressive. The concepts being so similar are the reason why we are able to have other genre blend in with the mystery genre. The all involve a problem or situation that needs to be solved by usually the main character. They all end up trying to find answers and fit together the pieces, which all just ties back to the mystery
A bystander is a person who is present and overlooks an event but takes no part within it. If someone was to be lying on a sidewalk unconscious and another person walked by and ignores the fact that there is a human being lying passed out in front of them, it makes them a bystander. However, bystanders are present in many different varieties. A possible bystander could be someone who hears a conversation occurring about breaking into a house, if the person decides not to say anything and later the house gets broken into it makes them a bystander. A psychological study done by Bibb Latané and John Darley discovered that “…people are less likely to offer help when they are in a group than when they are alone” (Burkley). This discovery can be
Television has come a long way since it was first introduced. Originally, it was thought that the masses that watch television enjoyed the more simple shows that would tell you exactly what was going on from start to finish. In Steven Johnson’s article, “Watching TV Makes You Smarter”, Johnson argues that this is actually not the case. In fact, Johnson argues that much more people enjoy shows that involve multi threading, or multiple plots that are all connected.
