A Comparison of Two Car Advertisements: Ford Focus and Renault Megane
Advertising is a way of life and like it or not advertisements are
going no where. What ever you do there will be some kind of
advertising near by. For example, listening to the radio on the way to
work is a way of advertising as advertisers use the radio as a common
way to advertise. Some people take notice of these advertisements
where as others believe they should be scrapped. In this essay I am
going to compare to recent car adverts. They are completely different
yet trying to give out the same signal, buy our car.
The target audience in any advert is essential because advertising at
the wrong age group could result in the advert being a waste of time
as knows one will take notice of it. The Ford Focus advert is aimed at
middle aged people and above. This is shown as the idea of the advert
is a car which is peaceful when in the car. On the other hand the
Renault is focusing their advert at young drivers or anybody who wants
to feel young and sexy. This is shown as the advert is all about
‘shaking that ass’. This show straight away the adverts are completely
different and this Focus continues throughout the adverts.
The location of the advert is also very important as if you chose the
wrong setting for the advert then the audience may not fully
understand the idea of the advert. The Ford Focus advert is set in a
car garage to show everything is in control. On the other hand the
Renault advert is set in a foreign city. This is shown with the types
of housing and roads. This also shows the continuous showing of the
difference between the adverts. Also the diff...

This is a common trend with each detail s if it keeps referring back
to its age group then it helps them make the advert make successful.
Overall I believe the Renault Megane is a more successful advert. I
believe this because younger people who have just pasted their test or
like to upgrade their car are more likely to spend money on buying the
car. On the other hand middle aged people and older tend to have a car
and most people wouldn’t buy a new car unless they needed one.
Both adverts succeed in the point they are putting across. Therefore
both adverts are successful in the way of what they are saying. On the
other hand one advert is more successful in the amount of sales that
were made due to the advert. I believe it was the Renault put it may
be the Focus.
realistic. It is also a way to let the audience focus on the shape and
design made the car very strong and durable that is one main reason you see many
The rhetorical appeal, ethos, also has an effect on the images’ message. Your advertisement is endorsed by an activist website called thetruth.com. It is a well-known website dedicated to exposing the truth of big tobacco companies and “inspiring action in the fight to end smoking.” This support validates your advertisement and assures your audience you are a credible source worth listening
Typically, when a commercial is made, it is made for a specific audience. However, with Maserati’s 2014 Ghibi commercial, the audience could be multiple people, anyone really. The high price of the car would appeal to an audience that can afford a price like that, but the other factors of the commercial appealed to all kinds of audiences. The hard working people in the commercial helped widen the audience and relate to more people, just as the young girl did talking in the dramatic
I think that the target audience for these cars is the same. these cars are family cars. Both of the cars are designed to be comfortable and safe, they are not advertised to be fast sports cars. or stylish city cars; they are advertised as normal cars. In both of the adverts there is no real reference towards the performance of the car apart from in the Chrysler where there is a reference to the fuel.
A Comparison of Two Advertisements Introduction Advertising and media are part of everybody’s everyday life, with or without them realizing. Each day we see adverts on the television showing us new lifestyles that look glamorous, we hear adverts on the radio, we see slogans emblazoned on people’s clothes, on the side of buses, on billboards, everywhere!! Big companies know that they need to make their product appeal to as many ‘niche markets’ as possible and they do this by ‘audience segmentation’. This is when companies make an advert so that it would appeal to one type of person, and then another advert for the same product but for a different type of person. Although it is hard to know exactly when there target audience will be watching, companies will spend lots of money researching.
Comparing and Contrasting a Magazine Advertisement with a Television Advertisement In our day to day lives we are surrounded with advertising, all be it Bill boards Television, Magazines and various other kinds of media which advertises. All of which are predominantly trying to influence us enough to get a sale of their product. Advertising surrounds us in many forms, whether we’re walking up a street and there are billboards, driving in the car and the radio is on, reading the news, finding out the gossip in our magazines, watching our favourite soap, surfing the net, and now even picking up our mobile phones and finding we are subjected to advertising. There is always a target audience which is generally divided into categories like the following, younger children, teenagers, young women and men (18 to 25 years) older women, older men, businessmen and women, social groups, there is obviously no set category.. The types of adverts that are the most effective are those that leave a lasting impression.
Dynasty was the most frustratingly long, pointless show that I have ever watched. The theme song itself seemed to endlessly prolong for like fifteen minutes. The program consisted of three elements- an overly pretentious cast, an ostentatious display of wealth, and excessively dramatized minor conflicts. I have no idea why the show was so popular because it had no substance. Not a single character in their entire ensemble of a cast was likeable. Krystal, the outsider in the Carrington family, epitomized the stereotypical gold digger that just marries for money and has a secret affair with her actual lover, Matthew Blaisdel. Oil tycoon, Blake Carrington, shows no affection for his new wife, except for showering her with gifts like diamond earrings,

Inside of a car there are a lot of parts. A number of independent and yet interrelated systems are required to make an automobile of even the simplest and least sophisticated type. An engine and transmission are required to make it go. Brakes have to be incorporated to a retarding force. Steering and suspension are needed to take this vehicles around corners and and over bumps, and lights must be equipped to satisfy the demands of the law as well as to aid night time driving. These systems are all united within one shell. known as the body, which to many pe...

A second point which favours the car is comfort. You can control the temperature, listen to the radio etc. And you always get a seat!
