My Science fair topic is on Alka-Seltzer Tablets and its reaction time based on its particle sizes. My independent and Dependent Variables include reaction time and particle size. There are many advertisements on Alka-Seltzer Tablets for pain relief, colds and heart burns. When a single tablet is dropped into water its fizzes up making it look like a soda. In reality theses bubbles are carbon dioxide gases, and this is just a chemical reaction. These tablets have Aspirin which is a pain reliever and it's reacts when H2O is present. Sodium Bicarbonate is also an ingredient in these tablets , when mixed with water it splits into sodium bicarbonates. The Carbon dioxide gas bubbles is just a product or a substance produced after
The purpose for this lab was to use aluminum from a soda can to form a chemical compound known as hydrated potassium aluminum sulfate. In the lab aluminum waste were dissolved in KOH or potassium sulfide to form a complex alum. The solution was then filtered through gravity filtration to remove any solid material. 25 mLs of sulfuric acid was then added while gently boiling the solution resulting in crystals forming after cooling in an ice bath. The product was then collected and filter through vacuum filtration. Lastly, crystals were collected and weighed on a scale.
Attention: The commercial grabs the viewers’ attention because the viewer will want to know which product works faster to remove unwanted stains. It also uses music and a little humor.

A: The reaction with water and vinegar was the most useful in this experiment. The physical properties were very self explanatory because the texture of the powders was all different expect icing sugar and cornstarch. As all the graphs contained outliers, and hence, scatter, this indicates that random errors were present. Such errors may result from the inconsistent masses of the Alka Seltzer tablets. As these tablets were cut manually with a knife, it is unlikely that the mass of each half of an Alka Seltzer tablet would be the same. Thus, when using the tablets to react with HCl, the true number of tablets reacting would have not been the same as the number denoted for the trial, and with each repeated trial for the same number of tablets reacting, the reacting mass and ratio would have not been inconsistent. The input variable that I will change is temperature. The output variable will be measured by the time it takes for the Alka-Seltzer tablets to dissolve.
Investigating the Effect of Concentration on the Rate of Diffusion Aim: To find out if concentration affects the rate of diffusion. Prediction: I predict that the higher the concentration of acid the faster the reaction will be. Hypothesis: Diffusion is the spreading out of a gas or liquid from an area of low concentration to another area where it has a lower concentration until the overall concentrations are balanced. The Hydrochloric acid (HCl) diffuses into the gelatine cube of which contains Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), which is an alkali. When the Hydrochloric acid combines with the Sodium Hydroxide they form salt and water, which is neutral therefore turning the pink cube to clear.

Running is something not many people like doing because they run out of energy very quickly and end up giving up but running is a good way to healthier and stronger. Many questions have been asked about how to get a boost of energy to run longer distances and a bit faster. Many of the answers have lead down to energy drinks and electrolytes. Gatorade is a fruit-flavored drink especially for athletes, designed to supply the body with carbohydrates and to replace fluids and sodium lost during exercise (Gatorade Dictionary.com) and is a good example of one of the energy boosters that have been said but are also said to be a myth.
