3D Animation is a computer generated illustration that gives objects space. In 3D, the images and the graphics use three dimensions that give characters a depth, which makes them appear to be real and living. The graphic designers usually using computer software to give their pictures and images a life.
There are four phrases of creating a 3D Animation production which are planning phrase, which including development, pre-production, shot-production and post-production. Taking create a Cinema 4D animation as an example.
Development
1. Research
In development phrase, firstly project team need to research lots of information about how to create your 3D animation production. The research including what is overall style of animation, is it cartoony or realistic? Comparing with research data, project team need to ensure the suitable theme of animation, the number of characters and simple background environment.
2. Planning the schedule
Secondly, project team need according to research data to determine the schedule of how long the project is going to essential when dealing with animation. In making schedule period, project team need to discuss with customer and ensure every process which pre-production, shot-production and post-production period finish on time, moreover ensure the target resolution of animation.
3. Storyboard
When finish above parameters, the project team need to conceptualize story which develop the characters, conflicts and plot of the story. Meanwhile develop the outline or script of the story. Later it is important to draw storyboard of animation. Project team need to draw out the appearance of characters, the simple environment and shot/scene references for later use in animatic period.
Pre-production

Post-production
Post Production is the term for the final stage in film making in which edit the raw material together to form the completed film. The processes including picture editing, sound editing, composing and recording the score, music editing, adding visual special effects, adding audio sound effects and so on.
1. Final edit
Replace the animatic with the final composited renders into the timeline.
2. Sound edit & Music scoring
Adding layers of background sound effects and looking for royalty-free music to accompany your animation.
3. Titles, Credits and Combined Picture with Sound
4. Final Output
After everything has been looked over and polished, output your final animation as required format.

With this short but very interesting and informative class I have just scratched the surface of the what it takes to make a full fleged film. It takes much more than I had presumed to make a movie in Hollywood. The number of people that it takes to make a minute of a movie let alone the entire movie was astonishing to me. There are many things that it takes to start making a movie but without an idea of some sort there is no movie to be made.
A successful project depends on a good storyboard. The plan cost will determine how complex of the animation, especially some important visual technique use inside the animations. The company will sign an agreement with clients about the storyboard; this is a guarantee that the final animation will meet the requirements of the clients. Some detail decision will made within the storyboarding process, in order to change some unnecessary difficult shots, which highly cost. For example, animating a human heart and its beating, we can choose not to make the blood transmit through the blood vessel. This is to reduce the compl...
A film project from its beginning to the time it shows in the theater can be a rather long tedious journey. Most films never make it mostly because of the complexity of the project, faith in the project dwindles, or for the lack money. It’s interesting to think that many of the great films: "The Wizard of Oz," "Gone with the Wind," "Casablanca," "On the Waterfront" and "Star Wars" almost never made it to the theater. It all starts with an idea that some property will make a great film. Most but not all films today start at small companies called Production Houses.
The process starts off by creating a timeline for the animation of what I want in it and well these ideas will flow. I will have to consider what is important to the story and what I think will work best with my intended audience. Once I am happy with my storyboard I will create my characters out of plasticine. This process will take time to do as I must get the characters to look as close to pictures as possible. Once my figures are complete I will need to create certain backdrops for different scenes. Once I have the foundations to begin my project I will first experiment with the figures working on set movements that will appear often in the animation. Once I understand how to use these movements in my animation. After I am comfortable will my skills in the animation I will create it and create versions of it until I am completely satisfied with my finished project. Once I have the animation I will add voicing to the animation and background music to finish
“Our plans miscarry because they have no aim. When a man does not know what harbor he is making for, no wind is the right wind” a famous quote about our goal by Seneca. It is a metaphor about the achievement goal and objectives by good planning skills. One has to plan for what one wants to achieve and where one wants to go. One of the most important things is to have good planning, before taking any project the first think you should do is to create project plan. Planning can be defined as preparing a sequence of action to achieve specific goals and objectives. According to Kerzner (2009), “project planning is desirable that the project manager is involved from project conception through execution. It must be systematic, flexible to handle, closely disciplined through reviews and control and capable of accepting multi functional inputs (pg. 412)”. The importance of planning a project is to describe the work so that it will be easily identifiable to the project team member.
A huge part of film and how film is made is how directors control physical elements of filming to display themes in their movies. This results in a powerful way of expression oneself through film. This can be done in many ways, including editing. Editing is taking footage and crafting that footage together to make the film and directors can use various techniques to make the best version of a film possible.
...y conceivable scene can be computer generated if resources are committed to achieve the desired goal. Technology is set to continue to revolutionise the film industry for many years to come (Huang 2004).
Animations are a series of drawings, computer graphics, or photographs of objects, like puppets and models, which are different from each to create a variety of entertainment for the audiences. Animations are what brings excitement and mystery, hooking the audience in through interest. It is a form of some sort of “magic” where things that aren’t real but from the imagination comes to life in front of people who live these mundane, ordinary lives, adding color to the eyes and mind. The creators of such amazing arts and creation are animators.
Computer technology invades the film industry. The existence of computers have aided in the production of genres of film ranging from action movie special effects, to cartoon animation and claymation. Computer Generated Imagery, better known as CGI, assists filmmakers in many ways. An image can be made two-dimensional from a three-dimensional scene, camera angles can be altered to make a character seem larger and thus more important than its surrounding bodies, and colors can be brightened or neutralized, among other things (Parsons, Oja 1). Without the aid of computers, movies would not have the ability to be what they are today.
Project planning falls in the Planning Process Group which consists of those processes to establish the projects total scope, define the projects objectives, and courses of action to achieve those objectives. During the planning process, all the documents that are needed to carry the project through the project lifecycle will be developed such as the project management plan. Project management requires repeated feedback loops as additional information becomes available and is better understood. The planning process delineates the strategy, tactics, and path to successfully complete the project. With that, the planning of a project must walk through all the those processes from executing, monitoring and controlling through the closing process.
Offering the unique ability to visually and audibly convey a story, films remain a cornerstone in modern society. Combined with a viewer’s desire to escape the everyday parameters of life, and the excitement of enthralling themselves deep into another world, many people enjoy what films stand to offer. With the rising popularity of films across the world, the amount of film makers increases every day. Many technological innovations mark the advancement of film making, but the essential process remains the same. Pre-production accounts for everything taken place before any shooting occurs, followed by the actual production of the film, post-production will then consist of piecing the film together, and finally the film must reach an audience. Each step of this process contributes to the final product, and does so in a unique right. The process of film making will now start chronologically, stemming from the idea of the story, producing that story into a film, editing that footage together, and finally delivering that story to its viewers.
Video editing is the process of combining video footage from two or more recordings with audio from a recording system, and other images and audio files. It also includes adding text, animations, and graphics to a motion picture sequence to produce a single or series of motion pictures which can be viewed as a single concise presentation.
Project management involves all activities that encompass scheduling, planning, and controlling projects. A successful project manager ensure that an organization’s resources are being used both efficiently and effectively. Most projects need to be uniquely developed require a sense of customization and the ability to adapt to any posed challenges. The scope of effective project management includes defining what the project is and what is being expected to be accomplished. Projects are imposed to fulfill a certain need and project managers must have the ability to create the proper definition. Goals and the means used to attain those goals have to be clearly stated. Project Managers must also have the ability to plan
It is important to have the whole team involved and every team member should about the status of the project and identify there responsibility towards the project success.
