This morning October 8th 1965 at about 5:13 am the body of Bob Sheldon was found lying next to the park fountain he was seen to be in a pool of blood. His body had a single stab wound in his back which had pierced his heart, killing him instantly. Supposed eye witnesses say that a small boy who was a member of the "Greaser Gang" attacked and killed Bob and intended to kill the rest of them. Cherry Valance claims that she was walking with Johnny and Ponyboy after the movies when Bob approached them in his car and threatened the two them. Be on the lookout for the two boys with the description of one that has long light-brown hair, green eyes, and is about five feet tall and another has long jet-black hair, large black eyes, and is about four feet six inches. The first one is considered to be Ponyboy and the second one is considered to be Johnny. The two are now on the run they were last seen at a party with Dally. Investigators report that Dally says he has no idea where these two are but he thinks that they are going to Mexico. A woman was taking a walk through the park and discovered the bloody corpse she said “I was hesitant at first because I thought they were watching me, but I gained some courage and called 911” the friends that were their helping Bob bully the 2 said they were there during the homicide, but decided not to call the police because they were drunk and they were scared after seeing him dead. They said, the murderer was a 16 year old boy named Johnny Cade. Cherrys description of what happened states “Sheldon and his friends were driving around town at about 3-4am, while they were drunk, and saw Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade walking in Central Park. Sheldon was angry at them for watching a movie with me and wen... ... middle of paper ... ...tly on the ground through a small window. When all of the kids were saved, the roof caved in while Johnny was still left in the church the roof caved in and later fell on Johnny’s back Ponyboys’ arm was on fire and that’s when one of the other heroes, Dallas Winston, came to help but he was far too late and one was seriously injured Dallas dragged Curtis out through the window and started hitting his arm since it was on fire. Then, there was a loud scream from the church and Winston jumped into the church to get Johnny out of the building. Luckily, all of the children were saved by the time the church was totally burned down. Ponyboy Johnny and Dallas were taken to the hospital. Ponyboy was released after a few hours and Dallas has a badly burned arm. However, Cade is in a critical condition. He has a burned back from when the roof caved in and he is paralyzed
They left by the sunrise and managed to make it far from their houses. All went fine until Jake suddenly screamed… He had fell from a steep and hurt his ankle.
After a basketball game, four kids, Andrew Jackson, Tyrone Mills, Robert Washington and B.J. Carson, celebrate a win by going out drinking and driving. Andrew lost control of his car and crashed into a retaining wall on I-75. Andy, Tyrone, and B.J. escaped from the four-door Chevy right after the accident. Teen basketball star and Hazelwood high team captain was sitting in the passenger's side with his feet on the dashboard. When the crash happened, his feet went through the windshield and he was unable to escape. The gas tank then exploded and burned Robbie to death while the three unharmed kids tried to save him.
As juror number one, I had to research why Johnny should, or should not be tried for the murder of Bob Sheldon, the Soc. I also had to research murder among teens and what happened during the killing of Bob Sheldon. During my research, I found that murder was considered a premeditated killing, and I also found that Johnny can only be tried for murder in Connecticut, New York, and North Carolina because of his age. Johnny was planning on saving, Ponyboy Curtis, who at the time was being drowned by David, the Soc Bob had told him to “give Ponyboy a bath.” In trying to save Ponyboy he pulled out his pocket knife and stabbed Bob Sheldon in the back therefore causing David to release Ponyboy and flee the scene. After finding that information I also found that Bob Sheldon and his group of friends had stopped their car on The Greasers side of town and got out to show them a lesson for taking out their girls. ...
Friday April 24th J.P. Walker, Preacher Lee, Crip Reyer, L.C. Davis got into Reyer’s Oldsmobile and took off on a mission to kill Mark Charles Parker. Three other cars of men followed, they went to the courthouse/jail in Poplarville and they could not get in. So they went to Jewel Alford’s House (the jail keeper) to get the keys to the jail. Alford went with the four men to the courthouse.
Ponyboy was a hero in the book The Outsiders. I think so because when the church was on fire and knew
Everyone else had stood around aimlessly and confused (other than Ponyboy who was right with Johnny), but Johnny was the one who really jumped into the action. This remarkable boy leaped into danger that would soon claim his life, without a second thought.
