When I first walked into the cottage that I was going to be living in and I met my cottage mom and my cottage dad. The cottage parents names where Mr. Inman and Mrs. Inman and they really kind of hit it off with my mom and dad. But when I walked in I only met a couple of the boys that were already there the first kid I met was Landon Maddon and i had to help him move out of the room that I was going to be in. The next kid I met was Buddy Crews and it was really creepy because he was really weird and just talked to talked and he just said the most randomest things. Then I meet Josh Ross my roommate I learned really quick from him not to say lip why?, because he has a really big bottom lip and everyone calls him big lip. So I mean when I first …show more content…
Johns River. We wake up at about five in the morning get dressed and go to the dining room for breakfast and to get paired up with our guides then after that we go to the river and drop the boat in the water and head out at about five-thirty in the morning and we stay out fishing all day until about three then we come in for the judging of the fish. The judging of the fish tournament is judged on the weight and length of the fish that the boys catch. Then after all the boats and all the guides leave and the awards are all given out the boys at the ranch get to go swimming in the entryway of the river for a couple of hours after the tournament. We also had a huge horse riding event on the ranch that we call the ranch ride. Now the ranch ride is where a hole bunch of people from all around the state of Florida and come out to the ranch and they bring their horses and come out and ride around the …show more content…
The ranch ride is a time that everyone can come out meet some of the boys on the ranch and just come see the ranch and even just to have a relaxing day riding their horse. It is also a time that the boys can tell the people that come out about ranch life and even some of the boys talk about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to the visitors and even some of the people that come out talk about Jesus to the boys. The ranch ride went pretty good my first year here we had a lot of people at the ranch and when they left all the people that came out said that they loved it here and they would love to come back out next year. About a week after my first day we had to go and hang out and play games all day with these people from Jacksonville call the Jacksonville Jaycees. We played a lot of team games that we played like football, handball, and we even played some relay races my team was winning in all of our games. But then for the last event before lunch and before the jaycees had to leave and go back to Jacksonville sorry off topic but the last event was a

Some kids that have been playing for a long time got cut. I couldn’t believe it. The next day at practice coach said now that you made the team we are going to have a tryout for who is going to start and make lines according on skill and your ability to work. Every drill I was first, we ran a thing called the stair way to haven, I was first.
I arrived at practice on time and that is when all of the running started. For what seemed like hours, we only sprinted down and back on the dek, until finally, it was over. All practices were like that though, and after a while, I was getting used to it. As for the people, the coaches were nice enough, and I met some of my best friends there. Michael, Julian, Marco, and Tyler were the first people who talked to me. I was still playing with Bill’s for local tournaments, but I was traveling with Penn Hills to places like New Jersey and Canada. Then one day, problems started arising. I was practicing with Penn Hills, preparing for a tournament in New Jersey, instead of going to Bill’s, and they started cutting my playing time. At that point I had to make a decision; Penn Hills, or Bill’s. I chose Penn Hills, and I do not regret it for a second. Later that season, we traveled to the New Jersey tournament and had a blast. In the hotel at night we would swim, play basketball, and relax in Michael’s room, only getting in a little bit of trouble.
Covered from head to toe with red quarter-sized hail welts, I rushed off the well-used softball field with a traumatizing memory. Even with frustrating coaches and umpires, we still managed to stay ahead of Sauk Rapids-Rice. This forever memory will always be something to laugh about and relieve anger from my frustrating coaches.
It is just a fun time to be with friends to see who is the best that day. There is about five places around Garner that there are sweet jumps to show off on and see who the best of the best is a lot of times I take the win that's if my brother Tucker is not home if he is home he will kick everyone's butt. One time Tucker and I were out messing around and I was trying to splash him and at the same time I thought I should jump but I didn’t. My leg was off the running broad and I landed on it and I thought I broke my leg but I just sprained it.
