Personal Analysis My personality is hard to describe. It all can depend on the situation, but overall my core values stay the same. In this paper I will describe my personal analysis, which will include a self-assessment score of maximizer and satisficer, time management profile, and empowering others. I will also describe what my terminal values and instrumental values are. Then I will go through what my big five personality characteristics are and my MBTI personality profile. I will then describe my job posting assessment and, finally, my personal job fit analysis. Hopefully, by the end of this I will be able to recognize my strengths, weaknesses and values and have the ability to match my values to the type of values job postings are looking for. Terminal Values The freedom my parents gave me growing up and the freedom this country gives me every day lets me grow into the person I am today. I would be a drastically different person if I hadn’t been able to make decisions on my own. I believe I would be a lot more rebellious if I didn’t have so much freedom growing up. My parents trusted me to make good decisions, and if I did make bad decisions they believed that I would learn from them. I think that helped me become my own person and learn to be happy with my decisions, good or poor. Now skipping to the bottom of my list, the number 17 on my list was “wisdom: a mature understanding of life”. This value is still important to me, but I just don’t feel like I need to know everything or know a lot about life. I believe that if I follow God, then I will have all the wisdom I need. I do think wisdom is important for our world to keep excelling but I don’t believe that the world needs to have a mature understanding of life. Understanding life comes with time and in the end with the beliefs I have, I understand that I will go on to eternal life so I shouldn’t be caught up in this temporary world. All that being said, I
Everyone has their own personal values that the gain throughout their lives. Some of these values are passed down through the different generations of their family. Values can change over time and some people learn more values as they grow up. I personally have gained a range of different values in the past eighteen years of my life. My own values include: respect, honesty, empathy and trust. I gained the value of respect through my parents as I was always told to show respect to others and they would then show me respect back. When I was really young I had to respect other people’s things and their feelings. Through my parents I was brought up to believe that it is always better to be honest and tell the truth about everything. I feel that
I value equality above all, I believe that everyone is entitled to the same benefits, opportunities and treatment. I believe this value has come from being raised in a single parent family and witnessing first had some of the struggles my mother had in raising us and getting access to services. I can only begin to imagine how difficult things must be for families from lower socio-economic backgrounds and for people in isolated communities and nations. Coming from such a tightknit family, love is my second core value. When referring to love, I mean not only mature love with a partner, but love for family, friends and the entire human race. Respect is another of my core values, McAuliffe (2014, p.3) suggests that respect encompasses a variety of aspects such as treating someone well, allowing them to have autonomy, taking note of things affecting them, and acknowledging that they may hold different views to our own. This I something that I have learned mostly from my father who has demonstrated that every person is deserving of respect, he opened my eyes to so much more of the world and allowed me to realise that it is ok for people to have different views and that that does not make them any less of a person. I also place great value on being selfless, not completely selfless as we need to care for ourselves, but a significant amount of selflessness and caring for others. This is a value that I have seen in many members of my family, again, mostly from my father and the time and effort he has put into helping not only me, but friends, family, colleagues, and people he barely knows. Closely linked with selflessness, my final core value is compassion. My father not only showed selflessness with a range of people, but also compassion. The bases of this paper will be based on the results that I had obtained when I took the Myers-Briggs personality test. The results that I had obtained was that I was determined to be an ENFJ. I will go into depth about letter and how each represents that a specific aspect of my personality. The results that I had received were not what I had expected, but the more I read about the trait the more I realized how it suited me. I will also talk about the information that I had found useful from the book, Type Talk at Work: How the 16 Personalities Types Determine Your Success on the Job by Otto Kroeger, which gave me insight on how to interact with other personality types especially in the work environment. The information that I absorbed from the personality test and from the book will go into use in my personal and work life so that both environments will be cohesive and peaceful.

Everyone has a different personality that makes him/her unique. The tenth grade class at Presbyterian Christian School took an academic test and three personality test to discover potential future careers. ACT Incorporated developed the PLAN to show our estimated ACT score, and the possible careers we would do the best in. We also took three personality tests to discover our true personality. KRB Consulting Company made a test where we rate ourselves according the adjectives that best describe us. The second test we took was “The Colors of Careers”, given to us by the assistant to the president of Jones County Junior College, Gwen Magee. The final test we took was the “Jung Typology Test”. The purpose of this paper is to discover the differences in our personalities and the careers that follow our certain personality.

Erik Erikson composed a theory of psychological development that was composed of eight stages. Erikson’s theory focuses on how personalities evolve throughout life as a result of the interaction between biologically based maturation and the demands of society. According to Erikson, “Each stage of human development presents its characteristic crises. According to the study of this course, I have learned many useful management skills and I feel like these skills will be applied to my future career development. When working on the self- assessment tests, I found myself fall into the category of the ISTJ personality types, which as illustrated by Myers Briggs, is the type of personality that is conscientious, considerate, and helpful. Personality traits such as honest, dutiful, practical and responsible are my strengths; personality traits such as stubborn, insensitive and poor communication skill are my weaknesses. Related to the knowledge I have learned in the course I believe both strengths and weakness will have influence to my future career development. The many principles that my parents have taught me is to be outgoing, but most importantly an educated person, for allowing me to become what I am today, a respectful mature young lady.
Winston Churchill once said “The price of greatness is responsibility.” I personally find that very true! As a young lady in the south with age come responsibility even if you are ready for it or not! I had to learn that, the thing that my parents, teachers, and family are teaching me will carry me through life. And the being responsible, staying true to my word and keep a strong relationship with god are things that will help mold me into a better person later in life. Pushing towards greatness is something I feel every person, young and old.
The second value that my parents have taught me is respect. They taught me to treat others with respect and to treat others the way you want to be treated. This shaped my life in tremendous ways. It made me learn how to have manners and kept me out of trouble as a kid. If I was respectful to my teachers and friends then I would grow up to be well mannered. This ended up in me respecting my country by being patriotic.
