It was summer hot and humid July but all was not well for homicide was in the air. Jeremy Ringquist had, after a divorce and begin unemployed, had taken up residence with his parents once again. Thirty-eight years of age Jeremy, was charged with the death of his parents and attempting to hide the bodies in a freezer. His mother was Karen Ringquist and his father Randy Ringquist. Karen was the jewel of the community, all loved her but the delicate flower was often stomped on. Randy Ringquist was an abusive, alcoholic, racist and savagely beat Karen, who could not leave him because of finical problems and not having any nearby family members. Things only got worse when Jeremy returned home. Jeremy had a fiery temper and often had a helping hand in tormenting his mother. In Randy’s eyes, Jeremy was constant disappointment. Randy hated his son and when Jeremy moved home, Randy made certain he knew it. After a heated debate on immigration, Randy told Jeremy he was a disappointment and that was the final straw. Jeremy in a fit of rage shot his mother and then Randy in …show more content…
the arm. Randy, while still injured, angrily told Jeremy that he had better finish him off. Jeremy then but the barrel of the pistil to his father’s head and pulled the trigger. After three weeks of keeping the bodies inside of the house, he heard of the neighbors’ complaints about a terrible smell and decided to fix it. Jeremy purchased a freezer and stashed the bodies in order to hide the smell. Mark Cestaric, a cousin of, had not spoken in some time and became suspicious.
Mark worried about his cousin considering that her son and husband had abusive tendencies and contacted the authorities. Officers checked the house twice and both times a note was on the front door of the house claiming the family was away. The police returned a third day and forced their way in. The police found the bodies of Randy and Karen Ringquist frozen in the freezer Jeremy had purchased to hide the smell of decay. Mark told the paper; “Karen and her husband didn’t get along. He was abusive to her. And then their son moved in and he was also abusive. He’s a 300 pound kid.” He continued with; “Her life was miserable and I tried to tell her to get out. I said ‘You’ve got to get out of there,’ but she said she had no money and no place to go. There’s no relatives close. I’m probably her closest
relative.” Jeremy, before the police had enter his home, had ingested thirty prescription sleeping pills, shot up on heroin and cut himself in an attempt at suicide. He had asked for a priest but before the request was made, he was discharged from the hospital. Some say this was his last attempt to make peace with his demons. At he hospital he drifted in and out of consciousness as the detectives questioned him. He thought he was in the hospital because he shot himself in the head. He told the detectives; “I’m at a loss. My father … he’s been a racist all my life. He’s mad about all the immigrants. I talked to him about that. It made him mad.” As the detectives, prodded he stated; “I made poor decisions. I did try to take his life, OK? I’m sorry for what I’ve done. It’s not what Ive been taught. … I screwed up real bad,” he also told them he had plans of getting in a shoot-out “with the cops” the same day he murder his parents. He was taken to jail immediately after being discharged from the hospital. Soon he committed suicide; two guards found him hanging from the ceiling of his cell.
Upon my arrival, I heard several people yelling at each other from outside of the door. As I entered the house, I notice a man standing next to the couch with blood on his hands and running down the side of the left temple. The man was then identified as Brandon Clodfelter. At this time I detained Brandon and as I moved to the first bedroom on the right in the hallway, I notice blood on the outside of the door. As I enter the bedroom, I see an older woman sitting on the ground with blood running down her forearm. The woman was then identified as Nicole Clodfelter, the mother of Brandon Clodfelter. Also, standing in the living room was Michael Clodfelter, the father of Brandon. At this point I called for Acadian.
