I woke up to another usual day, just this one was a little bit different. I woke up Buddy, my coinvestigator. Mason, our boss, had mailed us a letter.
Joe Franci had been murdered. He was one of the local convenience-store clerks. Everybody liked him. He was a friendly man, so it was very sad. It was not the usual murder mysteries Buddy and I worked on. We jumped in our carriage and started to go.
Paris is a very busy city. There are thousands of crimes every day. We are investigators. We get called into many different areas to solve mysteries.
Once we arrived to the murder scene, there were many people surrounding the store. There was yellow duct tape surrounding the store and police with spiked batons, guarding. It was crazy.

Paramedics had to take him to the hospital ASAP. Unfortunately, he passed away in the carriage. It was our job to find out what had happened to him.
We started our early morning with one of the witnesses. She was making breakfast at the time this happened, so she didn't witness all of it, but she said the murdered took off in the direction of the Seine River. We thanked her and took off.
We stopped at a high-end restaurant. We rushed eating, but we had a beautiful French lunch. We were as full as elephants once we left. We then went to see our next witness.
