60 Hour Report
On Monday, January 30 I came to Arcadia at 9:00 am and like the most day, we go to the HTC Center to clean and fold all the dirty towels. After that, we went over to baseball to put zip ties on top of the dugouts so that the banner/sign that they have can stay still. Later on that day I came back to work the boys’ basketball game vs UT Arlington. During that game, I did basically do the same thing like women’s’ basketball game. During the game I was basically just monitoring people and making sure people was not taking photos with the flash on. Also, during the game right before halftime, I went to the cafeteria to get the refs water for their halftime break. During the second half was pretty much the same but then I had to go get the refs lunches for after the game. But, during this game, the other intern and I went to the school to pick up the basketball signs that was around campus to put them back in the hub. After the game, we did break down the gym. Breaking down the gym is just like setting it up but backward. We took down the p-rails and side rails. After, that we move the bleachers back into position.
Tuesday, January 31 was a really short day. The only thing we did that day was we went to HTC Center to set up the main basketball goals for the Men’s and Women’s practice for that day.

On Wednesday, February 1 at 9:00 am the other interns and I went to the baseball stadium to clean seats and to get the leaves out from the stands with a leaf blower.
Also swept the trash from the stadium. Later that day after lunch we went back to baseball around 1 to finish what we did this morning. After, finish cleaning the baseball stadium we went to softball to clean the padding. The way we clean the padding was with water, mean green, and towels. With one person wetting the padding, somebody would come over and spray mean green on the pads. Then after spraying mean green, we would wipe the pad with the towels while the mean green was still on
it. On Thursday, February 2 I was a short day just like Tuesday of this week. The only thing we did was we went to the baseball stadium to clean the top of the dugouts. Friday and Saturday of this week I had days off but I had to come back on Sunday, February 5. The only thing I did on Sunday was I went to HTC to move the basketball goals from the main court so volleyball could practice in the morning.
About a week into my time at this new school the athletic director, Mr. Washington approched me. "Do you play any sports?" He asked. Although this seemed like a simple question, it made my nerves spike up. "Softball", I said in a low tone. His face lit up and he explained how they had one space open on the team, they needed
Have you ever wanted longer passing periods? Many schools have started to give 7-8 minute passing periods instead of 4 minutes. There are many reasons we should be given longer passing periods. We should have longer passing periods to benefit our teachers, students, and health.
In the first 30 days I feel it’s imperative that I understand what your goals and expectations are for me in a management role. I intend on building on Absolute’s mission statement and our core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Compassion, Teamwork, and Continuous Improvement. My philosophy for the first 30 days is gathering data, learning about my employees and learning company policy and procedure and again follows our mission statement. I have three sections that I need to have addressed in the first 30 days.
It was 2:30 and warm ups were about to start. Everyone was there and we snapped our helmets buckles on. After we lined up at the 25 yard line and took a nice easy jog around the field. Each one of us stretched, we did jumping jacks, leg lifts, push ups etc. The whole team was eager to get a drink and luckily we did! When we returned to the field we were practicing offense
About a week after my first day we had to go and hang out and play games all day with these people from Jacksonville call the Jacksonville Jaycees. We played a lot of team games that we played like football, handball, and we even played some relay races my team was winning in all of our games. But then for the last event before lunch and before the jaycees had to leave and go back to Jacksonville sorry off topic but the last event was a
“2 Million Minutes” is an interesting film that shows the portrayals of high school students from the United States, China, and India. It follows two successful students in each country and describes their hobbies, work habits, and life goals as they prepare for college and beyond. One would expect that the American students would seem more intelligent, better prepared for college, and have more tenacity than the Indian and Chinese students since the United States is rich and can prepare its students with a quality education — but the movie shows that this is not the case. “2 Million Minutes” raises a very troubling idea that I find very interesting: are American students falling behind?
Four Hours in My Lai revolves around those “others” who died at the hands of the American military, when they never should have. But, it is not just an inquiry into the massacre of up to four hundred unarmed civilians by American troops, it is also a cautionary tale about Western arrogance in South-East Asia. Nevertheless, there is a clear impression that Vietnam has got over the Vietnam War; something, this books reminds us, cannot be said of the United States. The Vietnamese have fought in Cambodia and on their Chinese border since the Vietnam War, a martial fixture-list more punishing than the one faced by the United States in the same period. Of course, Vietnam did not experience the same sense of national humiliation: and yet its losses
running, and do the same to cool down."A warm up prepares your body for exercise by gradually incrementing blood flow and raising core muscle temperature," verbalizes Jerry Napp, Tampa Bay running coach. "The cooldown may be even more consequential. Ceasing suddenly can cause leg cramps, nausea, dizziness, or fainting."The Exception: It takes less than 10 minutes to rev up on warm days.5. The 2-Day Rule If something hurts for two straight days while running, take two days off.Two straight days of pain may signal the commencement of an injury. "Even taking five days of consummate rest from running will have less hit/effect on your fitness level," verbalizes Troy Smurawa, M.D., team medico for USA Triathlon. The Exception: If something hurts for a fortnight, even if you've taken your reposal days, visually perceive a medico.6.
It was one of the biggest games of the year our rival East Riverside Academy. I was in the dugout throughout the first inning. Then one of our best player Steven fell and hurt his foot badly, then for a random reason coach, Chavez put me in the game. I wasn’t very
Internet research such as blogs and unofficial sites were valid in providing a great deal of information relevant to my topic that could assist in answering the research question however, they were all generally unreliable due to many not having an author listed and the ones that did had no qualifications in either childhood obesity or screen time. Blogs can be seen as bias as many are generally based entirely on the authors point of view and opinions.
The definition of procrastination is: the action of delaying or postponing something. Tim Urban, who conducts a speech called Inside the Mind of a Master Procrastinator for TED in 2016, explains that every human is a procrastinator- some more than others. I agree with everything he says in his speech because I can connect with every piece of evidence he claims, mostly including that there is a “Panic Monster” that pops up in your brain when you are close to a deadline and haven’t gotten anything done, especially when it comes from why I’m always so stressed out about school. There are two different kinds of procrastination: deadline and non-deadline. (Urban, 2016) Everyone that I have ever met is a procrastinator
“Two Million Minutes,” gets a perspective of High School students from China, India, and here in The United States. The film targets a pair of students consisting one female, and one male. Neil and Bridget are from America, they are top tier students in their High School.
I come from a family full of tall people, my dad is 6’5. My mom, and dad are both from Mexico from a state called Jalisco. I come from an alright size family, there are four brothers, and i'm the youngest but the tallest. For being the youngest, I usually had to get the hand-me-downs of my older brothers. I grew up struggling with money, because my parents got a divorce when I was around 8 years old. So, my mom would work almost everyday in a place called Las Casuelas Cafe, here in Palm Desert, only being able to win minimum wage and some tips.
Long working hours continue to be one of the largest health concerns in the world. Currently, the world population has become so busy due to the pressure from harsh economic conditions. People are therefore spending long working hours in the workplace, which is an aspect that has negative impact on their health conditions. Statistics from Working Condition Survey indicates that approximately 30% of workers residing in European Union believe that their health is at risk due to the hours they spent in the workplace (Gurung, 2010:16)