This morning October 8th 1965 at about 5:13 am the body of Bob Sheldon was found lying next to the park fountain he was seen to be in a pool of blood. His body had a single stab wound in his back which had pierced his heart, killing him instantly. Supposed eye witnesses say that a small boy who was a member of the "Greaser Gang" attacked and killed Bob and intended to kill the rest of them. Cherry Valance claims that she was walking with Johnny and Ponyboy after the movies when Bob approached them in his car and threatened the two them. Be on the lookout for the two boys with the description of one that has long light-brown hair, green eyes, and is about five feet tall and another has long jet-black hair, large black eyes, and is about four feet six inches. The first one is considered to be Ponyboy and the second one is considered to be Johnny. The two are now on the run they were last seen at a party with Dally. Investigators report that Dally says he has no idea where these two are but he thinks that they are going to Mexico. A woman was taking a walk through the park and discovered the bloody corpse she said “I was hesitant at first because I thought they were watching me, but I gained some courage and called 911” the friends that were their helping Bob bully the 2 said they were there during the homicide, but decided not to call the police because they were drunk and they were scared after seeing him dead. They said, the murderer was a 16 year old boy named Johnny Cade.
Sue Grafton once stated: “Except for cases that clearly involve a homicidal maniac, the police like to believe murders are committed by those we know and love, and most of the time they're right.” This is clearly the thought the Boulder Colorado police conceived in the case of little beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey. As many have observed from the onslaught of media coverage, the day after Christmas 1996, six year old Jon Benet Ramsey was found buried under a white blanket, bound, beaten, and strangled to death in the wine cellar of their Boulder home. With such a strikingly rare and glamorous story of a six year old beauty queen dead, who was a part of a “perfect American upper-middle class family”, combined with a lack of a lead and ever mounting suspicion piling up against the parents it was no surprise to find that it was fuel to the media and soon stories sold and became a matter of competition between the press. So, like wildfire, this heart-breaking story spread, stretching across the nation, shattering the souls of the world. News broadcasts, magazine and newspaper articles, and television specials all shaped and molded peoples perceptions of this beautiful child’s murder, especially her parents, John and Pasty Ramsey’s involvement or lack there of. The police and FBI’s merciless quest to connect Jon Benet’s murder to her parents, seemed to cause the them to overlook important evidence, or at the very least dismiss suspicious findings that would otherwise send red flags to investigators. There are many contributors as to why this case remains unsolved including lack of investigative expertise, failure to protect valuable evidence, and focusing too much on the parents as suspects but, ultimately, the over involvement of...
...e on her part. Throughout the story, the Mother is portrayed as the dominant figure, which resembled the amount of say that the father and children had on matters. Together, the Father, James, and David strived to maintain equality by helping with the chickens and taking care of Scott; however, despite the effort that they had put in, the Mother refused to be persuaded that Scott was of any value and therefore she felt that selling him would be most beneficial. The Mother’s persona is unsympathetic as she lacks respect and a heart towards her family members. Since the Mother never showed equality, her character had unraveled into the creation of a negative atmosphere in which her family is now cemented in. For the Father, David and James, it is only now the memories of Scott that will hold their bond together.
Carlitos: Jimmy and Isabelle's son came into the world at a disadvantage and in some ways his heartache basically consisted of anger from both parents.
The murder of JonBenet Ramsey was very shocking and caused a huge investigation that is yet unsolved. Family was one of the things that contributed to JonBenet’s murder. JonBenet Ramsey is a very special six-year-old girl with a successful family. She was a little pageant girl with blond curly hair and blue eyes; she was a very well known competitor since she had won many pageants (SV;SV) (Schneider). Her mother, Patsy Ramsey, was a former beauty queen; her father, John Ramsey, was a millionaire businessman (SV; SV) (Bardsley, and Bellamy).
Throughout this particular case the audience learns numerous details about how John 's personal life may have led him to be a killer. John was a part of a group at school known as the "freaks" who were constantly victims of the popular kids ' bullying and taunts. John was even mugged at the young age of only thirteen by some older classmates. John 's father 's response was highly negative and abusive, telling John repeatedly that he was ashamed of him and that he needed to toughen up and be a man, and bought his son illegal weapons and violent video games instead of helping his son confront his conflicts. Later in the case the jury is introduced to Leo Clayton a boy who has experienced numerous of the same traumatic events that John had been tormented with, except for the fact that Leo 's father actually listened to his sons silent cries for help and confronted Robert about John 's inappropriate behavior at school towards Leo. While this did not eliminate Leo 's problems it did open a healthy and communicative relationship between father and son and showed Leo that he was not fighting this battle alone and that he was
Tragically, the butchered upper-torso of Winter’s once-robust body was stumbled upon by his father, who had noticed the absence of his son since Sunday, March 11 (Smith 2002, 25-26). Unsurprisingly, an investigation occurred to obtain the identity and whereabouts of the murderer. When the various pieces of the body are found in differing areas of the town, theory begins to formulate that the murder was conducted by one of the two butchers in town; Adolph Lewy, a Jew, and Gustav Hoffman, a Christian, due to the precision of the cuts made upon Winter’s body (Smith 28).