In 2014 I was determined to make the high school soccer team. Every day at 8 am at the beginning of a dreadfully hot August morning, I would get to the turf fields for 4 hours and participate in “hell week”. After a long week, I made the JV team. I was never put into the game and felt like my hard work was put to no use. My sophomore year rolled around and I tried extra hard to impress the coaches. Anything and everything was a competition to make it to the top. By the end of the week, we all gathered around the paper that had names of the players who made it. I didn’t make the team. After tears and telling myself to move on, I went to the field hockey tryouts. I knew nothing about the sport and was terrified that soccer wasn’t my go-to
On my sixteenth birthday, my friends--we call ourselves The Crew--gave me the best gift ever. They combined two of my favorite things--the TV show, Law and Order, and Taylor Swift--and created a mini movie. The first time I watched it, and every time since, I crack up laughing. It is the funniest, quirkiest creation I have ever seen and it’s a fantastic representation of how thoughtful and loving my friends truly are.
Ruth tidies up the area. John is back in his bed. Teef walks in wearing a Burberry scarf wrapped around her neck. She holds a pizza box and a wrapped gift in her hand. She glances at Morris, looking at his black eye and elevated leg.
His people back home knows exactly who and what he is talking about in most of his songs that’s why every time he goes home him and the homies make a joke about it. Making it out the hood was a goal for him growing up and that’s what he did made it out. I look up to him personally one day I would like to go to one of his concerts to see how it feels like to be in the atmosphere. Having the gift to just be able to write poetry and turn it into wonderful music is just amazing that’s why he’s one of my favorite rappers because not all rappers catch my attention with their music.
We celebrate the 4th of July and Halloween there. On the 4th of July we always participate in a small parade around the campground. In the parade, kids ride their bikes, people on ride golf carts, and they also throw candy to the people watching the parade. On the 4th of July we also go to the beach across the street, lay on a blanket, and watch the beautiful fireworks brighten up the dark night sky. For Halloween we always celebrate it earlier at the campground. We dress up in our costumes and trick or treat at the campers. When the sky starts fading, we go to the pavilion and get free hotdogs, chips, and water. The two holidays I celebrate there are one reason why I love Duggan’s Family Campground.
During freetime, you can play carpet ball, tetherball, basketball, wiffle ball, play on the playground, talk, sleep, whatever you wanted pretty much. It was during freetime that I made even more friends, Ivan and Clayton. Julia, LIzzy, Clayton, Ivan, and I usually played carpetball or tetherball together at freetime. Next, the camp director, Larry, would call us over the intercom to meet at a certain spot for a short bible lesson. After the short lesson, we had quiet time. During quiet time, you go anywhere you want on the camp and have about 15 minutes alone with God. You could pray, study the bible, whatever you wanted. I prayed the full 15 minutes of quiet time. Once quiet time was over, we would have breakfast. Almost all of the food there was really good, all except for the macaroni and
As the dark stadium filled with fire, with the sounds of guns and bombs exploding everywhere, the crazed fans yelled at the top of their lungs. The enormous stage was rumbling with the sound of a single guitar as the band slowly started their next encore performance. Soon after I realized that I was actually at the Sanitarium concert listening to Metallica play "One", I thought to my self, "Is this real, am I actually here right now?" I had a weird feeling the entire time because I had worked all summer to simply listen to music with a bunch of strangers.
I had never really been a part of a team that had a chance to win something, but the potential was always there. I finally got my chance to be a part of such a team my sophomore year of track. Mr. Jones, the head track coach, had decided to experiment with some different races to gain more team points. Since the girls' team lacked a medley relay, he placed Cindy, Kim, Susan and I in those spots. Cindy would run the 400, Kim would run the 200, and Susan and I would start the race off by each running the 100. We all had worked viciously to earn those spots by running off against our teammates.
A week later, everyone knew who I was and noticed I was the best player on my team. As the season progressed,my team made playoffs and we played in the championship. Unfortunately, my team didn’t win but we had a great season. After the game a man went up to my mom and asked if ‘’DaDa’’ was her child. My mom said ‘’yes” and he had a conversation with her and asked if I could play travel ball with his team. Of course my mom said yes and when she told me, I was so excited to be traveling playing baseball. I went home and screamed so loud when got in my
As our names were called, me and Jane both squealed i excitement at the same time and luckily for Luke and Mike, they got to be roommates and unlike most teenage siblings, they were really happy about it. I do remember a time were I was that close to someone, but I don't think that will ever happen again.
