IG: In what area of your life are you off course? (Question 1)
ME: The area in my life that I was off course is my grade from last semester.
IG: Would you say more about that (Expansion)
ME: Well I had four classes, but I was focusing too much on working because of money. I could not spend enough time on school, so I got F on English 1A.
IG: What self-defeating thought patterns of yours may have contributed to this situation? (Question 2)
ME: I missed more college class than I should.
IG: Uh-huh.... (Silence)
ME: I tried to manage my time, but I sometimes have an overtime. So, I worked on my homework in the midnight. I have morning class, and I over slept almost everyday.
IG: That is awful. What different thoughts could you choose to get

So, I failed one of my class.
IG: What self-defeating emotional patterns of yours may have contributed to this situation? (Question 4)
ME: I get really frustrated when I missed the class.
IG: So, you just want to come to class on time?
ME: Well, not only that, but yes, I want to attend class on time. This is because if I missed the class, I have to study by myself, but I do not have time to study right now. That is why I want to attend the classes on time.
IG: That is true. So, what different emotions could you choose to get back on course? (Question 5)
ME: I could do the same thing I do in cooking. I live by myself, so I have to prepare my dinner by myself. When I cook dinner, I always choose what I want to eat. Then, I start cook something. I sometimes cook two different food same time. I can manage the work and school time, and I can work. My college degree is most important than my work. It is one of my best goal and I have to accomplish it.
IG: I see. So, what self-defeating behavior patterns of yours may have contributed to this situation? (Question

ME: I do not ask my teacher for help because she do not trust me. I always turn in assignment late and I never come to class on time. I guess I do not have trust myself and others. It is like I admitted that I give up to get bachelor degree.
IG: You seem frustrated that you can not solve the problem with out help. (Reflective)
ME: I guess I need help from somebody.
IG: What different behaviors could you choose to get back on course to your goal? (Question 7)
ME: I could ask my counselor to manage my classes. Also, when I do not have time to do a homework, I could write down on my calender. So, I can manage my time by myself.
IG: That is great idea. What limiting core beliefs of yours (about the world, other people, or yourself) may have led you to adopt the self-defeating patterns that we’ve been discussing? (Question 8)
ME: This conversation has made me realize that I had more time to focus on school. Maybe I do not believe myself, even thought I had time to study little bit. I thought that I tried my best, but I actually I did not. I was go easy on myself, and I did not followed my goal. So, I failed my English
I plan to work while I attend college. I believe this is so important because I can help with my living expenses and contribute toward my education. For years, I have been under my parents’ wings, and I would love to help them by financially giving back to them. Working in college will improve my education as well as my family’s finances, and I think that it is crucial. Working will make me want to study more and make better grades and it will prepare me for my

Finally, I learned how to be more responsible by myself. In my last classes, my teachers were technically always there to tell me step by step what to do and how to do my assignments. In a certain way, it made me kind of lazy and entirely dependent of my teachers. However in this course it was not like that; instead, my instructor just gave me the assignments, instructions, and deadlines, and I must write my essays and summited it on time. This absence of guide absolutely made me to react that it was time to me to do my assignments by myself, demonstrate what I know, and ask for help just whenever it is
My sixteen week class in English 111. I was really nervous about this class. Because English has never been my strong point. This class has hard, but fun all at the same time. I learn a lot from this class. Meanwhile, the first day of class you handed a paper with a question on it. “The first thing I want to say to you who are students is that you must not think of being here to receive an education; instead, you will do much better to think of being here to claim one.” Even though putting my all in what I have learned, claiming my education with hard work because using the skills of the meal plan, as we write to different audiences and learning to be a Critically thinker as I start becoming a critically-Literate Citizenship.
At one point I came to the conclusion that I’m either going to fail, go to summer school, or go to a school that I didn't want to attend. I felt so disappointed in myself because I knew that I could've done better. So then one day I told myself, “I can do this”. I then started to study more than I usually did, I turned in all of my missing work and my present work, and I also took an after school tutoring class
I believe I can balance my education with my professional work because of the flexibility I have at my work place in scheduling appointments. I plan on scheduling more appointments during the day thereby having more time to do my school work in the evening at home. Living with my parents, and not having anyone depending on me, will also give me more opportunity to focus on my school work.
At first, failure was none of my business: I did not really care how high or low my grades were. But when I suddenly experienced what failure was like, I did not like it one bit. In fact, a fear started to grow within me. It was like a hideous, chupacabra-like alien had landed on my territory and I felt I had to do everything to get rid of it. I studied mathematics very hard: harder than I ever had before. I studied how to divide 9 by 3 and 8 by 4, even if I so despised numbers to my very core. I did not like them because they made things abstract to me. Things which I knew became unknown w...
You always want to put your most important goals to be at the top of your schedule. I got a job before my junior year and it has impacted my schooling in many ways. I would work about four to five days a week and when one of those day are a school day I started to ignore my school work and focus more on being my greatest in the work environment. This did not work out for me, I started to fall behind in classes. When you take on a job, that job is to be made to work around your school schedule. There were many days I needed to stay after school for a test retake or just for some help. I thought that because I had a job now I couldn’t put my school first. I made this mistake many time. I took a Chemistry unit test and did not do so good on the test, the teacher had retakes the next following days after school. Of course I had to work all those days. I did not call off and stay after to retake the test. My choice to not take charge of my education, that poor grade stayed in the gradebook and further affected the overall

Perhaps the most important mental and spiritual principle ever discovered is that you become what you think about most of the time. Your outer world reflects your inner world. You can tell the inner condition of a person by looking at the outer conditions of his or her life. And it cannot be otherwise.
One of them was that I was on my journey with someone. I was on the journey with my boyfriend Dusty whom I have been with for four years. I am more like myself when I am with someone, especially Dusty, than when I am by myself. I do think that spending time with just yourself is a waste of time. You should just be out talking to people because who knows when that dreaded day of death will come. I think that you should just seize the moment and spend time with people. When I am by myself, I am quiet and withdrawn, but when I am with people, I talk up a storm and have a fun time just being me. I donÕt hold things back or try to act like someone IÕm not.
This lesson is designed to review and reinforce a few important concepts about plants (e.g. Needs, parts, sequence of planting) and to also guide the students through applying a few scientific inquiry (e.g. Making observations, experimentation, discussion, reflection, reporting results etc.). The students have previously planted corn and bean seeds and today’s lesson has provided the students a chance to see the results of the planted corn and bean seeds. Additionally, seeds have been planted under and growing under the following conditions: without water, and without soil. The students see the results of these seeds planted under these conditions for the past week. Two plants in particular have already been grown their growth has been
