9/11 Explanatory Essay
Have you ever heard of 9/11, or wondered what went on? To begin with, the day of 9/11 was a serious attack on the United States of America in 2001 which took out the marvelous Twin Towers while also damaging the Pentagon. On this day, the trust and will of the patriots of this country were tested by extremists. Despite the fact of an outrageous attack, the country stood strong against the power that opposed them. No matter the problem, our country rebuilt itself along the way with will, bravery, and help of others. In the following statements, I will review some of the important details on that day in which include the numerous casualties, expensive levies, and the extreme terrorists responsible for this invasion.

First off, one of the important parts of the event in which I would like to commune about is the outrageous amount of casualties these extremists caused.

As a result of this attack, over 3,000 people have been killed by the attack. But, this statistic is only a fracture of the amount that were injured by this attack. Over 6,000 people were hospitalized by this horrible attack. But, a little under 10,000 were affected, including the 6,000 hospitalized and the 3,000 victims, such as by not being able to go to work, home, etc. Although, these victims were not regular people, they had families at home. Most of the ones who died had many children. A whole 3,051 children had lost at least one parent over the course of the attack. Overall, there were plenty of different, horrible casualties on this day of 9/11 that changed many lives

forever.
Next, I would like to review another large subject on 9/11 which is the fee of this destruction. To begin with, Al Qaeda, the terrorist group responsible, spent around $500,000 to destroy the World Trade Center and damage the Pentagon, but how much did we have to pay? In a survey conducted by New York Times, the United States spent roughly $3.3 trillion for the cost of the damage which also simplifies down to about $7 million for every dollar Al Qaeda spent on materials, plans, and weapons. At least $105 billion was lost in the New York City economy and $600 million for the cleanup. Although not too much of a help, 9/11 charities had given them over $1.4 billion to help with whatever they needed it for. This abundant amount of money equals to 1/5 of the United States’ debt they already had. Overall, this powerful blow on the United States’ economy was extremely too expensive for the United States to pay off.
Lastly, the topic of the terrorists who did this extreme stunt were traced back to the group of Al Qaeda. Al-Qaeda is a global militant Islamist organization founded by Osama bin Laden, Abdullah Azzam, and several others. When Al Qaeda hijacked the plane, there were around 4 or 5 on each plane, but each of these men had a specific job. One of the hijackers was the pilot who flew the planes into the towers and the Pentagon. Before then, the rest of the others were “muscle hijackers” who would subdue the pilot, takeout the crew, and keep the passengers down. Only 19 of them were on the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers, 15 of the 19 were from Saudi Arabia. Although he was not there, Osama bin Laden was hunted down for orchestrating the attack and questioned until the government concluded that he was in on it after he denied but eventually admitted. In the end, Al Qaeda is an extreme terrorist group which caused all of the destruction of 9/11.
In conclusion, the information above was only a tiny portion of the details this day withholds. Although, the few subjects in which I thought were worthy of being detailed were the catastrophic casualties, expensive expenses, and the awfully awful attackers. As stated earlier, even despite the fate of these citizens danger, they stood strong against the terrorists and helped those in need. For example, there were four different planes, only 3 crashed into important structures. On this fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, the passengers retaliated against the hijackers and crashed the plane into a field within Pennsylvania. This shows the courage these people had even though they knew this wouldn’t end well. Overall, I hope that you feel the sympathy for this extreme attack on 9/11 along with that you have gained knowledge on the event. Now, did I answer the question at the beginning?