After stating the evidence I had collected about this case, it only makes me feel even stronger about how I believe that Johnny is innocent. I believe you do to. Because as I had said earlier, Johnny had only pulled out the knife for self defense by the reason being his friend Ponyboy was being drowned but one of the attackers that is now deceased. One of the attackers best friends was there when Bob was killed. He says that he had witnessed Bob trying to drown Ponyboy and saw Johnny notice what Bob was doing and that Johnny had pulled out the knife to save his friend without any intentions to kill anyone. I found most of these sources were found in this website http://theoutsidersbook.blogspot.com/2005/09/whole-book.html.
Mrs. Obriant’s class was enjoying a picnic by the old church on Jay Mountain when it suddenly burst into flames. ““We were having a school picnic up here and the first thing we knew, the place is burning up,”” (Hinton 90) said a man named Jerry, who witnessed the event. Though their teacher Mrs. O’Briant did not realize it, four of her students were actually trapped inside the church. During the time that this happened, Dallas Winston, Johnny Cade and Ponyboy Curtis were driving back to their home when they passed the burning church. Realizing there were children stuck in the church, they immediately decided to take action. Cade and Curtis raced into the flaming building and got all four of the children to safety. When Cade was trapped in
The most interesting event was when Johnny and Ponyboy were trying to save the little children from the fire. There was a lot of action and showed the courage in the boys. This event marks what a true hero Johnny and Ponyboy are.
So he did the right thing and fought back to show Noah and every bully that they shouldn't mess with anyone (GO GET THEM JIMMY!!!). In his mind Jimmy remembered all the action movies and video games that the hero always won and the bad guys always lost (Geak). So Jimmy went for a super uppercut to Chomp, Noah’s Right man. He ended up missing and hitting Tom in the eye and knocking him out cold. Then Chomp kicked Tom out of the way and grabbed Jimmy from the head and kneed him in the head so hard his head started to bleed but Jimmy did not fall. Jimmy looked at Tom and saw his shirt was ripped and he did not have any shoes, he was bleeding from his nose, coughing blood and one eye completely close and one closing because of Jimmy. Then he knew that to win and not go to the hospital would be to fight dirty and quick so they don’t get
Bob was a smart, kind man at times, however, other times he was a wild recluse. With no discipline from his parents, and no tough love, he fell into a pit of destruction. Although Bob’s death could be blamed on Cherry Valance or Johnny Cade, it is his parents that are responsible for his death. Because they never punished their son when he did something wrong or taught him a lesson of respect, Bob suffered the ultimate consequence.
Ponyboy Curtis is a hero, in my opinion. One reason is a hero is because he stayed with Johnny to keep him company when he was afraid to go home because his parents were fighting. To me, this shows loyalty. Another reason he is a hero is because he stood up for Johnny and himself when the Socs came and jumped them. Ponyboy did not want them stomping all over the two of them again, even if it meant he could possible
On September 24th, in Tulsa Oklahoma, a dead body identified to be Bob Sheldon was found beside the fountain of Oklahoma Park by a witness named S.E Hinton who was taking a stroll in the park. Hinton described the scene to be a as traumatizing sight, especially with having witnessed the puddle of blood that laid beside Sheldon’s lifeless body. You could write It was reported Cade stabbed Sheldon in self-defense with a six-inch switchblade Cade, in self-defense, stabbed Sheldon to death with a six-inch switchblade, which he always carried always with him for protection. After the murder, stabbing Sheldon, the two young boys disappeared for five days, where they escaped to an abandoned church on Jay Mountain, Windrixville. Maybe here you should write that and after five days they were caught by the police.
Johnny practically drags you to The Dingo to meet Dallas. When you saw Dallas standing outside, smoking, you immediately tried to chicken out, but Johnny wouldn't let you. He pushed you towards Dallas and shooed you towards him.
...d shots and Alan’s hand had gotten hit. The boys were back inside and the police called and told them that Doctor Curt had arrived. Doctor Curt spoke to the boys and told them that the first shot had been an accident; and that he had read the paper and it looked fine, so they could come out. The kids all walked out, they dropped their guns and were handcuffed, except for Zach who went to his mother and got his medication.
