Marketing skills are useful in every field and business to some degree(I’m not sure that you need to add, “to some degree.” It’s a good statement, but I’m not a marketing person;]). Every product or service offered needs some form of marketing to be successful and gain a customer base. From grocery stores and product management, to photographers, hairdressers, and lawyers, to social media marketing, marketing has a place everywhere you turn.
My degree will be an Associate’s in Business Marketing. With this degree, I intend to pursue either a social media marketer position, or perhaps a marketing specialist, or even manager position. (3 sentences to make a paragraph.)
When a person mentions marketing, my first thoughts used to be limited to social media (Facebook, Twitter), mailers (postcards, flyers), coupons, radio ads, newspapers, and other ways of advertising. I now know just how much more intricate marketing can be. Marketing is much more than just getting the word out about a product or service. Marketing is complex in that there are many factors to consider and many different avenues to pursue. One has to have a marketing concept, that is, a desire to satisfy the customer’s needs

It would be delightful to work with either a bookstore (ie: Barnes and Noble) or for an organic company such as Nourish Organic. These are both the types of companies that I am passionate about and would want to work for to share my passion. Personally, I would like to be in charge of making a marketing strategy for sharing the products with as many people as possible. Setting in motion a plan for a book signing with a well-known famous author, or arranging for a new author to be interviewed would be very rewarding! Implementing a plan to reach people about their health and wellness by using natural and organic products would also be very rewarding for me

Marketing In this day and age is vital for a company to perform at its possible best. Marketing’s main focus is to give great satisfaction to a customer. There are many aspect of marketing, these aspects give marketer’s the tools to help strive for the best possible success they can achieve. They hope that they can create exposure for their brand, product or service.
Marketing is the process of searching for options for accumulating profits by identifying the demands of the people and satisfying their needs with appropriate products. In today’s globalized business world, marketing can play a vital role in establishing trade blocks all over the globe with competitive and cutting edge market, research, policies, strategies and activities.
Marketing is a process of determining a consumer’s needs, devising a product or service to satisfy those needs, and trying to focus customers on the goods and services you are offering. Marketing is extremely important, and a fundamental building block for business growth. A marketing team is given the task of creating customer awareness through a variety of different marketing techniques. If a business does not pay close attention to their consumer demographic and needs, they will eventually fail over time. Two important aspects of marketing include acquiring new customers, and the preservation and growth of relationships with current customers. Marketing has always been viewed as a creative outlet, which encompassed advertising, distribution, and the selling of goods and services. Marketing staff will also try to anticipate what customers will want in the future, often being accomplished with market research. In summation, a good marketing plan should be able to create a favorable proposition or series of benefits that a customer can value through goods or services. The marketing mix is normally described as the strategic positioning of a product or service in the marketplace, using the specification of the four Ps. During the early 1960’s, Professor E. Jerome McCarthy of Harvard Business School stated that a marketing mix contains four elements. The four key points are product, pricing, promotion, and placement. It is recognized that all these aspects must be present to ensure a successful business model within a given industry. We will now take a thorough look at the four marketing mix points.

Perhaps the most alluring aspect of a career in marketing is the fact that it provides a great number and variety of job opportunities, and can offer opportunities to both number crunchers as well as intuitive creative people as well.

To be offered a good job with a big name branded company, most sales manager will have to have a bachelor’s degree in business and 1 -5 years’ experience with a sales team. A sales manager position is a fun, exciting job with a variety of different responsibilities.
Marketing is a vital component in the success of businesses. Smaller businesses rely on business advertising, expenses, knowing if the business is networking with the right people, or joining the best organisations that lead to success (EStartup business blog, 2010). Marketing concentrates on customers and what the customers want. Customers are the source of sales and profits. Many small businesses are faced with remarkable hardships due to not developing the right marketing plan (EStartup business blog, 2010).
In this paper I will define marketing in my own words and also research what the definition is using two different sources. While supporting my answers with three examples from the business world, I will show the importance of marketing. Before taking this course, marketing was all about product and the promotion of that product. I took a marketing course during my undergrad about 7 years ago that emphasized the 4 P’s. Building a strategy around promoting a product and/or service seemed to be the most fundamental concept of marketing to me. My narrow thinking soon changed after going into the workforce and after taking this course. Marketing is more than just telling potential and current consumers about your products and why they should buy it. Marketing truly encompasses all areas of business. A great marketing strategy needs to focus on all the new strategic marketing elements of positioning, product, logistics, price, integrated marketing communications, and service. It’s
