A class trip to Aruba should be an unforgettable experience, something that the students will never forget. However, for class of 2005 at Mountain Brook High School, it will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. Natalee Ann Holloway was both blonde and beautiful. She was also very friendly and well known in her hometown. The class trip was supposed to be the best time of their life for some students, but it was also the end for another. May 29, 2005, seemed like an ordinary day of fun in the sun. “Holloway and a large group of students went to Carlos 'N Charlie's Nightclub in Oranjestad, Aruba,” (Federal Bureau of Investigation). After Carlos 'N Charlie's closed around 1:00 A.M. some students headed back to the Holiday Inn where they were staying, and others gathered at various area bars (Federal Bureau of Investigation). While these bars seemed like a very ordinary and fun place to hangout, predators lurked there.
The article “Leaving Omelas: Questions of Faith and Understanding,” by Jerre Collins, draws attention to the fact that the short story “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas,” by Ursula Le Guin, has not impacted Western thought despite its literary merit. Collins breaks his article down into three parts, the first explaining that he will “take this story as seriously as we are meant to take it” (525). Collins then goes over several highly descriptive sections of the story, which invite the reader to become part of the utopia that is Omelas. Collins states that when it comes to the state of the child and how it affects the citizens of Omelas the descriptions “may seem to be excessive and facetious” (527). But this is because Le Guin is using a
West Orange is a suburban township that’s located in central Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The district of West Orange is highly involved with the community, the safety of the citizens involved and try to interact with them as in activities too. Many residents/citizens move from different townships into West Orange because it’s considered as a safe environment especially, for good school standards for children. As in, when someone asks, “In what city do you live in?” and your response would be West Orange. In their opinion they would suggest it’s a good community to live in and especially how the Police Department and officers are highly involved within the community.
The township of Wayne has grown throughout the years and adapted to the challenges presented. However, the AvalonBay development plans to completely change Wayne negatively. The “U.S Newswire”, “AvalonBay in Wayne” and “Edgewater fire” all describe the poor history AvalonBay had in other towns and as a company. It 's poor construction method and unsafe working conditions have created destruction in other towns and now plan to make a move into Wayne, so I say go away AvalonBay.

This is the introduction to me, Anthony Martinez. I am a 14 year old freshman at Cesar Chavez High School. Most people don’t remember the first time they were conscious, but I do, it’s a vivid memory, I was conscious for the first time in my life in head start. I remember running down a field in the school and thinking of how great it looks. Soon after that, I switched to Alfred F. Garcia, since the school was closer to my house. I went to that school for about Kindergarten until 2nd grade, I moved houses, so I moved to Bernard Black. I only stayed there for one year though, since I didn’t like it that well. I went back to Alfred F. Garcia for my 3rd to 8th grade years. Those times were enjoyable but dull at times. That school
So, you think you really know about your friend? Well think again! Today’s interview with Leslie McFarlane proves differently. First, she is not as she appears to be and I have found that she is quite original and a unique person. Leslie was born on August 4, 2004; and her full name is Leslie Minerva McFarlane. She is currently in 7th grade and has a sister in 2nd grade. Leslie comes from a Latino family, but people may not know that she is also of Jamaican and German descent. As we discuss more about her wants and likes, Leslie would like to visit the Bahamas, because she loves to travel to the Caribbean. Her goals are to attend a good Catholic High School and excel into a good college. As I gathered more information about what Leslie likes
Good morning teachers, faculty, administrators, family, friends, and of course students. It is a great privilege to be standing here today and representing our class on our eighth grade Class Day. Can you believe it? Four years ago, most of us walked into this school as nervous as we were the first day of school. We were the tiny fifth graders, the youngest students in this middle school, not knowing where anything was and how to navigate the school. Now, those same four years later, we’re leaving this school behind to a whole new school being just as nervous as we were when we first arrived. It has been a long four years as well as a short four years. Long because of all the tests, quizzes, finals, and projects, but short because of the lifelong friendships, the lasting memories, and the truly interesting and amazing things we learned in-between. The Abington Heights Middle School is definitely a welcoming, fun, memorable, and great school that I will never forget. These four years spent with these wonderful classmates has been an extraordinary journey with many cherishable memories.
Overall, if Laertes and Ophelia did not experience the cognitive effects of life without their mother, their core issues would not be so toxic to their prosperity through life. In regard to Ophelia, if she had a mother figure to help her discover her place in the world and who could stand up against her brother and father’s pressures, maybe she could have developed her sense of self. If her mother was present to talk her through her rocky relationship with Hamlet, maybe Ophelia could have managed to walk away from a verbally abusive romance. If her low self esteem was less troubling in result of her mother’s love, it is possible that Ophelia could have held a stronger, less-obedient ground and allowed her to stay sane even through the obstacles
