This report is compiled as per the requirements of the course “Principles of Management” on the company, Shan Foods Private Limit, that is based on the interview with Miss Sarah Ilyas (Assistant H.R. Manager), Mr. Adil (), Mr. Muneer Ahmed (Assistant Finance Manager), and Mr.
Shan Foods Private Limited was established in 1981 in Karachi as a small cottage industry selling recipe mixes to cater the local public. Now this company stands as a foremost exporter of premium quality spices, recipe mixes, rice, pickles and desserts with products adding taste and flavors to meals across 65 countries of the world. Today Shan has its consumers in every nook and corner of Pakistan whose citizens are largely fond of the flavors, taste and colors its products have inculcated in the hearts of its customers.

Gantt Chart: a chart in which a series of horizontal lines shows the amount of work done or production completed in certain periods of time in relation to the amount planned for those periods. It is used for scheduling resources, including management system inputs such as human resources and machines.
Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT):is a network of project activities showing both the estimates of time necessary to complete each activity and the sequence of activity that must be followed.
Both of these techniques are used for Shan’s productions and other functions related activities.

This case study will address many issues facing Wawa in an attempt to make the store better able to meet and surpass consumer expectations. The first problem is the biggest problem that faces any retail business, shrinkage. Wawa food department receives food and then sells it. Because of universal food handling regulations as well as a commitment to consumer safety, Wawa will not sell any products that are out of code meaning past its expiration date and time.
