I was drifting off to sleep when I heard a knock at the door. I unlocked the door and opened it, only to find a masked man standing before me. Suddenly, a punch was thrown at me, and I fell to the ground. My vision started to blur and I started to lose consciousness. The darkness crept across my eyes slowly until everything was completely black.
As I regained my consciousness, my face was throbbing with pain and my nose was bleeding. I tried to clean the blood off my face, but realized my hands and legs were tied up. I sat upright and looked around me. My house was a mess; everything was either broken, or gone. . . . I had been robbed.

I felt extremely terrified and I was unsure of what to do. As soon as the intruder reached the bottom of the stairs, I charged at him, knocking him to the ground. In the spur of the moment, I grabbed a piece of razor-sharp glass and plunged it right into his neck. Blood started oozing out as his life slowly diminished.
My whole body was trembling with fear, as I slowly reached for my phone. I opened up the dial pad and I shakily pressed three numbers: 9-1-1. But . . . I thought of the rest of my life in prison and I closed my phone. I tried to think of another solution.
I made up my mind. I decided to hide the body. I dragged the body by the legs and put it in to the trunk of my car.
I waited until midnight and drove to a nearby forest. I unloaded the body, and I carried it into the depths of the woods. Finally, I buried it in a spot where it would never be found again.
Day after day, the guilt of murdering a man gnawed at me until there was nothing left. I was going insane! I couldn’t live with myself anymore. I drove over to a local police station, and as soon as I turned myself in, I started to regain my
