My identity started from the place farthest away in the eastern hemisphere across the Pacific Ocean. My life began from the small refugee camp in the Southeast Asian country called Nepal. Life in the refugee camp was miserable. My family had to think of what to eat at night or where to sleep when it’s rainy. When the house wasn’t made of the concrete material, even the wind could blow off the roof. The house I lived in was built from bamboo, and the roof was made of bamboo and plastic. The roof wasn’t strong enough to hold the heavy rain, so the shower drains through the little holes in the roof. When life isn’t going as everyone desired of, people start to dream. With my small eyes, I also dreamed of being a successful person in the future to have a standard living. My first inspiration of my dream was from my parents. My parent's dream was to go to college and spend the rest of their life helping the community. My parents are an inspiration to me because they didn’t attend college or any educational institute, but they did not become discouraged or give up. Instead, they focused …show more content…

The working environment for the biomedical engineer isn’t easy. Based on the article, “A Career as a Biomedical Engineer” from the EBSCOhost, the duties of biomedical engineer include designing the product for the medical experimental, researching the facts to improvise on how to utilize the pharmaceutical products efficiently and much more. Similarly, as a Biomedical Engineer, I will be performing the same responsibilities in the future. Based on the facts from the article, I could be working anywhere in indoor setting such as offices, laboratories, classroom, and factories. It is nearly impossible for a biomedical engineer to work on her own so I will be working as a part of a team of the experts in other areas including scientists, business managers, doctors, lawyers and other