When Dave was younger him and his brothers, Ronald and Stan were happy in a normal family with a loving mom and dad, but as years passed things started to change. Dave’s parents became alcoholics. “On May 5, 2004, I received a phone call from Ron Reimer, David’s father,” said John Colapinto. “Ron was a surprise, and the tone of his voice suggested that he was not calling with happy news.” “David took his own life yesterday… He shot himself in his car.” Ron said. David's suicide was “a horrible shock but not a complete surprise” (John Colapinto) to many people who knew of his life. His parents, Ron and Janet Reimer were raised as Mennonites in Winnipeg. Janet was an energetic girl who was convinced by her mom to quit school after ninth grade and work at a sewing factory to help provide. At Janet’s fifteenth birthday she was forced to move out , so she went gladly. She moved to a nearby city where she met Ron Reimer whom she fell in love
events from a sentimental point of view rather than an objective one, Randall provides unique insight into the tragedy.
“The victims were enjoying the scenery, Doe explains, “the night was warm and beautiful with their dreams ahead of them as big as the stars of that night until the flashlight quickly approached them.” Mike Mageau was attacked in a similar fashion as the first murder: shot once they responded to the killer’s demands of leaving the car; in fact Doe states, “Mageau was certain the man was a police officer, which was the reason he opened the window...to show his ID.” After the shooting an anonymous person contacted the police department, and “He,” Doe explains, “identified himself as being responsible for killing the previous victims, Faraday and Jensen.” However, this one was different since Mageau was alive, though left in critical condition, progress to the investigation could have been substantial enough to identify the killer. Nonetheless, as claimed by Doe, “Progress really was not made” due to the amount of blurred and ambiguous information the police received, which ended up wasting five weeks without making any
The killer broke into the home, and then proceeded to cut the couple's throats with a straight razor. After he cut their throats he bashed their heads with an axe. After the killer left I waited a few minutes then I left because I didn’t think that either one of them had survived. I was new to New Orleans so I didn’t know where I was going so I got lost. After I found my way back to the house I noticed his brothers Jake and Andrew
Everything is different now, so that’s what they think. A few days go by and they’re still staying in the house. Outside of the house, they hear something crunching in the woods. Maybe it’s an animal, maybe it is a lost person perhaps. Jimmy glanced outside of the window to find it is a police officer outside. Jimmy dunks down to go warn Sally, they both quietly hide in the locked closet, as the police officer enters the old abandoned house. Whenever the suspicious police officer enters, he glances up, down, and then wonders about the cabin. Meanwhile, Sally is scared the police officer is going to find them, she starts breathing heavily, and
River I'm here to talk to your son about the recent murder I was told him and the victim have some history. Ok she replied with a confused expression and she called for her son, as her son was walking down the stairs he stopped immediately and then asked his mom who he was, he looked like he had just seen a ghost. The detective asked him if they could speak privately his mom was ok with it but the boy wasn't for it. But his mom made him, the detective began to speak with him he said what's your history with the victim? What victim? the boy replied confused, don't play dumb with me kid you know what happened between you and the victim, Billy Mays. The kid cracked, he said look I lost control of my temper he began to cry. Hey calm down we all make mistakes but this is not a slap on the wrist your going to trial for murder as a millennial. In the trial the River family didn't believe it was their son, and the defendant said we had no evidence to prove it was him and said the detective pressured him to confess. But the forensic test came out positive for a foot print match in the end he was charged to jury until he becomes of age to go to jail were then there will be a second trial to determine if he goes to prison or not with a minimum prison sentence of 25
