Many people don't know what biomedical engineers do. A biomedical engineer’s job is actually quite interesting. They analyze and create solutions to improving the quality and effectiveness of patient care. They also design technology to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities. They have a big role in helping people begin new lives. The main job of a biomedical engineer is to help create prosthetic limbs or organs for those who are in need of one.
Preparations and Qualifications
Becoming a biomedical engineering is difficult and requires some work, but it is not impossible. A person can actually begin working after pursuing his/her bachelor’s degree in either biomedical engineering or in a different engineering field. Although a bachelor’s degree in engineering will require either a graduate degree in BME or on-the-job training. There are many institutions that offer such training and are also top schools for BME in the midwest such as: Illinois Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, Southern Illinois University, University of Illinois in Chicago, and U of I in Urbana-Champaign. There are special requirements/qualities that will increase the chance of being hired as a BME. Having integrity, innovation, persistence, and dependability are really important qualities that one should have. A BME is depended on to be able to create projects or designs in a given amount of time. Although more people will have the chance to be hired due to the growth, it also means more competition. As more people find out about the benefits of being a BME, more people will look into that career. All careers have its ups and downs, but that doesn't mean that it is not a good career.
Conclusion

Although, what they do is quite outstanding; helping people with disabilities by making prosthetics or coming up with a replaceable for lost organs or limbs is a big thing. Without biomedical engineers, doctors would not have been able to save as many lives as they have till now.
